Did the lunges with 95lb bar in front rack position from about a week or two ago today. Those are awesome. Also been enjoying ring push ups lately - coach - if you're listening - how about working some ring push ups into the WODS. they seem awful good.
So could you do the 100 pullups an then do some sit-ups or some form of ab work afterwards? If you can't do the L?
100 deadhang L Pull-ups? i like the sound of this WOD.
I know I'm getting ready to get killed here but can anyone weigh in on how the L pull up is measurable or repeatable the standards seem very iffy...sorry just asking please be reasonable in response

Used a kip to get the legs up on the first rep of each set.
Started with 7 (broken) reps per minute for the first 5 minutes. In the end I did doubles every 25 seconds. Never go to muscular failure.
Practiced headstand to handstand kips afterwards.
Knees to Chest 18:40.
First 10 were L raised but still burning from "Adrian" two days ago so I scaled.

wow- this was hard and I even cheated ! I stood on a 12 " box and basically did these in sets of 5 before releasing my grip and shaking out, came back and put my toes on the box after each rep and kipped up to an L and did the pullup alternated 5 reps with underhand grip 5 reps with overhand grip and finished in an embarrassing 27:40. My grip was giving me fits near the end and even 5 rep sets were difficult to do with form remotly approaching a correct L orientation.

I can't say me legs were straight or toes pointed, but I did loosely resemble an L. Even that took all my focus.
For my rest day yesterday I did my first 14er... Mount Humboldt in Colorado. Loved it... As for today's WOD fun one 18:57.

I forced myself to finish this. 13:43 RX'd One issue I know is that I could not go full ROM and I had issues keep my legs straight.
Still loved it, I have determined I will finish all WOD's RX'd (if possible - weight right now)

Warm up was 2 mile treadmill run with 1 incline, increasing mph by .1 every minute.
Umm...I normally do assisted pull-ups.

It was tough at a commercial gym to get the pull up bar for that long. After a little I had a bit of a crowd wondering what was going on.

I used underhand grip as my recently separated shoulder cannot take that internal rotation associated with the bottom of the pullup using overhand grip.

I did this last night, a little rainy, on a totally dark jungle gym metal monkey bars.
The rainy part kind of effected my grip, but it wasn't too bad.
I conciously broke them up into smaller sets to allow my rest/ break between working to be very little time. Less rest more work time is the key for me. If I go to failure, to get those extra couple reps will mean resting too much and then not being able to really push the whole time.
I rested for about 1 minute or so maybe 2 then did a D.U. ladder going from 5050 (5,10,15,20,..50) in 5:10
I need to slightly lengthen my jumprope I think.. I was o.k. if the sets were broken since it ws just a burner really. I normally can do lots of DUs unbroken but that number has gone down lately. I'm going to have to start back on working the DUs Post WOD I think.
