Now there are five? Is this a contest on who can post the most topless pullup picture? Let's think of something new folks.

Great pic ladies. Show off your hard work.

Comment #17 - Posted by: JS NY at December 28, 2010 5:20 PM

ok...i love Crossfit but, girls, stop that plz...this is a new kind of WOD?

Comment #18 - Posted by: Rod at December 28, 2010 5:25 PM

Kipping "nip-ups" ??

Comment #19 - Posted by: Jon at December 28, 2010 5:27 PM

I think it's only fair that men AND women can both work out topless at CrossFit if that's what they choose.

Comment #20 - Posted by: Bryan Ohr at December 28, 2010 5:27 PM

Totally unnecessary to have another topless girls pic.

Comment #21 - Posted by: Britt at December 28, 2010 5:27 PM

CrossFit Football did it first

Comment #22 - Posted by: thatguy at December 28, 2010 5:28 PM

Brian I believe the purpose of the picture, as with all pictures on the main site, is for us to look at it.

Comment #23 - Posted by: Frank at December 28, 2010 5:30 PM

Interesting variety in muscularity...from a purely scientific perspective.

Comment #24 - Posted by: kevin o at December 28, 2010 5:30 PM

Thank you for what I really wanted for Christmas: SEALFIT Part 1!!

Comment #25 - Posted by: Zach B at December 28, 2010 5:32 PM

I absolutely love Crossfit, but I am starting to get sick of the topless pictures. Why do women constantly have to be objectified? I know many Crossfit girls that can lift more than men so cut it out....

Comment #26 - Posted by: Mari at December 28, 2010 5:33 PM

Let's see what the follow-up picture will look like.

Comment #27 - Posted by: Vincent N at December 28, 2010 5:33 PM

Interesting that all of these girls have much more definition in their backs compared to the Barbadoes topless girl...was she faking the pullup in that pic?

Comment #28 - Posted by: Erc at December 28, 2010 5:36 PM

Do the people with negative comments about these pictures have a pulse, because clearly no sense of humor! Good job ladies show off what you work so hard for!

Comment #29 - Posted by: Joshua Cano at December 28, 2010 5:38 PM

PC Police go home. Great way to end a great set of WODs

Comment #30 - Posted by: Damion at December 28, 2010 5:40 PM

Do the people who put negative comments on here about these pictures have a pulse, because its clear they have no sense of humor! If these ladies are proud of what they have undoubtedly worked so hard for then let them show it off! If you don't like it then this program probably isnt for you!

Comment #31 - Posted by: Josh at December 28, 2010 5:41 PM

These pics are getting out of hand. And the argument that girls can work out without shirts doesn't hold water. They're not working out, they're posing. Its not the same.

Comment #32 - Posted by: Brad at December 28, 2010 5:42 PM

Perhaps HQ could post one of these pics each day until all the people commenting about how much they dislike it stop commenting....this would probably fall into the longer time modal domains like a month maybe, but in the end would be worth it I think.

Comment #33 - Posted by: B-Mo M/6'/190/33 at December 28, 2010 5:42 PM

I love how this is a slap in the face to all the whiners from the last pullup picture courtesy of these 5 women.

Nice form!

Comment #34 - Posted by: Alex at December 28, 2010 5:42 PM

Can some one just quickly explain to me how in anyway this is offensive? These women clearly know that they are being photographed, none of you have the right to tell them they should be doing otherwise!

Comment #35 - Posted by: Eddie at December 28, 2010 5:48 PM

Ya! Ya! What he said!

Comment #36 - Posted by: JohnnyA M/40/190/5'7 at December 28, 2010 5:50 PM

Eddie said it right... back off everyone, it's a great shot, and something the obviously wanted to do.

Picture is old. Was on Crossfit Football a week ago.

@Alex - Awesome comment.

All those haters from the last picture, the ones that said they'll never come back because of the pictures and bla bla bla I can't wait to see what they say now.

Don't like it, don't come here anymore.

If the last pic was porn, I wonder what this constitutes as?

Comment #40 - Posted by: Charlie at December 28, 2010 6:04 PM

Maybe it's okay to objectify women for their strength? Nice to see women portrayed as beautiful without appearing submissive. Oh never mind let's just put a pair of shorts on David and a pushup bras on the Venus and we can go back to our god fearing ways

Comment #41 - Posted by: Jobris5 at December 28, 2010 6:04 PM

@Eddie - Some people are just crazy. They don't realize that this women are allowing this and enjoy it.

Hard work pays off and they deserve this.

Comment #42 - Posted by: Charlie at December 28, 2010 6:05 PM

I'm a lady still working for my first unassisted pullup - and I think this photo is an awesome response to the original one that started so much debate. 1) you can see their feet are hanging in the air - no faking, obviously; 2) they are ALL obviously very strong, fit ladies, and 3) they have a wide variety of body shapes and sizes; we're not all the same. The best part though, is that this photo is ALL about that muscle definition and pullup ability that they've worked hard for - I see it as saying "a photo of a girl's shirtless back while she's doing a pullup CAN be about 'look at how strong she is,' not 'check out the babe." I actually think this picture does a good job of putting some mud in the eye of the types that would see such a photo and only be interested in objectifying its subject, or be interested in viewing women as a bunch of skinny faceless backsides in bikinis. Like most art (let's not forget photography is an art form, here, and that much of art focuses on the varied aesthetics of the human form), it is what you make of it. I choose to make of it a statement of self assertion and strength from 5 ladies who are, for now at least, all stronger than me and doing something I still only aspire to do - and that a lot of people might just say they never COULD do.

Comment #43 - Posted by: Working for that pullup at December 28, 2010 6:06 PM

Why do girls keep hating on these pics? There not distasteful and it shows off there hard work! I mean they all look amazing! Stop hating people anyways awesome pic!

Comment #44 - Posted by: Gage at December 28, 2010 6:07 PM

It is just a picture, chill out guys.

Well played ladies, well played.

# 23 Frank,
You are my hero. What you wrote is hilarious!

Comment #50 - Posted by: Kevin at December 28, 2010 6:15 PM

Relax, people. It's tongue-in-cheek. It's a response to the tropical bikini bottom grl photo. It's supposed to make you giggle. It's also to appreciate the female form for beauty in it's strength. This is NOT porn by any means.

Comment #51 - Posted by: Sabrina at December 28, 2010 6:19 PM

I think that the reason that crossfit post these pictures to show women how beautiful it is to be strong. So many women are scared to lift weights for fear of becoming big and bulky, but after seeing thiese pictures the last week I would be willing to bet that more women will be lifting big weights in the near future.

Comment #52 - Posted by: jeff at December 28, 2010 6:20 PM

I'm rallying my guys to do a group deadlift shot....pantless. Standby for our submission!

Please stop giving people named Brian a bad rep. Thanks.

Comment #54 - Posted by: Brian at December 28, 2010 6:21 PM

SealFit is the single greatest challenge I have endured and one of the best experiences of my life. If you want to take your life, your coaching, your parenting, or whatever to another level, then make it a goal to saddle up and experience Kokoro. You will find a part of you that you didn't know existed for sure.

Comment #55 - Posted by: Erik Larson at December 28, 2010 6:24 PM

Two comments:
1. Just watched part 1 of the SealFit video in the journal: "If you're not willing to give it all, then DO NOT continue". Wow! I am at the edge of my seat waiting to see what they go through next...

2. Great picture, Potomac CrossFit! Not only is this a nice example of the strength and beauty of female crossfitters but it also shows off the great sense of humor that I love about the Potomac CrossFit crew. Love it!

Comment #56 - Posted by: Christy Phillips at December 28, 2010 6:25 PM

I'm not religious, but i know something of it says that we are all equal. So why is it that men can take "topless" pics and there's no griping about it. Yet a woman does it and it's a problem?
It's just a body, that's it, not a big difference, just a larger chest (sometimes) between a man and a woman. That's it, what's the big deal? Why can't we all just accept the fact that we are all created equal, so why can't we all be seen and treated as equals? It's just a body, that's it.

And of course they're posing for the picture, just about all of the photos are poses, sure there's a few that are taken during work-outs,but the majority of them are poses; whether they're posing during a work out, or like the provided, just posing in general.

Also, to reiterate the obvious AGAIN, and AGAIN, this is a free website, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but the site admins can, and will, post whatever they want!

Hope everyone had a good christmas and has an even better new years!

Comment #57 - Posted by: Chach at December 28, 2010 6:27 PM

First of all, the people leaving the negative comments are, in my opinion, absolutely absurd. The reasons have already been listed, I'm just jumping on the bus. Second, these girls and the Barbados girl might not even be topless. They may be wearing pasties. There is only one way to find out...

Woooooo!

Comment #58 - Posted by: Josh at December 28, 2010 6:27 PM

Some say the human body is God's finest work, not something to cover up and be ashamed of. As its already been said, they posed because they chose to. I would imagine these are strong, confident women, not objects.

It's only porn if you think it is.

Comment #59 - Posted by: Old man Dave at December 28, 2010 6:29 PM

Thanks CF HQ for showing the beauty of strong women who own their sexuality. All five of you look amazing!

Comment #60 - Posted by: StephieG at December 28, 2010 6:31 PM

I can't agree more with comment #51. These girls are smoking hot, and I would love it if my gf did crossfit. The whole weight lifting stigma that most women perceive is total BS.

Comment #61 - Posted by: steve at December 28, 2010 6:35 PM

I don't see what the big deal is....... their form is great!

Comment #62 - Posted by: Steven at December 28, 2010 6:35 PM

Comment #65 - Posted by: elerbyit at December 28, 2010 6:44 PM

why no comments about the great "human over head" video, there's way more in there for the feminists or PC police to get offended about.

that video is the best in a while!

Comment #66 - Posted by: kent at December 28, 2010 6:46 PM

No one is holding a gun to their head. If they take the picture, they're proud of it, and send it in, what's the problem?

Comment #67 - Posted by: jake at December 28, 2010 6:47 PM

Wow...even Crossfit is selling out and selling sex...great.

Comment #68 - Posted by: Jenni at December 28, 2010 6:53 PM

this is a free site. how are they selling sex #66?

Comment #69 - Posted by: Brian at December 28, 2010 6:56 PM

I agree with you Jenni.
Crossfit is selling out.
I love the workouts, but I am losing respect for crossfit. Very trashy.

Comment #70 - Posted by: Dan at December 28, 2010 6:56 PM

I'm a guy. I love the pic, however if we are trying to gain respect as CrossFitters, I'm not so sure this is the way to go about it. Just an opinion!

Comment #71 - Posted by: Kevin Suttmoeller at December 28, 2010 7:03 PM

On one hand, Crossfit is about function--not appearance. So your achievement is measured by your score on the benchmark WODS--not how you look.

On the other hand, high performance in Crossfit does lead to physiological changes, including lower bodyfat and proportioned lean mass, and a certain "functional" look, as a side benefit.

Comment #72 - Posted by: aed939 at December 28, 2010 7:05 PM

Isnt one of the slogans for Crossfit "Look good naked?"

Well, they look great. Look at the back muscles! Even more reason to show up at the box!

Comment #73 - Posted by: JB at December 28, 2010 7:06 PM

Ahh, Gotta love CrossFit porn.

Comment #74 - Posted by: Wes at December 28, 2010 7:07 PM

I think it is funny! I am probably one of few women who think so... I think it more funny because of all the comments. Those girls have crazy definition in their backs!

Comment #75 - Posted by: Sarah at December 28, 2010 7:08 PM

I don't think crossfiter's need to gain any respect, anywhere. 3-2-1-go is where we gain respect.

Comment #76 - Posted by: kent at December 28, 2010 7:14 PM

I wish they'd take one of those pics with them facing the camera so we can see who they are.

Comment #77 - Posted by: dave at December 28, 2010 7:16 PM

Why does that never happen the day iam there!

Comment #87 - Posted by: Dane at December 28, 2010 7:41 PM

A CrossFit body is not given to you.... You have to earn it. If you earned it, it's yours to show off.

Lets not be jealous cause your lats aren't as ripped as theirs.

Comment #88 - Posted by: M. at December 28, 2010 7:43 PM

Please everybody! Can somebody comment on what's really important here?!?! The nerds in the computer competition article??? Hello?? USA!! USA!! That article was posted for the amusement of those crossfitters who have yet to see what's on the front of those lovely ladies in the photo.

Comment #89 - Posted by: asuderelict at December 28, 2010 7:45 PM

Whatever you find offensive in a picture, Crossfit adresses it in another picture.

You don't like the girl in a bikini in the snow ? Well you can have a guy in a bikini in the snow.

You don't like the bear hunter because he might be a trophy hunter, and might not be a hardcore crossfitter ?
Crossfit comes back with a meat hunter, who is obviously in good shape because he is up in the mountains, at least as tough as most mountain hikes because he is carriying a heavier load.

You don't like the first topless picture, because she doesn't look like she is crossfiting ?
Now you have 5 more muscular, definitely crossfitting girls that looks like they don't need help for pull-ups ?

What else do you don't like, Crossfit will adresses everything...

Crossfit is also about opening your mind, since the very beginning. And it ran pics that are sexier that this one, for a very long time. But I think these girls have good, strong backs and deserve respect.

Comment #90 - Posted by: Martin Cloutier at December 28, 2010 7:49 PM

Jenni and Mari are probably just two girls that "do crossfit" and are still fat. Don't hate girls. They're not being objectified. If there's any objectification going on, it's by the women themselves. This was CFFB picture first, and there was absolutely no bitching whatsoever. Way to act like a bunch of uppity prudes CrossFit community (obviously not everyone).

"If you're not bleeding or throwing up, you're not working out!"

Comment #91 - Posted by: McQ at December 28, 2010 7:50 PM

But it's fine and dandy to have dudes with no shirts on every other day? Little double standard in sexism maybe?

Comment #92 - Posted by: Andrew at December 28, 2010 7:52 PM

Regarding the young computer nerds, todays sexist picture may cause them to crossover to mathdebate.

Comment #93 - Posted by: Jack at December 28, 2010 8:01 PM

This is pathetic Crossfit. This is how HQ decides to respond to the last photo of controversy?? If this is accepted in today’s society as being ok and not ‘pornographic’, please point me to the gym that allows women to work out topless. And don’t argue that men would get kicked out of a gym too if they decided to workout topless, everyone knows it is not the same. Women, why not work out and get great bodies and be CLASSY about it. I’m sorry doing a pull up topless is NOT classy!! I don’t care how great of shape you’re in.

Comment #94 - Posted by: crossfitter at December 28, 2010 8:10 PM

Just watched the "Human Overhead Tutorial" video. That was awesome! I have been watching the video posts for a long time. While I love the training and coaching info. And the workouts are amazing. What I always go away from them remembering is the people and personalities and community.

Comment #95 - Posted by: Barry at December 28, 2010 8:14 PM

Muscles are muscles folks....grow up.

Comment #96 - Posted by: Daniel at December 28, 2010 8:24 PM

Whats up with all the slutty as s pictures laity? That s why I initially left the gym and started doing crossfit.don't turn crossfit into a lifetime or la fitness.keep it hardcore and lets get seriouse about working out

Comment #97 - Posted by: Luis at December 28, 2010 8:28 PM

sigh of course it's for a laugh and a rise out of the comments.
so here it is. No lie. Crossfit women, we are smokin hot. My back is awesome. But being a crossfitter is so much more than that ... can't we be classy too?

Comment #98 - Posted by: kathy at December 28, 2010 8:35 PM

In a day and age where I see girls my little sisters age (19) binging and purging or starving themselves to fit some perceived status quo of beauty that they saw on tv or in the media, I am very happy to see pictures like this. Strong is the new skinny. The sexiest part of this pic to me is not the fact that they are topless or their physiques, it is the fact that they are showing the world a new definition of beauty that any young girl can strive for. I love the women of crossfit and love seeing the sense of accomplishment and confidence we see from a new woman that starts working out at our box!

Comment #99 - Posted by: Matt at December 28, 2010 8:37 PM

Ladies great work you're gorgeous. Love all the crazy comments. Brings a smile to a deployed Soldier.

Comment #100 - Posted by: PBE 2314 at December 28, 2010 8:37 PM

Very fit ladies, but c'mon, is this a topless site or a fitness site? After the two topless photos I am not sure I want to continue to introduce my daughters to the crossfit site and to read crossfit with me. Prudish? Nope. Crossfit.com: deal with exercise not topless ladies.

Comment #101 - Posted by: Mic at December 28, 2010 8:46 PM

These ladies are in shape, but c'mon, do we need this? Is this a fitness site or a topless ladies site? I am not sure that i want to continue to have my daughters (almost teen and early teen) to read this site with me. Prudish? Nope. I want them to learn health and fitness and this photo has nothing to do with those things.

Comment #102 - Posted by: Mic at December 28, 2010 8:51 PM

I think the women look great, but how many more topless pictures does the site need.

Comment #103 - Posted by: robin at December 28, 2010 8:51 PM

Is this necessary? Everything on the planet relates back to sexuality....get over it be fit to be fit not naked like some starved celebrity.

Comment #104 - Posted by: Heather M at December 28, 2010 9:10 PM

Ewww. They all had their shirts off together? One word. Awkward. and Pointless. I guess that's two words.

Comment #105 - Posted by: Yvonne at December 28, 2010 9:11 PM

this makes me want to get serious about working out..

Comment #106 - Posted by: Carter at December 28, 2010 9:17 PM

Women objectified? It was their choice to pose for the pic and have the pic taken, it's not like they were forced to do it. So in this case, it's not offensive. This pic just shows that pullups and the idea of crossfit itself gets you a nice muscular looking back and this is marketed by several crossfit girls. Anyone get motivated to hit the wods harder? So folks just cheer up and live a little. We are all adults and all can tolerate a pic of girls demonstrating a pullup lockout. Also, what's the point of a shirt during a wod? Save some water/laundry and not where one because it's just going to get sweaty. Just a thought

Comment #107 - Posted by: Vlad at December 28, 2010 9:19 PM

Why are people getting so upset over a picture?its not like there's a mirror on the other side.if it was a man noone would say anything.its their backs showing their muscularity.people really need to grow up in this country not all nudity is meant to be stimualting sexually. Good thing these people weren't around when michelangelo was sculpting david.

Comment #108 - Posted by: paz at December 28, 2010 9:27 PM

Nice pullup bar! Very well designed. And are those Elite rings? SWEET!

Comment #109 - Posted by: Tom at December 28, 2010 9:38 PM

Can we please have a picture of at least one topless woman overhead squatting a dead animal....picture taken from the back, of course. I can't think of any other picture that would offend the dweebs that show up here more than a picture like that would.....Please???

They're backs. Add a string across of each one of their backs in the exact same picture and is it then acceptable? Come on, now.

Comment #113 - Posted by: Duane at December 28, 2010 10:07 PM

This photo makes me want to leave crossfit.

Guys with out shirts is acceptable because its not nudity. This is not sexism.

Comment #114 - Posted by: Dan at December 28, 2010 10:15 PM

Years ago Marilyn Manson wanted to include a photo of a child taking a bath on one of his album covers. The record exec's went batsh*t, saying that they'd be accused of selling child pornography and refused to run the pic'. Turns out it was a family photo of one Brian Warner, who later grew up to find infamy and fortune as Marilyn Manson. His point, Porn is in the mind of the beholder.

Comment #115 - Posted by: CUZ at December 28, 2010 10:32 PM

Man, I was offended when some of the videos/pics showed females' ankles. This takes it way too far. I mean, if they had sports bras on it would be completely different. HQ, if you could please blur out the middle of the back next time I would not be so offended.

Comment #116 - Posted by: Matt at December 28, 2010 10:33 PM

Darnit Crossfit! I want to see dead animals, not half naked women!!!

Comment #118 - Posted by: Cf at December 28, 2010 11:05 PM

A bare back is not nudity, nor is it porn. If you are a commenter that thinks it is then you need to get comfortable with the human form first and focus on exercise and crossfit later once you've matured a bit more.

Great pic.

If this photo, or the previous one from Barbados, makes you want to leave crossfit then just leave, don't pout on the way out.

Comment #119 - Posted by: jeff at December 28, 2010 11:06 PM

Dear Crossfit,
Please continue to post these frankly excellent photos that annoy feminists and ecomentalists. Crossfit is meant to be hardcore and maybe a picture combining everything that is not PC would help to remove the plauge of leftists that seem to populate todays PC world off of one of the finest websites on the net.
Keep up the good work and hard WOD'S :)

Comment #120 - Posted by: Ben/18/152 at December 28, 2010 11:07 PM

This is the second picture I've seen like this and to be honest its EXTREMELY trashy. I can understand a sports bra and some tiny shirts because that's what wee really whitehouse in. plus if your going to take a picture please have a body that can properly represent crossfit.

WOW...am I actually reading these comments correctly? Men are actually complaining about topless women and they would rather see guys with their shirts off instead? Am I missing something here? Good job ladies, keep up the good work!

Comment #123 - Posted by: Smitty at December 28, 2010 11:43 PM

Im pretty elated that this picture has made the board. Countless times I over hear women who do Crossfit say that they dont want to gain muscle because they want to keep a "lady-like" figure. They even go as far as taking their time during WODs with water breaks, never going RX even if they can, and just moving really, really, really, really, really, slow on any physical activity. Im not judging them, however, these women (in this pic) have accomplished something good for their mental and physical health. So do I see 5 male-ish looking figures holding a pull-up. NOPE! I see that these ladies have decided to bring SEXY BACK!!

No pun intended.

Comment #124 - Posted by: 808Crossfitter at December 28, 2010 11:47 PM

This is the response to Barbados ... redux. It's nice! The backs of these gals are awesome. Hey, I had to keep looking at that first gal and I'm NOT that way (not that there's anything wrong with it! ;) ), but dang it was a great picture!

BEAUTIFUL!!! That's what I call diversity of shape. I AM PROUD OF MY BODY LOOKING AT THAT PIC. It's saved on my desktop! Crossfit women come in all shapes & sizes!!! Raise the standard!! Crossfit ain't for the PC; hit-up the corporate brand gyms. Everyone's properly covered and look great (awesome job on the Adobe Photoshop by the way...). Crossfit gym: tattoos, asses that can crack walnuts, and enough space to kip on rings & bars. How much more fun can it get?

Comment #127 - Posted by: Chia at December 29, 2010 12:51 AM

I found the photographs of the women's backs fascinating. It's so rare to see a full back shot of a women's back without shirt or straps covering the muscles. It is beautiful to see how different bodies develop muscle definition. Very inspiring!

What I find "EXTREMELY trashy" is the mind frame that only pictures of bodies that can "properly represent Crossfit" should be used. Last, I checked CF loves the underdog that is trying as hard as they can no matter how they look.

Comment #128 - Posted by: Karen H. at December 29, 2010 12:51 AM

Comment #129 - Posted by: Chia at December 29, 2010 12:56 AM

Poor women, men (and some women)look at them because they are attractive...and poor guys that get looks because of the same reason. Grow up kids, biology shouldn't be made P.C. because some individuals have insecurities or a hair up their arses. Love it or hate it, move on.

Comment #130 - Posted by: Phillip Barnett at December 29, 2010 1:07 AM

I try to stay above the fray with a lot of these posting arguments, but now it seems a trend is starting so I thought I'd weigh in. I think that all of you who are going so far out of your way to say that there's no difference b/t shirtless men or women and calling the rest of us ignorant are making fools of yourselves. As long as women have breasts and men don't there's a difference, any child can tell you that. Yes it would be different if there was a string across their back, because its not about what you can or can't see in the picture, its about the fact that crossfit is putting topless women on the main site. In most civilized places on the planet, topless women are considered indecent for public exposure. I can understand all your arguements about how it was their choice and how it doesn't really show anything, but its not classy and it doesn't speak well of our sport. Lets keep this site on a respectable level so that we can all be proud to recommend it to freinds and family.

As one legal scholar once said, "I don't know how to define pornography, but I know it when I see it". Are topless back pictures of what appear to be beautiful women doing pullups pornographic? I don't know, but I do know that it invokes a neuro-endocrine response in my male body that I really like. Is crossfit a "family" website? I have introduced crossfit to my wife, my 11 year old daughter, and my 15 and 17 year old nieces. I think crossfit is great for women, and gives them great bodies, but I wouldn't want my daughter or my wife or nieces taking of their shirts and doing pullups. That clashes with my "family values". Many of you will say that I'm too old fashioned, that I need to leave 1950 and come to 2010. But there are also many of you who would agree with me. This is indicative of the chasm that is developing in our country and in our world. It is a chasm dividing those who believe in the old standards of decency and what is right versus those who believe anything goes as long as you don't "physically hurt" somebody else. It's a clash between the moral and the amoral, the theist and the atheist, the monogamist and the hedonist. It's a debate that will continue to rage. And yes, we who think this way do have a right to voice our opinion.

Comment #133 - Posted by: MIke at December 29, 2010 2:05 AM

I'm a guy so maybe i cant speak for the women but what crossfit has done for my body is awesome. I never want to wear a shirt and I always want to show off my hard work because never in my life have i had the body to be proud of. The women in the picture are probably very proud of their bodies and the hard work they have put in. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think this picture is very sexy only because i respect the hard work these women put it day in and day out and not just because they happened to be take their shirts off.

Comment #137 - Posted by: james d at December 29, 2010 2:45 AM

Get a life. Its just a body. Maybe hiding them under clothes and being ashamed all the time has enabled us to destroy them with bad food and lifestyle choices. We need to embrace our bodies and stop being so closeted and embarrassed. If I sat down with tribesmen and tried to explain the way we feel about nudity I don't think I could make them understand. And before you come up with the line "but we are a civilized society" that is rubbish. We live in a society where people have lost touch with themselves physically and spiritually. We live in a society that uses and abuses the third world, uses so many resources we are stripping our planet dry. And despite all our so called luxury we seem more miserable and unhealthy than ever. Compare that to these so called savages who live in harmony with their environment and have a sustainable future. Who are the real savages? The same people who complain about this pic are the same who would complain about being touched if you are coaching them. All I can say is get laid once in a while and lighten up

Comment #141 - Posted by: Brian at December 29, 2010 3:59 AM

The range of comments indicates the range of personal feelings about the subject of exploitation of women. Perhaps we should view this as provoking discussion about that subject as opposed to the main site being gratuitous or exploitive. After all, only the backs are shown. We have to interpret to consider the fronts. So the adverse reactions mean some consciousness is predominated by what we think we perceive rather than what is actually before us. And isn't Crossfit about the here and now...so, the muscular articulated backs which is all we see, as opposed to the fronts. And did anyone ever stop to consider why a woman's chest generates such interests when a man's chest does not. Perhaps the reason is that in society it's culturally acceptable form a man to show his chest. But the woman naked provokes reactions seated not in voyeurism, but in a protective instinct we men have toward "our women" which Crossfit confronts as it enables women to develop strength and an identity that is not an extension of the idea of being owned and protected by a man?

Comment #142 - Posted by: RayG at December 29, 2010 4:03 AM

If your getting all technical that these woman are offensive because they have breast..... I think CF realized this and this is why they are facing THE OTHER DIRECTION!!!! I do not see any breast or anything offensive...

If a defined female teres major/ minor or infraspinatus is offensive to you... you are holding the double standard to woman and men!

Interesting discussion. I think it can be turned in another direction. What is it that you find attractive? Since doing Crossfit (2years), I have a different version of what I find attractive. Is Crossfit changing what is considered the "ideal" woman?

We had a charity fundraiser in our area and one local woman has moved on and become a runway model in NYC. She made an appearance at the fundrasier and I saw a few pictures on Facebook. I had to laugh when I saw the little stick legs and anorexic arms. In other words, what the mainstream media sees as ideal, we see as unhealtlhy/malnurished.

In a quick look, I couldn't find a source or name for the picture, but it was somewhere on the site earlier in the month. It was from a games competition and she was carrying a sandbag up a hill. That was an "ideal" woman. A top level competitor, great legs, great arms, determined face and the pic was certainly not posed or retouched.

I can think of other examples, but it's time to get to work.

BTW all that haters for the girl pics. One of the things that will skyrocket crossfit is selling the beautiful women that do it. Its just reality. Why do you think Anna Kornikova is so popular? Its not because she wins. Crossfit needs to market their women more.

Comment #157 - Posted by: Jim at December 29, 2010 6:04 AM

Topless or not, the most attractive part of the photo is the yoga pants. Nothing you can't see in any gym, mall, university, street etc etc. but that doesn’t change the fact they look HOT! Women are beautiful, period. A back shot with or without a sports bra on is really irrelevant. As far as I am concerned, a front shot with a tiny lycra top is more “sexual” than this picture.... just my thoughts, keep it up! Well done ladies!

Comment #160 - Posted by: MattS at December 29, 2010 6:15 AM

I have several thoughts on these pictures of topless women.

First of all, these girls all look amazing and they should be very proud of themselves. One of the benefits of CrossFitting is that it develops our bodies in ways we are proud of. Strong IS beautiful and these women have clearly embraced the muscular physiques they have created of their own resolve.

My concern with these pictures is that they are tainting the very foundation of CrossFit which is: EVERYONE can do it. These images are clearly off-putting to several people – hence the multiple posts voicing complaints. So, why even risk being exclusionary?

CrossFit is supposed to be a place for people of all shapes, sizes, and levels of physical fitness. It’s a place where everyone should feel comfortable and safe in an environment where they can push themselves to do things they never thought possible. The aesthetics that athletes gain are really just a bonus compared to the friendships forged, the communities built and the PR’s accomplished. These things, in my opinion, are the real draws of becoming a CrossFitter. My friends and coaches, the jokes we share and the encouragement they provide are what gets me out of my house and to my box every day.

Perhaps these things should be what mainsite focuses on as well.

People keep referring to this picture and saying it’s not classy or that “civilized” places cover women up because the female body is somehow indecent. All those who are complaining about this photo, do you not realize the “civilized” laws that are applied to women are actually the same laws that take away your equality. I believe that women are strong individuals capable of doing anything men can do. These social rules on women are crippling them and they are actually based in religion. Should all be forced to follow the broad religious standards that are in America today? Should all women cover there faces, be forced to submit to the man’s will? How about we take there right to vote away again? Maybe we should just keep women at home to take care of the kids, while only the man goes out to work. How can you expect to be treated equally if you’re not allowed to act as a man’s equal. Crossfit is about equality as much as it is a fitness program. It shows that a little old lady can work just as hard as an 18 year old man and get results. These photos are not dirty or wrong in any way. They are not even provocative. If you feel that the female body is indecent than maybe you should seek mental help because there is something very wrong with believing your body is trashy pornographic or some sex only object. Why don’t you girls research these social rules that you are happily allowing to be placed upon you then think about your equality today

Ok, I normally don't post anything on this site just look at the WOD and picture, occasionally watch a video to learn new technique, but some of your comments are just plain ludicrous. It's a picture of women's backs. I use to be a personal trainer, so my hat is off to these ladies because to achieve results like that takes serious work. I am a Marine and proud to serve my country so people who can't say nice things and think its tasteless to post these things can speak. Just shows how ignorant you really are that someone's bare back can offend you. Keep it up ladies and not just the ones in the photo, that just shows your hard work.

Comment #165 - Posted by: Marine at December 29, 2010 6:42 AM

Regardless of how one views this photo, no one should be able to read all of these comments without being at least a bit embarrassed about being part of this community. HQ, is this really the level of discussion you’re aiming for? Please stick to photos of good or bad form, heroes, crossfitters in action, or inspirational performances. Those seem to prompt some reasonable commentary. What I’m reading today makes me want to take a shower.

#153 - Completely disagree, I have been doing Crossfit on and off for 5 years. I am in incredible shape. Last year I competed in a body building show using only Crossfit to train. I looked great. But, I still have a problem with these photos. Maybe HQ is posting them to only get a rise out of people, but it is distasteful. Crossfit has blown up in popularity by selling fitness alone. There is no reason to sell sex on the site.

I was just looking up Crossfit while at work, the owner walks in and sees the page and gives me “that look” and asks what am I looking at. I have been promoting Crossfit to her for awhile now. She sees the page for the first time and has lost interest.

People can defend the picture up and down for this reason and that, but it comes down to people with respectable morals have an issue with the picture.

Not that I necessarily agree or disagree with the pic but one of the quickest ways for a female to get her pic on the main page is to wear as little clothing as possible.

My question is if women want to have the same creditability as men in the CF community, why must our bodies be exploited in such a sexual way? However, I do love the pic and love many of the ones showcasing women defying the stereotypes of what it means to be 'feminine.'

Just wondering - how many Hero WODs are for women? I've never come across one for a woman (then again, I've only being CFing for a year).

Why is there this fear that a lot of things come back to sexuality? Crossfit is about fitness and workouts- but lets be honest, without sexuality humanity doesn't exist. It's embedded in the genome for us to be attracted to reproduce.

Crossfit be more hardcore? shut it. Without taking a step back to be able to be have seriousness and frivolity about life you probably are doing something wrong.

On another note: is Michelangelo's David pornography? or the fine celebration of the machine that the human body is. Mature up, or open your mind to a different perspective. Fear is something that will always hinder you, and I sense a lot of that here in that something which we all have. (e.g. back muscles) How is this being considered pornography when it's blatantly obvious that this picture was taken in a lighthearted spirit and celebration, with no intent to even show the "private" areas.

Wikipedia David by Michelangelo and see if there is a disclaimer for pornography to see the page, then re-evaluate your perspective on this picture.

And @108 - Matt, you were offended by a pic/video that showed women's ankles? I'm sort of lost for words here.......LOL

Very damn ungrateful

Comment #200 - Posted by: Ted at December 29, 2010 9:49 AM

@Leah, a majority of Hero WODs are Marine Infantrymen, Army Infantrymen, and Special Operators- all of whom were a CrossFitter or one to two degrees of separation from a CrossFitter. Look at the 38 Hero WODs named specifically for military members who have lost their lives in combat (not including brave first responders and the Lumberjack 20) and compare them with the statistics of combat deaths. I'm not discounting women's role in combat, but 113 women compared with 4570 men (based upon the accuracy of current statistics) have given their lives in combat. That's 0.8%, if my math is correct, of all men who died in combat having a Hero WOD in their honor. So, you're correct in saying that it is not statistically equal- that statistic works out to about 1 workout in the name of equality, I suppose; however, should a workout be named in honor of a woman who was not a CrossFitter or known well by a CrossFitter, to me that would seem more than a bit patronizing. That does not discount nor devalue their sacrifice, it's just a fact, so is the fact that women currently cannot serve as Special Operators nor infantrymen (though some women do see the same action as their combat arms brothers). If they were a CrossFitter or a CrossFitter who was close knew one of those great women who lost their lives recommended to HQ to name a workout in their honor, I'm certain she'd have a Hero workout in her honor... note the naming of "Amanda" at the 2010 Games to appropriately honor 2009 Games Participant and veteran Amanda Miller's untimely death. Great point, but I wanted to clarify why Hero WODs are named the way they are and compare it with actual mathematical statistics, as numbers do not lie. Incidentally, that was Amanda in the picture on the Main Site that an earlier commenter rightfully states represents the human form in natural action.

Really couldn't give a rip about the pic, other than their ability to hold at the same level for the pic to be taken. Well done!!!
However, my point is regarding several comments towards HQ for deviating from their original focus. Well folks it is all about constantly, varied movements and we should chalk this up as the same. Sure the hero and wod pix inspire and educate us, but this obviously taps into some other area of our brains and personalities (ie. the Frederic Chopin post). It seems to me that HQ is just following their plan accordingly. To some, this is nudity (although I'm not quite sure how that is, given that it is only the back that is visible), and to others it is athletic success, and everything in between.
Well done CrossFit. Can't wait to see what the hopper brings next!!!!!

Slaughter (#194), just trying to recommend burqas for female wear without coming out and saying it. ;) Maybe the people that object should move to the middle east, much less offensive material there and not quite the freedoms that we enjoy (or some don't enjoy so much) either.
I have to say, one of the best comment days I've seen on the site. I'm glad people are offended. It would be much less entertaining if they weren't.

I find the photo utterly replusling. Crossfit is about fitness. Not about half naked women trying to be in photo to get on the website. I'm disappointed in crossfit.com with their choice in photo.

At least these women actually look like they have more than 2 max rep pull-ups. It seems a more honest representation of Crossfit than the last scrawny chic.

And look on the bright side, Dave Lipson was shirtless in the human overhead video--that seems fair to me.

I think the only reason people feel that these women are being objectified is because they are attractive. Had they thrown some chunky butts up there I'd bet this thread of comments would be a lot less serious.

My curious side would like to see 5 shirtless dudes up tomorrow so we can compare the comments and make fun of all the people who live by double standards.

The United States and the middle east are the only places I've been that are terrified of the human body. Lets go USA, lets not be like the middle east.... that place is depressing.

It should be a class 3 misdemeanor to not hold these women with the highest respects. I'll go to Virginia, take the bar, and prosecute. Nice pic! Honestly, I don't see a problem with the pics, gratuitous or not. I just wish that on top of the gratuitous women pics, we could get some gratuitous pics of men - hey, that's just how I roll. It seems the pics of men, however attractive, are just functional pics, as though men can only be functional and not simply nice to look at. I'm sure I am in the minority of posters here, but hey, men are nice to look at too! :-)

If you enjoy pictures like this one or even more provocative pictures, you have the rights and freedom to do so. There are probably millions of websites that can appeal to that. You can go to those sites and then come back and still enjoy crossfit the same way you always did. If you are a person who has a strong belief in honoring your wife, staying pure with your eyes and your mind by only enjoying your wife (Go ahead start making fun of me), and crossfit continues to post pics like this, then you have to make a choice. Stop coming on here or put up with it. To stop posting pics that could be viewed as provocative (I wouldn't call this pornographic) wouldn't hurt anyone. But to continue would be to alienate those with beliefs against it. Ok, insert insult here______________

PS You can show the female form and the results of her hard work pertaining to her body without her being topless.

Comment #231 - Posted by: Josh at December 29, 2010 8:04 PM

Funny, I don't feel objectified and I was in the picture.

First, thanks for all the kind words from most folks. Couple of comments on what (else) has been posted:

We took the pic as a tounge-in-cheek response to the drama caused by the original photo (and props to her). It wasn't about taking our shirts off to get on the main page, it was about having a sense of humor.

I'm in awe of the comments from people that were appalled by the photo -- in no way can you see anything that isn't PG-13, and I'm not sure how that is inappropriate. I bet you'd see more of a woman's body on the beach or at the pool.

Regarding the comments that we should stop sexualizing women because some can lift more than men, that Crossfit should be about fitness, or that we should celebrate accomplishments and not looks -- last I checked, I lift more than many of the men at my gym. I'm proud of my CF accomplishments, both as an athlete and a trainer -- having placed in my Sectionals, qualified for Regionals, competed on a Regional Affiliate Team, and trained other Regional competitors. I'm strong and good at what I do, but I am also proud of how I look (because I work hard at what I do) and don't see any reason I should be afraid to celebrate that.

Further, I'm amazed that some are willing to judge a person's morals, level of class, or value based on a picture in which you can see nothing more than you would in a bathing suit. It doesn't matter whether anyone has tops on -- you can't see anything you shouldn't. Would you consider a photo posted in a bathing suit trashy?

Finally (and this is really the only reason I'm posting), I'm so proud of these ladies and of the fact that I (and the rest of our awesome team) contributed to their training. They are strong, beautiful women that are proud of what they can do and are not embarrassed of who they are. I've watched them celebrate accomplishments they never thought they would have, and tackle new challenges with dedication and intensity. If I had a daughter, these are just the kind of confident, capable women I would be happy for her to know, bare backs or not.

Comment #232 - Posted by: Erika PCF at December 29, 2010 8:34 PM

Awesome work Erika and Potomac CrossFit! Your picture is one of hundreds that I have seen that help motivate me everyday to become a faster stronger higher work capacity crossfitter! The sense of humor is spot on and theres nothing "morally reprehensible" about it unless you're uncomfortable with some well muscled backs. What a great reminder that right before 10 or 20 minutes of hell begins we can all share a chuckle before 3,2,1 go! I told my girlfriend the story of the first picture and the whiners and showed her the "embracing the buff" article on crossfit oakland followed by your reply video and she loved it! Okok I have to chime in on this. To all those out there that think there is "sex " in this picture...because the American society has associated boobs with sex....bite me to all! Boobs does not equal sex. YOUR CHOICE to perceive this as a "sexual" picture is your CHOICE. I think these women are gorgeous. Not "hot, sexual, mislead, disturbed, sinful etc..." and on top of it, I am a very strong Christian Man. I pray out loud with my clients before each class.

If you continue to allow yourself to associate boobs with sex and consider women objects for sex, that is your choice. If you can't say something nice, shut up.

Comment #236 - Posted by: body-mechanic at December 30, 2010 5:06 AM

F/31

First off, the ladies are so hot. Women doing pull-ups is hot with or without clothing. I agree with the comment that the human body is the most beautiful thing created. I do think this is a little played out. There are many ways to show how amazing the men and women of CF are. One of my favorite things is watching men row. I love seeing all the muscles in the back. Amazing. This is no different. We should appreciate our bodies and all they put up with. :) Strength is sexy in both men and women. The ladies that have an issue with this should keep in mind that we stare at the men with nice abs and backsides too. And we make comments that could be considered degrading to them. So, love your skin. We should all appreciate the hard work that goes into our training and be proud of our accomplishments.

To the ladies in the pics: You are all beautiful and strong. Keep kicking butt!

Comment #237 - Posted by: babs at December 30, 2010 5:50 AM

Hey, I love T&A as much as the next guy, but: It's OBVIOUS that this pic is about female toplessness. Otherwise why wouldn't these women be wearing what they normally wear when they train in public?

I'm a little embarassed for folks who try to justify the pic on "elite fitness" grounds, or who get all self righteous about the imagined legions of "prudes" and "haters". That's the whole point of the pic: to stick it to the folks who objected to the pic from from 16 Dec. ie, the folks who were so heretical as to criticize the prevailing majority viewpoint or the decisions made by those in authority (heaven forbid!).

Comment #238 - Posted by: bigTXbob at December 30, 2010 6:00 AM

I think there's been enough toppless pix on main site. My teenage daughters and son are avid CF'ers, and they ought to have a decent and wfs main site experience. There's plenty of other places this could be posted rather than main site if you feel that it must be posted at all. Thanks, John Clark, affiliate owner.

Comment #239 - Posted by: John at December 30, 2010 6:19 AM

For the record, my girlfriends and I have never worked out topless. In fact, I've never seen any females work out topless. Please let's not turn this into a soft porn site. I've got tweenage boys who look at this site to do the KIDs workout. I can appreciate a beautiful body, but I just don't think this is the place with the site catering to children, as well as adults.

Comment #241 - Posted by: apregont at December 30, 2010 6:45 AM

I get it, the women's backs are strong and muscular. All the women I work out with at my gym have beautiful backs and strong arms too - we're just too busy actually doing pullups to get a posed picture of it! that's completely dismissing the fact that NO ONE works out topless. we're in competition with other men and women, not trying to show off how hot our bodies are.

Comment #242 - Posted by: Blair at December 30, 2010 6:56 AM

The point of this photo is female toplessness, not elite fitness or whatever. Otherwise, why not post a photo of women in their everyday workout attire; why make it a point to have them topless? Not that I mind nudity in the least, or that I think this is "porn" or indecent etc. But why make the "front page of CF" about female toplessness for its own sake?

Comment #243 - Posted by: bigTXbob at December 30, 2010 7:10 AM

I think Erika is right. I also think the cultural context is relevant, and that includes folks like Papa and Sparta1. The context includes Erika and thousands of other women and men who won`t be saddled with Papa's and Sparta1`s BS, and can view the naked back of a female athlete without objectifying her. Others (myself initially) fear that a picture like this makes it easier for guys like Papa and Sparta1 to dismiss female strength as a beside-the-fact-add-on-to their own banal, worn-out conception of sex; makes it easier (despite these athlete`s best efforts) to maintain the status quo. Historically speaking, it is very early days for female and male equality in sport, arts, science, business, politics etc. A lot of growing pains are yet to be felt, but grow we must, and to my mind these women (and the other women who refuse to acknowledge gender boundaries in the gym) are doing a good deal to help us all grow. Hopefully one day, a journalist will dig up a faded photo of an American woman doing a pull-up (topless, sports bra, whatever) and the women will happen to be the president of the United States, and the popular culture will say matter-of-factly: hmm, guess she was an athlete. (Papa and Sparta1 will pull their Snuggies tighter, swallow their last mouthful of potato chips and rootbeer and fall into the dustbin of history).

Josh with all due respect. I pray too and I read my bible, but not as much as I should. But I am pretty sure in the beginning God did not make us wear fig leaves in the garden of Eden it was only after they bit the apple they wore them. If you find a human back provactive maybe maybe maybe you should look inside not out?

But, I live in a glass house and I try not to throw stones, I am sinner so I try not to judge others. I will leave to my betters to judge, in the meantime did I say I like this pic?

I just not sure if it is because the Ladies are so fit?

3. I love crossfit
4. My wife (a stay at home mom) loves crossfit
5. My wife and I tell other people about crossfit
6. Some of those people would be offended and never go back to the web site.
7. Posting these pictures and having a discussion about them will not change a person's mind one way or the other. They will continue to either be offended or not.
8. It would behoove crossfit to not show these pictures and not alienate people.
9. I love crossfit.

Comment #259 - Posted by: Mike Erickson at December 31, 2010 11:11 AM

First off at CrossFit we don't work out to fit an image or look a certain way. We train to for faster times and heavier weights. Our bodies take the shape it needs to take in order to perform the task we want it to. However, looking and feeling better is a benefit of our hard work.

We empower women by not objectifying them and their bodies... in my opinion this picture is in no way degrading to women. Most girls can't do a single pull-up let alone hold it for a picture. These girls are ripped, they are strong, they are beautiful.

Isn’t this picture the most beautiful antithesis to objectifying (like a typical T&A shot) women? It is interesting to me that women with strong backs can provoke such fear. What are we really afraid of here? Women’s physical strength or the mental potency Crossfit offers? I suspect it is both. Oh Jenni (comment #69), this is so not selling sex. This is pure power. No wonder some people are running scared. To those who fear the power of women, grow a backbone. Better yet, build a strong one. It will do wonders for your mind.

Very disappointed with CF and how most of the pictures with women in them are snaps with women in as little clothing as possible and trying to look hot. It is not just this picture that is annoying it is 98% of the pictures of women that CF main site post. CF states that it is a form of exercise for anybody but they sure don’t post pictures of just any crossfitters.

"What God has joined, let no man separate."--Jesus

Jesus said, " And he said to his disciples,"Temptations to sin[a] are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come! It would be better for him [her--it's a gender-neutral him]] if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin. Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, 'I repent,' you must forgive him." Luke 17:1-4

" You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery.' But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart." Matt 5:27,28

"Jesus stood up and said to her [the woman caught in adultery], "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?" She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you; go and FROM NOW ON SIN NO MORE."[emphasis mine]

"Again Jesus spoke to them, saying,"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life"
John 8:10-12

To those who disagree, no doubt you will call me dogmatic, narrow minded, unsophisticated, prudish, etc. I will interpret those comments in light of the following: "With respect to this they are surprised when you do not join them in the same flood of debauchery, and they malign you; but they will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. For this is why the gospel was preached even to those who are dead [Those who were martyred for their faith], that though judged in the flesh the way people are, they might live in the spirit the way God does." 1st Peter 4:1-6

Those not offended by the picture have given their justification as to why they like the picture: Basically it's natural and the women worked hard.

My reasons for disliking this photo is that the sexuality of a man or woman is a sacred thing for them and their spouse alone. Their affections and sexual attention are for them and their spouse alone. I seek to guard my eyes from looking at other women with sexual desire because where the eyes go the heart follows, and I love my wife, so I want my eyes and affections going to their rightful owner, her. Not to another women. Since sexuality is both natural, and beautiful in a marriage between a man and woman the way God intended, this is a strong temptation. It's been rightly named "every man's battle,” because men are known to be more stimulated visually. Every bit of modesty from others helps me keep that commitment. to my wife.

Ladies, it's as if some strange man walked up to you and whispered sweet nothings in your ear in front of your husband--neither of you would or should stand for that. That's why the responses from both men and women are so strong--images mean something, they convey a message. The image is seen as an invader, a homewrecker seeking to destroy a covenant between you and the one you love. Addressing the double-standard of men going topless--men, cover your pecs. I'm not saying anyone should wear a bhurka. I am saying that every bit of modesty from others helps me keep my commitment to my wife. Since marriage between a man and a woman is the building block of the family and the family is the building block of civilization, anything that tears away at the marriage commitment of two people, is destructive to the family, which is destructive to the foundations of our society.

quoting post from #260, you said it very well, Bill

"All personal opinions aside....let's just state the facts...
1. Some people are offended by these pics
2. Some people are not
9. I love crossfit."

Interestingly enough, if there is no difference between a man working out topless and a woman working out topless and it's no big deal, then why won't the woman face forward for those pictures?

If we are going to defend the pictures based on fairness, equality, and consistency (the men do it so why can't the woman), then anyone defending the pictures should have no issues with the pictures being taken from the front (to show other muscle groups/core being worked). In fact, out of fairness and consistency, they should demand they be taken from the front and the back.

You know, what I have always loved about CF is that no one is there checking me out, I'm not checking them out, etc. The pics used to be motivational about how amazing our bodies can be when we fuel them correctly and train them properly. This just sinks to a ridiculous level that I had assumed CF was above. If you have a problem with topless girls in shape posing for these pics you're a feminist or a jerk. I want to see pics about FITNESS and FUNCTIONALITY, not something that combines CF and sexuality. That's not why I CF and I used to think that was why most other people CF. Maybe I'm the only one. What a shame.

I simply don't have the time to read ALL the comments, but the hundred or so I did read were amazingly good and bad, so here's my 2 cents....

I see more skin than that on ABC family so shut the hell up about porn!!!! If they are wearing pasty's (sp?) does that make it ok????

HQ - do a photo like this everyday for a month (cause I'm sure plenty would submit) and get rid of all these wimps who use the website to blog, b*tch, and complain.

Get Fit and love it. That's what I do.

So #265, Chris, does your wife wear make-up?? Because according to your theory she probably shouldn't. Otherwise she is trying to get attention from other eyes by making herself look better. You're ridiculous!!!
