CrossFit this is easily the best pic yet! Although I can't wait to see what the haters have to say...

Comment #3 - Posted by: Josh M at September 28, 2012 5:43 PM

...that's not body building, that's all CrossFit. and she's one of the most beautiful women i've ever seen.

Comment #4 - Posted by: martha at September 28, 2012 5:52 PM

Love the gun stuff. Thanks.

Comment #5 - Posted by: Ben at September 28, 2012 5:57 PM

I'm not sure what's more beautiful: that (what looks to be a Kimber) 1911 or those abs.

Comment #6 - Posted by: Alan L. at September 28, 2012 5:57 PM

Alan, good eyesight. That's a Kimber, and there are more pics of it accompanying the article.

Comment #7 - Posted by: martha at September 28, 2012 6:06 PM

Sounds like some of you guys are a little intimated. That's a real woman, with real strength, probably more then most guys could handle. That's a ton of hard work and dedication etched in those ads and muscles.

Comment #8 - Posted by: Michelle Stafford at September 28, 2012 6:07 PM

Great physique, Christmas!

Comment #9 - Posted by: DAO at September 28, 2012 6:08 PM

If she were featured everyday, crossfit would be the most popular site on the web.

Comment #10 - Posted by: JB at September 28, 2012 6:10 PM

I only browsed the pictures of the article but the picture on the last page appears to be close quarter drills. The one dude has his arms fully extended firing at the target only a couple meters away. My opinion only: tuck it in. Point shoot (or hip shoot if drawing from a holster) at close distances. Don't give the threat an opportunity to take your firearm.

Comment #20 - Posted by: Nathaniel at September 28, 2012 7:32 PM

HQ. I'm just getting into crossfit and love it. Though it's hurt some of my power lifting number, I am reaching endurance and overall fitness levels I never thought possible.

In researching crossfit I've seen a ton of videos featuring Greg and what crossfit is all about. could we get a video on his personal fitness background, and how he developed the principles of crossfit.

I think it would be extremely interesting to hear about how a lifelong gymnast was open minded enough to embrace olympic lifting, power lifting, sprinting, endurance exercise, and all other facets of crossfit while coming from such a specific discipline

Comment #21 - Posted by: bill at September 28, 2012 7:49 PM

Nice pic, but does not tell you how nice a lady Christmas is, what a great coach she is, and what a great ambassador she is for CF. Heck, I learned all that on 2 drop-in visits to her old box.

Comment #22 - Posted by: cbs at September 28, 2012 8:00 PM

I love this wife said she doesn't like the vascularity...I disagree...strong is beautiful! Love the tats too

Comment #23 - Posted by: Tank at September 28, 2012 8:11 PM

Good article. I have been actively shooting in USPSA (which is how I found Crossfit), and would recommend it to anyone. The focus on power, speed, and accuracy is one that is a good yardstick to be able to measure your skills and technique.

Comment #24 - Posted by: Albert at September 28, 2012 8:12 PM

I love her

Comment #25 - Posted by: Kyle at September 28, 2012 8:17 PM

Comment #28 - Posted by: David at September 28, 2012 8:34 PM

Awesome picture, even though I'm not into tats, still an awesome pic.

Ref the firearms training; Jeff Gonzales is one of the finest trainers available, former SEAL with tons of operational experience and a solid instructional background, she chose well.

It makes me sad that she has a Kimber though, the QC at Kimber makes Baby Jesus weep.

Comment #29 - Posted by: Chuck Haggard at September 28, 2012 8:44 PM

Christmas rocks. She's a beautiful, bright, and engaging woman. Judging by that picture if you're saying hateful things about her, you're not only a jerk ... you're not very smart.

Comment #30 - Posted by: Daigle at September 28, 2012 9:05 PM

seriously cool pic.
As far as Kimbers not being good firearms chuck you be trippin'. All American gun. One of the few things we do right anymore.

Comment #31 - Posted by: luke at September 28, 2012 9:06 PM

She is beautiful. She's not the first tattooed vixen ( and probably won't be the last.

If you look at the comments from link, nothing much negative, some chatty, but all pretty much dealing the WOD or community. Those were the days, so sorry they are gone.

Comment #38 - Posted by: patd at September 28, 2012 11:19 PM

My only critique is that they shouldn't have cut off her face - she is totally beautiful. An Asley Judd look-alike if you ask me. The vascularity is over-emphasized in the picture, maybe by the lighting or perhaps she intentionally dehydrated for a photo shoot. Such discipline - and the tats rock, too. Go Christmas!

Comment #39 - Posted by: Clegger13 at September 29, 2012 12:11 AM

Let me start out by saying thank you to EM, Tony and Cliff for their patience and hard work. It was an absolute pleasure to work with them over the 2 day period. I also wanted to say thanks to Christmas, what a beautiful woman.

Comment #40 - Posted by: Jeff Gonzales at September 29, 2012 4:08 AM

Reading over some of the comments I can see how it is difficult to interpret a single image without the big picture. Johny, the image is more towards the end of the drill after starting out in front of the threat, drawing and firing several rounds from close contact then stepping back as they continued to engage the threat with several more rounds. While I'm sure it it possible to reach for their firearms, they would have sustained incredible damage and highly unlikely.

Comment #41 - Posted by: Jeff Gonzales at September 29, 2012 4:17 AM

I just don't know if such low levels of bodyfat are conducive to high levels of athletic performance. I see sprinters with low levels, but damn not as low as that. I've met plenty of guys and girls with abs showing like this (in the army) and when times got tough, they were the first to quit. Also on the rugby field, the bodybuilding type of guys were always dominated and quit early. Not saying that applies to Christmas, but personally I find I perform better with more bodyfat on me.

Comment #42 - Posted by: Andrew at September 29, 2012 4:26 AM

criticizing a persons body even if you dislike it, is lame. Christmas doesn't need to see all these negative comments. She's a real person with feelingd not just a photo. Last time I checked we all considered ourselves family in this community.

Comment #43 - Posted by: cindy at September 29, 2012 4:56 AM

Man, the jealously is palpable. Instead of trolling people should spend more time getting fitter and dialing in their nutrition.

You have a choice, to do what you want to do, be who you want to be, and look that way you want to look. If she loves the way she looks, I love it as well....

Comment #49 - Posted by: Abraham M. at September 29, 2012 8:10 AM

Yeah... Dedication, focus, and product of achievement are sooo unattractive in a woman. I bet she's one of the first people cheering you on after she's smashed you in a WOD too.

Comment #50 - Posted by: Kyhulk at September 29, 2012 8:17 AM

I believe one can, and should, appreciate the process even if the end result is not one's favorite. Contemporary art is not my fave but I still admire the artist for his/her talent and ability...

Thank you so much for sharing the results of dedication and hard work in such a thought provocative manner.

Truly an inspiration!

Comment #51 - Posted by: jennica at September 29, 2012 8:20 AM

The author should consider joining the military to test her fitness along with her new interest in combat and weapons. This article is the beginnings of a serious gun problem, addiction to shooting. I love guns myself, and get myself down to the range few times a year.

Comment #52 - Posted by: NICK at September 29, 2012 9:15 AM

Got Crossfit?

Comment #54 - Posted by: SAMMY at September 29, 2012 10:01 AM

#10 It's pretty clear from the picture that he's doing a walk and shoot. Which would mean he started from the draw and extended the pistol into the shooting position while he was further away from the target. It wouldn't be a good idea to bring it down to an inferior firing position just because a he walked, he got closer to the target.

Comment #55 - Posted by: Dax at September 29, 2012 10:03 AM

Nobody, And I mean nobody can be as ripped as X-mas without extreme dedication and focus... goes to demonstrate what can be accomplished with determination and drive.

A true inspiration...

Haters should just go home!

Simply amazing...

Now this is the way God intended the body... Without the fat from over-indulgence. That's hard training & good nutrition - good job Christmas.
Low fat athletes not being able to sustain? Go up against Christmas in a WOD. She's an incredible athlete

Comment #57 - Posted by: VH at September 29, 2012 10:34 AM

The women is a Goddess. Love the pic.

About the comments about "too lean". She's probably around 10% bodyfat. Exactly WHY does someone need more bodyfat than that? Unless you plan to go an entire winter without eating it's not necessary. I never felt or performed better than when my bodyfat was below 10%, admittedly many years ago. Unless you can explain why bodyfat helps you "perform" better I think you're just expressing your disinclination to get lean.

NICK, where do I sign up?

Comment #59 - Posted by: martha at September 29, 2012 11:10 AM

to Martha, for military training, look up your google for your local regiment and if you meet their requirments, and as far as shooting in the range is concerned talk to your local gun shop, and ask for membership discounts to the range.
I think best tactical training is offered in the military ( and get paid for it), but for civilians it might become a bit of a cost.

Comment #60 - Posted by: NICK at September 29, 2012 1:15 PM

Have to stay away from overhead lifting for a bit so I did:
800 meter run
100 walking lunges
600 meter run
60 walking lunges
400 meter run
40 walking lunges
Felt awesome ... Shaky legs!

Comment #63 - Posted by: MrFrench at September 29, 2012 4:33 PM

AKAndyG @31,

I think it's simply a function of the size of the tent. In 2006 there were fewer of us here, and most of the folks (90%) posting were one degree of separation from each other and anyone in a picture. For example, the pic you reference is of Shari K; almost everyone posting that day was no more than one degree of separation from Shari (absolutely lovely, wonderful woman in all respects).

Today? You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn't work for CF who is more "connected" than I, and yet I have yet to meet Christmas. Many of the posters are newish, with little CF mileage under their belts. Bigger tent, newer folks.

Neither better nor worse, just newer. I'm still having fun, just a different kind. You?

Comment #64 - Posted by: bingo at September 29, 2012 4:33 PM

A hello to Bingo.

Hope all is well. I'm still having fun and think the company puts out a good product. Though, if the company were to die tomorrow, there would still be people all over the world doing constantly varIed functional movements over....the company has taught a sort of fitness literacy, and once people learn to read, well, they can read. It makes me think of the 'Great Books of Western Civilization' series that was released at a reasonably affordable price after WWII and designed to provide small 'l' liberal educations for interested people who would likely never go to college - if a person worked through these books (or even a significant portion of them) they'd have a strong general western civ base and be well situated to take further studies. The company's work in the area of fitness and it's open source concept has some similarities. Once you've learned to couple deadlfts with double unders, and snatch for time, even if you've learned nothing more, you're better off than back/bis/chest/tris.

Comment #3. Not a single hater?

Is there a monster under your bed?

Why not a combat knife (beside the obvious answer that the woman in the photo chose to pose with a handgun)? Why not the same type of shot with a knife in her hand? What is it about the hand gun (or the likely viewing publics) that makes the hand gun an obvious choice?

Comment #65 - Posted by: Prolix at September 29, 2012 6:44 PM

There's no way that's 10% bodyfat mate. She's single digits for sure. And it's not my disinclination to get lean, my focus is strength and playing on a rugby field, so hard contact is my interest as well. In my eperience getting more muscular is a lot harder than getting lean. And I'm not too shabby on the WOD's so I'll take her on anyday! I'll take you on too mate, name your WOD! Let's do it!

Name your wod? Well, my metcons suck because I'm old and about 5 months out from a PVI to correct afib. But I can to ten reps dead hang weighted pull-ups with 28 lbs. How are you with max rep weighted pull-ups with, say, 20% of BW?
