Jeff Tucker is a stand up guy!

Tend to agree with Tucker - something very Woody Allen about those helmets (especially when you see a fewof them in the same frame). "Everything you wanted to know about High Ropes but were too afraid to ask"

I'm coming to the realization that actually learning my multiplication tables makes me love CrossFit more and less at the same time. IE 25 burpees x 6 Rounds I quickly realize that's 150 burpees...Crap..........
3...2...1...GO!
I <3 CrossFit!

Great weekend at crossfit calgary's level one. Todd, Mattt and Nicole are bad ass individuals that know their stuff and are great communicating their artistry! Lie changing experience for me, and I'm not even joking!

Hey guys, thank you for an awesome level one cert this weekend. Really enjoyed working with you guys and polishing up the movements. The whole event was professional yet enjoyable, largely due to the confident, willing instructors. Thank you again!

Now to get some specialty certs here in South Africa next :-)

Thank you Karl, Taz, Jami, Jobst, Chris and Andy for an excellent Level 1 Cert in Johannesburg, South Africa this weekend. Good fun! Also, thanks to Danie and Charmain for hosting us at the B4C Fitness Centre.

A-Mazing weekend for the L1 cert at CrossFit Calgary! Todd, Nicole, and Matt from HQ and Brett from CFC are so knowledgeable and helpful. Learned so, so, so much.

If anyone is considering going even just to be a better CrossFitter with no interest of being a coach - GO!!

I feel more confident in all the movements we went over and have a ton of tools that I can use to improve my game. My brain is full of CrossFit goodness!!!

Thank You. :)

As if being instructed by athletes of your caliber wasn't enough, you guys turned out to be outstanding human beings and a source of inspiration for all of us. Matt, Nicole, Todd, and Brett thank you so much for your dedication and patience.

I will make sure to give you some payback by constantly working on improving my technique... with a god**** PVC pipe ;)

Level 1 Cert in Calgary rocked !!!

Great and thanks to have opened Masters to age divisions. How about 40-44 and 65+ added for 2012?

I've been doing Crossfit for a few years now and I'm still amazed every time I get to work with the HQ staff and other CF coaches. These guys are incredible at their craft and it seems impossible to absorb all the information they have to offer. The Coaches Prep Course was an excellent experience. Thank you for the opportunity to work with all of you this past weekend at Crossfit Atlanta!

Thanks for an amazing level 1 cert Todd, Matt, a Nicole. I really appreciate you guys coming up form Colorado to give us an amazing experience.

Keep up the outstanding work still laughing about how sore my legs are from PVC.

This past weekend I had the privilege of attending the CrossFit Level 1 Cert at CrossFit USD. I have been CrossFitting on and off since 2007 and thought it would be a great experience to learn more about CrossFit methodology, perfect my own technique and also learn how to train people. The cert exceeded my expectations, and one of the last things that came to my mind when I left was, "When can I take another one?!?" The instructors were top notch, and I was excited to see that Katie Hogan was one of the instructors along with Josh Everett, Stephane Rochet, Dave Eubanks, Erik and Kim (unfortunately didn't catch their last names). I enjoyed every lecture that these guys taught, and am pleased that CrossFit holds such a high standard for these certs. They were all very knowledgeable, willing to help us all out as much as possible and learn as much as we can. Looking forward to the next cert!

Just wanted to say thanks again to the training staff that I had the pleasure of learning from this weekend @ USD. May or may not have been the best weekend ever!

Catch up day for me

Fight Gone Bad

so close yet so far

Playoff Beard, I would not describe fear as an approach to the wods, but more of the challenge. Can I better myself from my last attempt at this wod. What was my score/weight 4 years ago, when I first began crossfit. Have I improved or is age causing me to slow down. Crossfit helps me fight that age thing, I refuse to give in. I am not an elite crossfitter, just one that is trying to stay strong/fit. My strong inner drive enables me to challenge me. I am comfortable with that. That is my approach. That is my challenge.

Coach’s prep at Atlanta CrossFit was great. Dan’s Box is awesome! He is also quite a gracious host. Chris Spealler, Chuck Carswell, and Bobbi Millsap were incredibly well prepared for any question we threw their way. They really brought the art of seeing and cultivating efficient movement to a teachable level that I could easily pick up and use. I would recommend the course even though I can’t fill a feedback form out correctly.

Today in my JROTC class we had to run a mile for time, and I ran it 5:55, I was very stoked because that beats my PR by 0:13 seconds.

I did my own WOD today.. it was great.. it could be modified, but I liked it a lot.
Wear a 20 lb weighted vest:
5 rounds of:
2 rope ascents (15')
4 HSPUs (first round did 6 but this was too much.. if I was mainsite programming I might put 6 or even 8)
8 high box jumps.. (if I was mainsite programming I would put down 12 at 30".. these were the easist part and I kept bumping up the height each round... I was about 34 at the end and those I was feeling.. the weighted vest is good for bodyweight movements.. so pulling your body (pullups, rope ascents, etc) as well as pushing (HSPUs, pushups) and jumping were all ideas of mine.. at first I was going to do 100 burpee pullups, but I thought that the vest might chaffe my arms too much.. so I did this.. I was right.. igot chaffing with this WOD, but not too bad.
FUN WOD.. the vest effects your breathing which slows you down a lot.
