Ouch. The bar is raised. Rx'd is no longer for the average crossfiter. My Hats of to Ship! RIP.
After last everyones motivational words on the last workout. I am ready to destroy this one.
Canadian Hero,I'll pay my tribute as prescribe tomorrow morning. If you don, stand behind our troops feel free to stand in front of them!
Always ready for an extra effort workout for a fellow Canuck. RIP soldier
Tomorrow was supposed to be a rest day, but can't pass this one up. I'll have to scale the box jumps since I only have a 24". RIP Soldier!
Ship and the rest of the Pats are Canada's best.
WOD demo well done, nice not to see the shirts on for once, not overdoing it with the shirts off...
i cant wait to do this one tomorrow!!! Gotta scale the weight some but itll still kick my ass. Always a pleasure for a fallen soldier. Rip ship!
#5, just stack some bumper plates on your box until it's 36".
This is going to be absolutely miserable.
Mmm....it's going to be 20# squat cleans and about 8" box jumps...but that's better than nothing, right?
Let's do this. Thanks for your sacrifice, Sergeant.
What is a squat clean? I am in afghanistana aand cant watch the video for the WOD. I know a squat and i know a clean, but not sur what a squat clean is. Thanks.
Ben
@14, "squat clean" refers to your traditional, Olympic style clean, where the bar is caught in the bottom squat position.
What is the weight for women?
#12 Hey Brynn, scale as is required for you.
RIP Seargeant.
Looking forward to destroying this tomorrow!
going on my second week of crossfit and LOVING it. cant wait to do this, need to build a box though now. RIP Sergeant Shipway. thank you for your service.
RIP, brother.
Remember everyone, scale/modify if you need to. This one is no joke.
Could we please do a proper push up when we do Burpees?
RIP Seargeant.
How long should the breaks be between the rounds?
Oh man this one humbled me for sure cant wait to join a crossfit gym when im done with the military. Thank you for your sacrifice Sarge!

SC's 155 for 1-7 and 135 for 8-9
24" box only and no fancy bumper plates to stack. Regular Olympic metal plates in the Stan.
This one was extremely difficult. Can't wait to get to a gym that I can just drop the wait and not control it to the ground with every rep. I feel like it is sucking up some of my extra energy and limiting my weight used in WOD's like this one.
#23 do all 9 rds for time, no breaks.

I knew the squat cleans were going to take a while, but the box jumps went slower than expected. I fell down once on the jumps and missed about three cleans at various times.

@Jinsin311 - if you still have some gym time, do some active recovery. I'd do maybe a very light jog, jump rope or row (if rower is available)...or bike.
Also, you could work on mobility. Mobilitywod.com is scripture for me now.

Scaled to "Porch" as closely as possible. 135# Squat Cleans & 32" Burpee Box Jumps.
Time: 42:00
9 rounds of anything usually takes a while...
Notes:
1) Only up to 24" ht. objects onto which to jump in gym. No bumper plates to stack - only iron & rubber coated - not safe.
2) 32" ht. retaining wall 50 yards (one way) from the gym door, so my "rest" periods were spent running to and from the gym to the wall.
3) RIP Ship - I served along side a Canadian ETT (Embedded Training Team) operating out of Camp Blackhorse, AFG in 2005; good group of guys - and they had a few fun toys too.

Scaled to 135# Squat Cleans; 24" Box Jump Burpees

25:01. Scaled squat cleans to 2 rounds 95#, 3 rounds 105, 4 rounds 115, controlling the weights on the way down each set. I can't fit my tree stump in my barn gym, so I did 8 burpees then went to the box for 8 box jumps. It eases the workout, but its what I have. A good, tough workout, and a good remembrance to Ship.

Squat cleans 95lbs ,jump over burpees with recycling can with 45lb plate. A classic example of laying down immediately after the work outs finished. You 185,135.115 c/fitters are badass!
28.45 scaled to 185# P cleans, 30" box
Did the actual prescribed weight of 185lb squat clean, and 36 burpee boxjump. 39.28min. Even though all hero wods are extreme, this one was one of the hardest. I am 6'3 235lbs, I am pretty strong and this one tested me mentally.
RIP Ship

CFWU-2. Reg. Superman. Row 500m.
40:59. 32" box.
Slow & steady.
Tech on cleans seemed decent. Felt like jump was good. Landing & driving through heels. Try to land narrower. Good rack position on landing. Could prob go quite a bit faster on cleans. Only did 32" box & moved it outside. Wasn't comfortable with more height to begin with 32 didn't seem too bad once I got used to it.

135 squat cleans, 32" box and only 5 rounds
