Ahh, yes! I love Gary Roberts and I love his story. He represents so many people. This is going to be great...keep it up Gary!
Pallazzo di Signoria!
Love the whole story.
I really like this story. Very applicable to so many of us.
Looking forward to the remainder of "Killing the Fat Man".
Keep it up, Gary. 7 months ago I was 30# overweight, and now I'm in the best shape of my life thanks to Train to Hunt, Dan Staton and Kenton Clairmont the online crossfit coaches. Go 100% Paleo and listen to your coaches and you'll never want to look back. You'll be in better shape than when you were a Marine.
Love it! Great Story well told. Ready for the next chapter.
Run 800 meters
7 rounds of the couplet:
Pull-up, 10 reps
Dip, 10 reps
Run 800 meters
Pull ups killed me…
gary is awesome. Great attitude and humor.
Truly inspirational! As a member of the Armed Forces and just starting out with cross fit, I hope this guy meets his goal... Keep it up!!!
Gary, I admire your courage! Not just to do it, but to do it in such a public way. And what's the back story between Gary and Sevan?
Quite a story! Can't wait for part 2...
I need the quotes where are the motivational quotes
Very entertaining personality and looks to be an inspiring story for all of us! I laughed multiple times with the humor. Keep it up Gary! And I second #7 Fred - you will be in better shape than you were as a Marine when you make fitness a lifestyle, a habit!
Awesome! I just enjoy watching people take responsibility and change their lives for the better.
Gary is truley an inspiration...
I am one of the priviledged members of Oceanside Crossfit that has gotten to spend time with Gary and witness his transformation.... This is a MUST watch series!!! Gary ROCKS!!
To EVERYONE out there with an obstacle, be it big or small... there's always room for change and commitment, just ask Gary!

Great! Encouraging! I'm looking forward rot the next episode....
Go Gary! I can't wait to see how this turns out.
Great video. Thanks to all.
Best quote from the video: "Bitches I can't wait to show you." right at the end. Can't wait to watch the rest.
Well done Gary. The first step is the hardest. Keep it up sir!
Also, great job to the film crew that put the video together - great job! I'm looking forward to the continuation (never the conclusion)!!!
Who needs Biggest Loser when you have Killing The Fat Man?! Gary I'm your biggest fan. Keep going my friend!
no rest day for me.
did a 20 min amrap triplet: rowing/pushpress/toes to bar
a ladder 1 to 10 rep: benchpress/jumpbox/kettlebell swing/pull ups
and a 3km running in 12 mins
Great video btw
Rock and roll Gary! The fat man is dead!
I liked his observation about wondering if everyone at the CrossFit box is going to be a "beast" . . . I am excited to see a "regular" guy make the journey from where he is to becoming one of those "beasts" . . . Go Gary! Can't wait for the next episode.
I love this gary is an inspiration to all those people who think they cant get fit and healthier and live longer i too was 275lbs up until 2009 and i too had to go through what gary is going thru i had type diabetes and high blood pressure i no longer take meds for those anymore as i have reversed my diabetes and high blood pressure and instead of not living by thr age of 60 i can now live into my 90's my doctor told me for i too have done what gary is doing and that is living better and not letting food control me i am now 150lbs and 3% body fat you keep on trucking gary some how i feel we did this together.
Stay the course Gary you cant go back now. Awesome idea Sevan.
Awesome story! Hope you guys continue the series with Gary. Inspirational.

Love the video and look forward to the others. You deserve success and it takes a lot of heart to be that honest on camera. Cheering for you mate.
Awesome job Gary! That right there is what it's all about :)
Awesome!!! Your an inspiration to us all. I can't wait till part 2.
You weigh 153?
How tall are you if I may ask?
go gary,go! Change takes desire and work ethic, and you have both
This is a long time coming. I love the super in shape people, they are so inspiring, but most are genetically gifted beyond the majority of us normal folk. This kind of story is what I see at CF everyday at my gym. Normal people, taking extraordinary care of the body that God has given them. Gary represents that person. He looks like he has a good job and cute wife and kids. Hell, just to have that at his age is quite a feat in itself. So it is equally, if not more so, inspiring to see him tackle this new endeavor!! Go Gary!
When will they be showing more?
I too am extremely out of shape and over weight. I started crossfit and eating Paleo two weeks ago. I haven't lost any weight yet, but feel fantastic. Your video was very inspirational to all of us fatty's out there that want to kill our fat guy and start living again. I have a bit more to lose than you do, but can't wait to see your progress. Keep it up and can't wait to see you again. Go Gary Go!!!!
Thanks for relighting my fire! Incredibly inspirational start! We are destined to be that which we will ourselves to be. Thanks for pushing me a little harder.
I have been waiting a very long time for CrossFit to do a series like this. Thanks for finally taking care of business. This is what we need to be doing more of. Forging Elite fitness for EVERYONE! I will keep following. Bring on Episode Two
Piked HSPU and Pistols down to a Plyo Box
I admit, I cried just now. Can you tell me when we will be able to see more? Thanks a bunch for doing this.
Thanks for this. I started Crossfit in Dec, I weighed 355 lbs. I am still over 300 but working toward it. Your videos fuel me even more. One fat dude to another, thank you!
Such a great story, stick with it, be an inspiration to the masses. I cannot wait to hear the next chapter.
Like everyone else said, this is an awesome story. But, the best part is the start up. It's great to see the first workout footage and see someone else go through the nervousness of the first session. It's even better to hear the people applauding the effort at the end. Great story and great heart - Corazon!
Hi, I am Tmy from Florence!!!!! good photo!!! ;)
