Wish I was a fly on that wall...for the haters who are about to comment on how they think this pic is inappropriate and will threaten to stop crossfit, just walk away, no one normal cares so save your virtual ink. Thanks HQ for everything
nice safe driving from Sevan....in the snow, shooting a movie, on the phone with his dog intefering.
that's a WOD right there
yesterday was nat'l no bra day, for those wondering if this was appropriate. look it up.
This is the the best picture I have ever seen on any CROSSFIT site. Thank you girls for taking this photo. Oh ya and your 4 look awesome. You can tell that crossfit is the best workout program out there. Thx
the only better pic would be from the front...
Even the dog had a sweater on!
I want whatever diet plan those ladies are on!
Great job, Courtney! You are fantastic. I hope we see you down at the cross fit games.
Marty
haha love a video with froning and bailey. guys are nuts
It's about time. Haven't had a good picture like this for too long! These ladies look amazing!
Love love this pic!!!! I'm gonna have my boyfriend take a pic of me like this!!!
nice ink to the lady on the left. and a shout out to all you inked xfit ladies!
Diet plan? It's called working out and eating right. Not rocket science. The word "diet" implies a temporary state. Being healthy is a change that should last forever.
Beautiful photo. You guys should be proud of the hard work you have done.
Hey Courtney,
Thanks for sharing your story. I trust more Biggest losers wannabes will see your journey and realize CrossFit aids in establishing a lifestyle and community. You go girl and keep up the good work. Maybe our paths will cross at the Games.
Love this picture. They look amazing.
Love the picture! Definition is admirable! Have to give a special "looking good" to the tats on the left! All 4 girls look amazing!!! Good for y'all!!!!
Sucks tomorrow is a rest day but it is needed. Bitter Sweet. What do you guys do on rest days?
No calorie counting, these girls are Paleo and they eat enough to support their training and set new PRs on an ongoing basis.
Gar, I'm going to guess you're referring to the lines on the sides of their backs that look like ribs. In reality those are what are called striations. You get that from being at an optimal body fat percentage with very strong muscles. Saying they are "starving women" shows your ignorance towards an elite athlete. Good job girls, keep up the good work.
Rest day...pic of day...Froning & Bailey...it's all good!
I love videos like this....what a cool side to see of rich and dan! thanks....more please
@chris "the word diet implies a temporary state"??? Your diet is what you eat. You can have a paleo diet or a McDonald's diet. Every person that eats food has a diet of whatever it is they eat, nothing temporary about that in any way.

GREAT PIC :)
my new desktop wallpaper
I think their arms are even touching a little...
Ran my troops through a little CF WOD this morning...I had to improvise because of lack of eqpt, so this is what I did: I called it "Fight Gone Worse":
3 x 5min Rds of:
PP (35#).
Burpees.
SU.
Air Squats.
KB Swings (35#).
1min rest.
We didn't keep score but I assure you that everyone got a good sweat and a good workout!..
Wow, great picture. Thanks CF team.
I wonder what their abs look like :) Awesome picture!
Great Pic and videos! Thanks Crossfit.
#22 - The word "diet" does imply a temporary state. When people ask "What diet are you on" it usually solicites a response such as "low carb" or "the atkins", or "the south beach" or what have you. A lot of people go on a diet for a short time only, and do not make the permenant change needed to eat RIGHT and healthy forever.
Yes the word "diet" is also what one eats, but I did not take the question like that.
MOD
4 rounds of:
400 meters
20 sit ups
20 KB swings (1.5)
20 DUs
20 Push Ups
21:40
M/51/190 lbs
Beautiful...
Ever wonder what our facination is with ta-tas? I love'em just as much as the next person, but why are they so taboo?
Completed my first bar muscle-up. Thank you Crossfit for making the impossible possible.
I'm certain it was a mental barrier stopping me. After completing one I then managed to put three together in a row.
Any thoughts or comments on Crossfit psychology?

One more thing if you do get a journal subscription get in the archives and the training guide and really master the basic movements and practice coaching other soldiers in the basics till you master coaching those movements. The Equiment section is really helpful for when youre getting on your feet with equipment.
@32 - They're not taboo in Europe and just as amazing :)
Regarding the diet discussion #7, #13, #19, #22 and #31. I realize it is semantics but I agree with Chris and use the word "diet" as a temporary state in my lectures on nutrition.
I tell my students that things like not taking sugar in your coffee, eating paleo or zone are things you can do for the rest of your life. I use the term "diet" to refer to eating habits that you embark on temporarily and cannot do for the rest of your life (unless you want to shorten you it). Agreed, the word diet can be used both ways but I find it saves confusion in my course. You eat paleo, you do not go on a paleo diet.
CrossFit Journal, thank you so much for the amazing video, it is so fun to see it! I appreciate everyone's uplifting comments and welcoming me as a part of the CrossFit family. I owe CrossFit a lot and will forever be grateful for the CrossFit community for helping change my life!
Lovin the pic. If the names match up left to right, Susan needs to keep an eye on that mole central bottom thorax...or we could do it for her with regular, say monthly, mainsite pix! Just tryin to help out;)
Day 72
M/45/6'0"/195
Knowing I'd have to take a rest day later in the week, I made up the WOD from 120708 - Sunday: 8 rds for time of:
Run 400 Meters
Rest 90 Sec.
Splits:
1) 1:43 2) 1:35
3) 1:27 4) 1:19
5) 1:17 6) 1:02
7) :59 8) :57
Total of splits: 10:18
Total time incl. rest: 20:48
Then just for fun did a 1 x 800 M @ 1:59
Nice break after the heavy-duty stuff past couple of days.
I have to agree with #22 mike. When #7 asked about these ladies diet she very well may have meant how they eat everyday and for life, not what ever fad they are following at the moment the way most people say "on a diet". The definition doesnt change just because a lot of people use it wrong.
These kind of pictures are worthless and unnecessary. How does (Force x Distance)/Time have anything to do with how you look. It might be a result of, or bi-product of, your training, but it's not what CrossFit is about.
I don't mean any disrespect to the ladies in this picture and from pictures in the past. You look great. Congratulations on how you look from the hard work that you put in at the gym. I'm more so disappointed in CrossFit HQ for posting this picture and pictures like this when they get plenty of other picture submissions a day.
There are so many other pictures that I brag to people about that get posted. These kind of pictures I don't want to show to anybody.
For what it's worth, that's my take on it.
Yes KevinB I was assuming since Hannah was on a crossfit website that she was not ignorant about working out and eating right. She could be super healthy but interested in what they eat on a day to day basis. Not everyone is perfect and eats everything in perfect combination every day. I thought it was poor to assume you know more than someone based on a comment that is correct, then try and make them feel stupid by saying its not rocket science.

That's what makes the world go 'round. Not everyone likes the same things. This pic I liked very much. Not only because I love the female body (God's masterpiece imho) but because I find it very inspirational.
Thanks HQ! And great work to the four impressive athletes from Ottawa!
Charlie
Always tease us with "fit girls are hot look these are wearing no shirt!" but never give us the real thing :)
Crossfit: rest
Swimming: 1600 yards
Diet is defined as the kinds of food that a person, animal, or community habitually eats. No mention of the word temporary. You are just being manipulated by media, the meaning of the word itself hasn't changed.
Regarding the pic.....eh
It's confusing that HQ chose a pic showing off bodies when they stress functionality and shun the bodybuilding types and 'bicep curls' just to look good. What kind of message are you sending when you post a pic like this? Look how good our athletes bodies are? You're doing the same thing that bodybuilders do, just in a different way. Disappointing....
NO MORE NAKED WOMEN! Just kidding keep them coming. Love it.
I've twice had pieces deleted when I've commented on how bad the Biggest Loser's rowing technique is.
was I out of line?
was I wrong?
Good on you, Courtney!
And good on your trainer, too!
You both ROCK!
Keep it up!

The video was made to be an inspiration to motivate people who may not think they are in shape enough for CrossFit. It should be used to demonstrate the beauty and acceptance of the CrossFit community, and to encourage people.
I don't think that it is meant to be a rowing how to video. We can look at any workout demo video posted on here with some of the best athletes and get into form questions and most efficient movement pattern debates. Maybe we could cut the new people some slack and just support the fact that they are in our gyms and further building our community.
I don't know that the issue was that mentioning the rowing form was out of line but maybe just off topic and necessary. Perhaps post exactly how she should fix it and help her with constructive criticism instead of just criticism.
globo gyms have mirrors. just saying.
I love all 4 of you very much! :)
Outstanding...gotta love women who do CrossFit. A nice side benefit of all the hard work and effort. You look great ladies.
@ #46 Andrew, the same thing but different. The difference is important however.
In Crossfit, a fit healthy looking body is the byproduct, not the goal. By doing Crossfit and eating paleo you become healthy and fit and consequently look it.
Unlike some other fitness activities where the goal is to look good, sometimes at the expense of your health and fitness.
The ONE time I wish Crossfit boxes had mirrors like the globo gyms.
Andy(#34) congrats, thats a great day for everyone.
i'm as much for half clothed pix as the next kat. but how about we keep the shirts and lose the pants on the next one?
still sweet pic. well composed.
One of the sexiest pics I've seen.
