That was a great video by a team of badass athletes. Whoah! What time is your next class? Count me in.
More better faster
I was slack-jawed with both amazement and pride as I watched these WARRIORS chewing through this workout. It's a testament to their character how these young servicemen aren't letting anything stop them. Hats off to you gentlemen for your service to your country, your sacrifice, and your staying in the fight! Inspiring.
Again Faster Adaptive Team, thank you for providing today's WOD demo. Absolutely inspirational! Semper Fidelis!
The WOD Demo video is truly inspiring guys. I would just like to say thank you for the sacrifices you and all of your fellow servicemen/women have made and continue to make so that we can enjoy the freedoms of our great country. Words cannot express how much I appreciate and respect the service you all provide. Everyone may not agree with the wars we are fighting, but we must always remember and support our troops.
Amazing video of the Adaptive Team! Totally inspired.
Stout work gentlemen! Great inspiration.
Amazing video of the Adapative Team! I can't think of anything more inspirational.
THANK YOU!

AWESOME vid of Again Faster Adaptive Team! Those guys are a true inspiration.
By far one of the best videos I have seen on this site. Guys like that are the reason our military is so great. Amazing! Great work
Awesome video, wish me and my wife were back in San Antonio to work out with such an awesome Gym.
That's a nice bday workout. Simple and I've done it before. Can't wait for Cindy tomorrow.
Did Cindy last week.
PR'd with 34 rounds + 2 pullups
I played that video for my unit at work. One of the guys stated, "I'll never complain about doing crossfit again"....
AMAZING VIDEO!
It's just this type of video that tells me to quit my bitching and suck it up!!! Thanks for the inspiration!!! 3...2...1...GO!
34 rounds of Cindy?! That's nuts.
i am doing both tomorrow!

Totally humbled by the video. Truely inspiring. Thank each and every one of you for your service and sacrafice to this Great Nation...
Need help fellow crossfitters.
Did crossfit cookeville wod just now and during my second set of OHS I got a screaming headache. This has happened in the past and only with OHS; right at the top of my head. Not throughout my head just in one spot on the top. Its near debilitating and I couldnt continue my workout.
Has anyone experienced this? Or know what this is and how to fix it?

well, the adaptive team video will make me work that much harder tomorrow on cindy. great effort and scores gentlemen.
That Again Faster Adaptive team video was one of the most inspirational things I've ever seen. Good work men!
more sandbags there than at my gym!
Wow! I have a lump in my throat, a tear in my eye and I'm ashamed that some days I think I'm too tired for much of a WOD. Very inspirational. There's just no quit in these stalwarts. Thank you for posting this.
Inspired by the video, they are real athletes banging out that wod, I'm such a amateur in my efforts compared to them! The human spirit is incredible in folks that don't know the meaning of impossible!
great wod demo video. way inspiring. the "Collin" wod just about broke me a month ago. tomorrow, i get revenge.
The best video I have ever seen on Crossfit. Thank you for your sacrifice and inspiring my workouts too work harder. I'm so impressed with each of your abilities as athletes.
21 Rounds + 5 Pull Ups. New PR for me.
M/44/5'8"/193
Did 16 rounds. Felt good about a new PR for me until I saw the numbers for some fellow CFer. I am such a beatch :(
Quick question, I've been sick for the past two weeks with a terrible stomach virus that's made me pretty much bed ridden. I know that I can't just jump back immediately into the workouts. Any suggestions on good exercises to ease back in? Thanks!
F/20/5'7"
Rachel, the best part about CrossFit is the fact that almost any workout can be scaled as appropriate. You can modify either of today's workouts in a number of ways to 'ease back in'. You can vary the reps, weights and intensity as you see fit depending upon how your body is feeling. How you scale will depend on your baseline for each excercise, but I'd suggest bands for the bodyweight exercises in these workouts. They can be used to assist almost all the motions here. Good luck and feel better!
@ #40 Rachel,
Google "2 week beginner crossfit" for some WODs to do if main page feels like too much right now. These are a good way to get back into it.
Awesome! Old school CF WOD post.
Wow, great video! Impressive and inspirational. now i feel weak. Did 18 + 5..

Well..... after basically not working out for ever, my frustration of weight gain & physical joint pain was enought to get me to try this (and for the fact that a guy in my department is a crossfit coach and is freaking built for work). So, after dragging my out of shape ass (and man boobs / gut / love handles / etc) out there - I completed 15 sets. I did have to modify the pull-ups to incline ring pull-ups, secondary to an old shoulder injury. So, needless to say - I'm hurting today....... but it is a good hurt!

Complete as many rounds in 20 minutes as you can of:
2 muscle ups

15 Squats
18 rounds 2 MUs
MUs were false grip with turnouts
I was at less then a round a min at the 10:00 min mark, round 12 or 13 pushups started to fail
broke it down to 4/4/2 to keep it tight.
I speed up on squats to try to make up on time. I did'nt really know if i had the room to go faster there but the faster pace held fine.
dip part of the MUs got hard but all sets unbroken. 20 rounds is doable for sure, just tighten up a little. like when the pushups broke I could have transition to sets faster.
Squats fast and butt to ground. Fast enough to end the top on my tip toes. Fun change.
Cindy: 22+5 pull ups and 3 push ups (PR)
Mary, first time 6 rounds, knew I needed the most work on this stuff...HSPU w/ feet on wall and then on bench, first time doing pistols, elevated to let other leg hang, pullups started to suck as round went on...kipping needs work

Did about 9 rounds of situps instead of squats as my legs were felling a bit dodgy from a couple of days ago. I feel like this was slower although also less anaerobically taxing. Seems like I have a wee way to go compared to some others here!

B'day true tale: 23-year-old overweight employee near checkout stand, in sports equipment store, actually asked "how does it feel to be old?", and I came within an inch of saying "How does it feel to be so young and so overweight?" but instead I said, as I hefted the KBs easily, "Feels good to be in better shape now than I was at 40 or even 30" which was true and diplomatic.
Now, 30 mins later, wish I'd said, "Wanna see, right here right now, who can do more burpees in the next 2 minutes, sir?"

Mary - 13 complete rounds on the dot.
I wend unbroken with the pullups through 10 rounds.. then I started to stop after about 11 or so to minimize any deep breathing so I could keep the pace up and do more rounds.. I just wanted to see if I could go 10 rounds unbroken and they were not that bad. I have really been working the pullups, but they feel pretty good lately. I did PRs on my last WOD where you do max pullups each round for 5 rounds.
I was really super strict to get FULL ROM... I'm going to be REALLY on top of myself to not cheat any reps.. it's only a PR is you beat what you did last time with the same legit movements.
Great WOD... I haven't done either Mary or Cindy in a really long time... After doing 31 rounds of Cindy a while back, I really stopped and only do Mary... I do however think that they are really different in that Cindy is such a fast WOD.. you can't stop for a second, but in Mary the movements are more dynamic and you have to pace a little more. All the Cindy movements are short and hard.. 5 pullups is super fast, 10 pushups is super fast, 15 air squats is the longest, but just crank through them and attack the pullups. with Mary the HSPUs are slower as well as the pistols... I never really do pistols except with Mary and I go through them pretty steadily and quickly.. the 15 pullups add up.

So, I'm going to do a Spartan Race today and all the guys at work told me I have to watch the movie "300" before the race...especially since I have never seen it before. Last night I went out and bought the movie and watched it. I'll tell you what, that movie inspires NOTHING near the level that this Adaptive team video just inspired me! I was almost in tears watching the gentleman doing push ups with no legs...simply awe inspiring. Thank you Adaptive team, today I race in honor of you!
