Anyone have any thoughts on this article (link below) that shows a link between excessive exercise and heart problems. I doubt crossfit matches the criteria as the article points specifically to exercise in excess of 60 mins. Hopefully the short intervals of Xfit don't pose the same risk.

What are the weights for women for Crossfit for Hope? I feel like I've looked everywhere and I can't find them.

Comment #38 - Posted by: Robin at June 5, 2012 7:55 AM

Just an interesting article on the United States universities and colleges cutting sports, especially Men's Gymnastics cut by 73%.

I am proud of Crossfit and I hope it continues to highlight the importance of fitness, discipline and the importance of sport and physical fitness. That it shows you that there doesn't have to be limits, whether by age, location, financial or sex.

Day 36
M/45/6'0"/195
Performed "Nancy" on 120603 since I had back-to-back "rest days" this weekend. Only the 2nd time I've ever done overhead squats, so I scaled weight to 65 lbs. (I think I can bump that up a bit next time).

Time: 17:04

Comment #44 - Posted by: fargingbastige at June 5, 2012 10:53 AM
