Nothing against Jesse, he still a beast for that time, but his burpees had his knees on the ground and his jumps didn't get full knee extension. Just saying.
For the bar-facing burpees, is that 15 total or 15 on each side of the bar?
So many one liners in that demo vid ... Coach B to Rory "you are such an ugly bastard", "children are responsible for themselves" .... Andy Stumpf ... "sacrificing intensity for perfection" ... hahaha what a great vid. The CrossFit community has so many great characters. I think that pre-workout nervous humour is the most under-stated positive element of the CrossFit experience. It is so important to train with people! Great video!

To Ben comment #5...if you watch the wod demo there is no rule about full knee extension on the jumps and you are allowed to hit ur knees on the ground (you will see Matt Chan touch his knees when he is demonstrating). I did one burpee on the round of 12 where i jumped over the bar off of one foot on my 12th burpee, so I did an extra burpee and made sure i left the ground off two feet.

Almost unbroken on 15 I did 11 and 4, 12 I did unbroken, 9 I dropped at 8. Rest was unbroken. The burpees where slow. That is where my time was spent. So, fast burpees!

Only set broke was the set of 12, broke at rep 7, not really for any reason really, I do'nt really know what happened.
Slow on the cleans but solid. Burpees were steady. Only breaks were after the burpees to the cleans. Not long. but long enough for me to not like it. Good workout.

I know how you feel bingo, 5K's keep getting longer and more painful for me. My time a couple weeks ago was close to yours, but I know from my heart rate that I simply couldn't have gone any faster.

first 7 Rx'd and then bumped the weight down to 105 and was doing hang cleans. Wanted to do PC's but it was loud and I felt like someone would get upset with me, especially seeing as I had the weights outside of the designated "lifting" area. Turns out I was right, I was informed by my buddy that my ex-girlfriend had to stick up for me to the manager so they wouldn't make me stop. Special thanks to finishing this WOD goes out to Sarah. I hope you're still Crossfitting!

Surprisingly tough WOD. I started off great, strung together 4 muscle-ups (ties PR), and went unbroken on the thrusters - finishing first round at 0:45. Round 2, I did all muscle-ups as singles, trying not to burn out on them. Went unbroken on the thrusters, and finished second round at 2:00. But I think I had come out too fast - felt a little jacked heading into the last round. Got the first 2 muscle-ups, but just barely. Then the wheels came off. Missed 5 of the next 7 reps, as I just couldn't get a big enough pull. Very frustrating. Finished unbroken on the last round of thrusters, but they were tough. It's clear I need more work on muscle-ups. Still, a fun workout.

Cleans continue to be my metcon nemesis. Learned during the workout that I shouldn't reset my grip between reps; just keep that hook going so you can touch and go. When I got that sorted I was able to string them together like mad even when exhausted in the later rounds.

Not bad overall. Felt like I pushed pretty hard. Took small breaks after each 3 reps on later rounds of cleans. Got head & chest back so seeing ceiling in front of me. Felt like this meant hips getting open. This seemed to help get good rack position/grip as well.

Ouch, that one hurt a little. I've always thought burpees and power cleans were a potent combination. I had dreams of doing the cleans unbroken, but after 15 bar-facing burpees, I was just not there mentally to get through the set of 12 straight. All in all, burpees went okay; power cleans got tough near the end. Lower back and hamstrings were pretty fatigued.
