Ill be using friday to get my CFT. I used thursday as my rest day.
PLease Help!! We have an athlete competing in the games and didn't think there was any way the Home Depot Center would sell out. We need two three day passes, but we will take what we can get. Please email email@example.com. We will be Extremely Grateful for any help you can provide. Thank you so much!!
@ comment 4... If you have access to a pool, try swimming. Do 50 yards every 2:00 for a total of 500 yards.
Hi, I have a question on thrusters, as I have been getting some wrist pain from them.
In the front squat portion of them, I get my elbows up in the rack position. Then in the transition from the squat to the press, it seems to put a lot of pressure on my wrists.
Is there something I may be forgetting in terms of form or is this just part of the game for thrusters? I have tried moving my hand position narrower or wider without much help. Thanks
Do you feel pain in both of your wrists, or just one?
After a month of SealFit, I had the same problem, but it was limited to my right side, which was probably related to an injury I foolishly ignored. The pain eventually went away, but a lot of potential for progression was lost.
If you feel pain in both wrists, it could be a wrist strength and flexibility issue; I was able to solve it during my early Crossfit days by practicing handstand movements.
my glutes need this rest day yikes!
Try looking at Kelly Starrett's videos on YouTube on wrist flexibility. I had the same problem. If wrist wraps don't take care of it, then it's more than likely a lack of flexibility issue. Kelly is a genius when it comes to stuff like that.
No rest for the wicked
Overhead lunges 45# (x17)
I didn't take a rest day today because I know I'll have one tomorrow, so I went back and picked up last Saturday's WOD - 120526: 7 rds x 3 reps each of Cleans:
5. 190 - failed rep 3
I started to go back and attempt 190 again on round 7, but decided to get my rx'd reps and stick with 185.
BTW, last post by fargingbastige, specs:
Day 32 on CF
5 rounds for time of:
200 meter run
100 foot lunge

First time under 10:00. Will go up in weight next time.

11 years and 7 months ago, my daughter spent 49 days in the Natal Intensive Care Unit as a preemie (born at 26 weeks). We were blessed and she was fine at that time and is a great little girl now. God bless all ICU's and the nurses that took care of her through her 2 lb 12 oz weight and 3 transfusions. She was on the ventilator for only 11 hours.
65# down overall on the total... I'm ok with it, just so happy when I can squeeze in my WOD each day... Sept will be 5 years of CF for my kids & I & I'm so thkful!
