Been working hard on mastering the double under so this one should be a lot of fun! :)
That would be an incredible experience to work out with that many people at once. hmm is Reebok hiring an entry level IT person? I wish.
that picture rocks! right on, reebok!
Kristan Clever score 444lbs so 3 X 148 lbs Snatch! Nice workout to go that heavy in a fatigued state:P
Agree I want a job with people like that...so awesome!!!!
Really? Kristan Clever only did 444# in 7 snatches. Must've missed a few, I'm guessing....
There's been a lot of discussion on the commitment level of Reebok, as well as what type of influence they will have on CrossFit. From the looks of it; Reebok is extremely committed and CrossFit has already had a tremendous impact on Reebok! Good stuff.
Need more companies like that!

Hmmmm.....Looks like its time to start investing in companies that make PVC pipe!
Can someone point me in the direction of more information on why this 5k is being sponsored and pushed by Crossfit? I'm all for 5ks, but the person who wins this is not going to come from a CF background if it's open to all people.
If I recall, the times of some of the top CF athletes were like 21:00 in one of those videos. Whoever wins this will be sub 14 minutes most likely.
Fatty, I imagine it's the same reason they sponsored a USAW event. Should CF only do events that crossfitters are guaranteed to win?
Fatty:
Be good at all ten skills of fitness, not great at one.
There is no mention whatsoever of the starting time for this 5k. However, I do tend to overlook things right in front of my face. Anyone who has registered have any idea??

@Fatty
This 5k does have an team division that is made up of 5 men and 5 women, I'm guessing there will not be any non-crossfit teams, of course I could be wrong. But the team winners get 10K of the 30K prize purse.
Top Crossfit athletes have 5k's way below 21:00, but probably not competitive against a 5k specialist. But that really doesn't matter because Crossfit is about fitness and community, not about excluding others just because they choose to specialize and most of us don't.

all DUs unbroken, all rounds I used 115 lbs for full squat snatch.
I am pretty comfortable with 115.. after that I get mental.. I can go heavier, but I sometimes miss for stupid mental reasons.. for that reason I stuck with 115. I only felt close once.. the other times I could have easily gone heavier. I felt like the DUs were easy and in the end probably made me think less and make my snatches.. I only have metal plates at my gym so after the rep I have to gently put the weights down.. I will do this again with 120 then 125, etc. I think that by doing more work with slight increases I will get into the mentality where I know I can do weights that are well beyond what I have done, I just need to go out there and do it.
I felt pretty good and fresh after.. although my legs were tight and sore from doing 150 wallballs yesterday. Fun WOD.
I was planning on using wrist wraps for this, but did not. I was happy with my workout, but I need to work on going a bit heavier.. I should easily be using 135 in my opinion. I'll have to focus on working on getting more comfortable with heavier snatches. I think more than anything it's mental for me.

Notes to self: 1) next time for this WOD, move up to 165, 2) think "hands down" during DU; when you're tired, your hands drift up, which shortens the rope.

The GC came in at 19.58 with 135x7 = 945. Plus two laps around the block.
CDR came in at 8.19 with 145x4 + 135*3 = 985. That PR was 3 min and 10 seconds faster with a smidge more WT (+10) than in May 2011.
LTC had mechanical issues, broke his jump rope, then no other jump rope could possibly do...meaning he could not do a single DU with any other jump rope, so after 2 tries, finally got it done with 10 rnds doing the sub 3x1 sub so 105 singles plus 9*115 + 1*125. Time was 16.47
CDR jumped back in to get the LTC motivated, and did another iteration 10 min with 115*7 = 805 using the red handled rope from inside the gym, just to confirm the jump rope was functional. Sqt clean depth was much better the 2nd time.
Glad folks found a way to get the work done. Go Team!

10:15 870 lbs
Failed on first rep. Reps 4,6,7 only ones where I got the weight on first attempt. Used 2 attempts on other attempts. Didn't get after 2 attempts on first round.
DU not bad. Broken roughly in 1/2 on later rounds. Snatches much better when I floated arms & really looked at ceiling on hip ext.

Interesting workout. Could have gone with 145lbs, but decided to do 135lbs. All rounds except 1 of the DU's unbroken. Results = 6:39/945lbs :)
