Phew...another Rest Day. You know the drill. Do it. Take the day off. If you are truly new to CrossFit do take the day and just chill, or stretch your brain muscle by reading and commenting on the link. Nothing but rest, or "active rest" (a little yoga, perhaps).
Here's a little homework. What are your goals? What is it you wish to accomplish physically?

I finally decide to start crossfit and the day I pick java rest day, what are the odds? 1/7. Oh well I will just do my normal workout instead. Wish me luck with this.
Rest days are tough. I'm so excite for the next work out that it's almost a bummer when these hit. Plus I traveled a lot this weekend and missed almost the entire three day circuit. Did like 50% of the tabata one but that's about it. Didn't run the 5k. Eash I'm slacking. At least I did a little bit and wanted to work out on the tabata day. The dang hotel rooms doors where too wide for my perfect pull up. Anyways I'm reading the slight edge now and as long as I'm improving .003 percent I'm moving forward! I'm getting better at kipping but I'm using a slight jump off the floor to finish more pull ups. One day I'll do them without the help. Thanks for all the cool videos! Oh Monday's work out 7:31 with a bit of motivation on the toes to bars. July grip sucks and I almost kicked someone in the mouth at my gym lol whoops! Peace cf fam!
Oh I am down to co-sign on a rest.
I absolutly love the poem choice. Hit a little to close to home but ya know words are usually the most honest.

Can somebody explain to me what METCON means?
So what would be a good example of MetCon workout? Is that just running or a very cardio influenced wod?
I hope I don't offend anyone, but the corssfit apparel is outrageously over priced. A t-shirt for $30!! Just to sweat my ass off in....lol. $119 dollars for a pair of shoes. I see where this is starting to go, more over inflation just to buy a t-shirt with a name on it. Ill wear my old shirts with wholes and my $39.99 shoes and kill WODS. I love crossfit, just not corporations waiting to profit.
My new year's resolution to do CF for a month is still in effect. When I first learned of the three day split I was worried that it would be too much time off. After four splits, I am still just as thankful for that day off as I was the first day.
Why Crossfit? Easy, my fiancee! Im getting married in July and I figured what better way to get lean and in shape than crossfit?
My goal by july is to get down to 225lbs
I also want to be able to do 5 handstand push ups (currently cant even do 1)
3 weeks into crossfit is too early to come up with other specific goals because I am just so far from where I need to be. Maybe next month Ill have some :)
