Crossfit in Level B. Nice.
Wish my bunker gear was that clean! ;-)
I can listen to Castro all day.
WOW....Sweet looking Turnout Gear man...Pasadena must have a industrial gear washer at every firehouse!!!
I joke, but atleast you are doing "something"...there's a lot of obese loads in many fire jurisdictions that can barely fit into their turnout gear...

That bench number seems off, he's got a 145 max overhead press, I'd think that would be higher with a 285 pound bench press.
Nice selection of bumper plates.
285! Was that a dream?
Nice work. Crossfit in turn out gear is always fun.

I kinda wanna see a video of this 285lb bench he claims..

Nice gear. But ya'll sure do have odd helments out there.
Kinda looks like station 33??? Pasadena,CA right?
Did anyone see that "Murph" had a warship named after him? That is AWESOME!!!!
California (check)t-shirt (check) shorts (check)TOQUE(check) skate-boarding while drinking lemon/lime caffeine cola grooving to pop-song featuring voice-modulator on personal device (next time).
I think he meant to say 225, and if his overhead press is 145, I think he'd struggle with 225.
OMG !!!!! It's Bill . This firefighter is the real deal !
I wouldn't be so sceptical about the numbers 145 for overhead and 285 for the bench press. When I could do two reps of 308 in the bench I struggled with 154 in the overhead press.
However, I allways thought the bench press the easiest lift of all.
WWWWHHHHHOOOOOOOO
Day 100 of 100DBC. Done. 97
Out of all of us who started, just me and my man made it. Worst day ever....the day after wee healed from the flu and had to make up 300 some burpees. Which we did in one very long sickening session.
As somebody said the other day.....BUCK FURPEES!
Gonna chill for a fe days then bust out another 100 to see how fast I can go. To anyone still doing them...
3,2, 1, GO!
please post on the main site that Murph just got a warship named after him. Since we haven't done "Murph" since new year's eve, fitting that it comes up soon!!!
rest days? thats what weekends are for!
He looked less comfortable with the bench press question then he did getting peppered about the 2011 games WODs/format. Not a very good poker face but the guy is def funny to watch.
I bench fairly regularly and my max is about 235. Of course, I'm old and weak but 285 seems like a big number. Go Dave!

Didn't do my burpee challenge yesterday so I paid for it today. I made up yesterday (68) and did todays burpee challenge (69) for a total of 137 burpees.
It looks like tht lady in the back holding up a copy of Arnold Schwarzenegger's the New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding ? Lol! I think tht FF wsd just issued tht gear minutes before the pic was taken way too clean and pretty
the turn outs do look pretty clean but that wont last long. The department im with issues new gear every 5 years, got my latest set about a month ago and was hearing a lot of the same smart ass comment about how good I looked in shiny gear etc.Got them nice a dirty 3 days ago. I remember thinking my partner who outweighs me by 30 lbs really ought to start hittin the WODS with me cuz he sure was an air hog. Thanks CrossFit!!
no heavy wods on the open?? what gives. cf games/regionals should be representative of this, otherwise all the 'strongs' were weeded out before it ever started. first games had no heavy wods(except the cft, which was scaled to one's wt). 2nd games essentially determined by heavy wods. last yr's games were awesome--long, short, light, heavy, unique wods. best representation of broad range yet...
looked like dave was offended when the camera guy called him skinny.
This is my first post. I've been following the cf wods for about a month now and I was hoping someone could give me pointers for overhead squats. I think my main problem is shoulder flexibility. Are there any stretches or other lifts I can do to get stronger on the OHS? I'm just squatting with an empty bar now. I appreciate any comments.
Ya! LOL!! Love the lady in the background!!
