@ comment 4... If you have access to a pool, try swimming. Do 50 yards every 2:00 for a total of 500 yards.

Hi, I have a question on thrusters, as I have been getting some wrist pain from them.
In the front squat portion of them, I get my elbows up in the rack position. Then in the transition from the squat to the press, it seems to put a lot of pressure on my wrists.
Is there something I may be forgetting in terms of form or is this just part of the game for thrusters? I have tried moving my hand position narrower or wider without much help. Thanks

Do you feel pain in both of your wrists, or just one?

After a month of SealFit, I had the same problem, but it was limited to my right side, which was probably related to an injury I foolishly ignored. The pain eventually went away, but a lot of potential for progression was lost.

If you feel pain in both wrists, it could be a wrist strength and flexibility issue; I was able to solve it during my early Crossfit days by practicing handstand movements.

Gunther,

Try looking at Kelly Starrett's videos on YouTube on wrist flexibility. I had the same problem. If wrist wraps don't take care of it, then it's more than likely a lack of flexibility issue. Kelly is a genius when it comes to stuff like that.

I didn't take a rest day today because I know I'll have one tomorrow, so I went back and picked up last Saturday's WOD - 120526: 7 rds x 3 reps each of Cleans:
1. 135
2. 155
3. 170
4. 185
5. 190 - failed rep 3
6. 185
7. 185
I started to go back and attempt 190 again on round 7, but decided to get my rx'd reps and stick with 185.

11 years and 7 months ago, my daughter spent 49 days in the Natal Intensive Care Unit as a preemie (born at 26 weeks). We were blessed and she was fine at that time and is a great little girl now. God bless all ICU's and the nurses that took care of her through her 2 lb 12 oz weight and 3 transfusions. She was on the ventilator for only 11 hours.
