I actually did Isabel today. It was the first time I was able to do it Rx. Thought I would have to decrease the weight at some point, but was able to keep it at 135#. Did one rep every 30 seconds. 14:35 is nothing to brag about, but it felt good to get in a rhythm.

@Jef R, Thanks, have had no access to games or Crossfit for the last three weeks. Just catching up. I was pulling for Spealler as i do every year.

Before this year's games I theorized that no one would win back to back titles based on the diverse rounds. But my theory went out the window by having both champions win again! See how much I know!
Just an observation, but did anyone else notice the extreme over use of kineso tape at the Games this year? It was a little out of hand.
Was that our boy Gary Roberts judging the ring dips? Sure looked like him.

Too much tape overall Lincoln. Some of those "athletes" looked ridiculous. Now there are people at my gym turning up wearing it not even knowing what it is for. A bunch of posers if you ask me.

Started at 135 for 9 reps and had to lower to 115 for the other 21 reps.
This is the 2nd time I've done snatches. 1st was a month ago when WOD was Amanda.10kg last time 15kg this time. Don't wanna use much weight till I get used to the movement & improve my form. Would've taken a lot longer with heavier weight.

Before her CrossFit Kids workout, I showed my 8 year old daughter the Annie video, and later I heard her telling her Mom, 'I want to be Annie Thorisdottir.'
The video that really moved me was one of the Rogue commercials during the Games, in which Rich Froning is blowing up stuff with his rifle. 'Yeah,' I decided. 'I want to be Rich Froning.'

I did a different WOD last night:
20 minutes of:
odd minutes: 3 reps of Jerk (started with 145 lbs & ended with 155 lbs)
even minutes: 3 reps of DL (started with 245 lbs & ended with 255 lbs)
my lower back was pretty tight, but was really focusing on speed and keeping the weight on the posterior and the hamstrings mostly. My back was a bit tight from the cleans yesterday I guess. I also did a bunch of squat cleans after that night's clean WOD.
This felt better as the WOD went on.
I warmed up with:
75 lbs press/PP/PJ
95 lbs DL super slow and low
95 lbs PP/ PJ/ Split Jerk
135 lbs DL slow and in super control and then at the end a few fast ones to get the body going
115 lbs PJ/ split jerk to get used to the split footwork
185 lbs DL with a bit of speed concentrating on the weight on the posterior & hamstrings
135 lbs PJ/ split jerk

Been working on my snatch form since I started crossfit about a month ago. The weight wasn't too heavy for me but wanted to make sure I used correct form. Finally felt comfortable with it. And even bumped up the weight after I was finished and had a few mins to recover - 85# 5 reps, but 3 of them I ended up w/a bit of a shoulder press instead of a full snatch. The last one I made count though. Next, overhead squats.

LT C did a "Barbara" no time provided, healing from a bad decision while
ruck marching. Next time, smaller bites of the apple.
LTC and CDR started late, about 1200 but got it going.
Both hit the 15/16 mark at approx the same time, 2:55.
The LTC keep going strong will less rest cycles than the CDR and finished at
4:40.
The CDR came has 2nd half split at 3.37 for a 6.33. Well under the previous
mark of 8.40 (which we sqt cleans).
Therefore the LTC did a negative split in the back half, way to go.
That has to go down as another great LTC day, two in row.
Way to go.
