Ahah, those crazy Swedes.
Go barefoot!
holy god. i did DT for 3 rounds the other week in 3:54. i have a new hero, her name is Annie T.
These times are incredible, great work ladies!
Awesome pic. Thank you to all serving over there.
Rarely do we get to see Annie T on the main site doing a WOD. downloading now!
Can I just say I want a 2011 calendar w/ just Annie pics every month...

Stupid question: is the alternate 105# just arrived at in the usual way (% of bw)?

@ #13 Why are her dl's horrendous? I don't see any back rounding.
Annie's dl were fine! I thought that was a legit wod...she smoked it! Way to go Annie!
Annie T,
Will you marry me?
I almost forgot how gorgeous, fit, and badass you were.
Thank you CFHQ for putting her on here again.
That is the fastest DT I have ever seen.
She had a perfectly executed game plan with the 11 pulls rest+1 8 PC rest+1 6 jerks repeat
I thought the dl could be better as well! If you pause it you can see her butt needs to be dropped a bit to pull her shoulders back, keep in mind though it was light weight for a dl.
RIP DT.. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

1) What's the vehicle in the photo? It is definitely not a Humvee. I want one!!!

Hey Walter...Rocky didn't go to russia in Rocky III. It was Rocky IV. Rocky III was when he fought Clubber Lang(Mr. T)
@22
It looks close to an American MATV, but significantly smaller.
http://www.militarynewsnetwork.com/military-news/news1062.htm
Humvees were replaced due to their obvious flaws in IED protection which they were never designed to withstand. Humvees aren't even allowed off the FOBs anymore here in Afghanistan if MATVs are available. Still, they get blown to hell at times. The funny thing is that other countries like Sweden here have had V-hull designed trucks for awhile now and the U.S. has only recently (last 3-4 years) gotten on board.
But yes that was the song from the Rocky IV soundtrack when we trained in the snow in the USSR.

Hey, I just started working out after mostly being inactivce for about 2 years, Im 18 5'11 203lbs and Bodyfat % is 22% I've been doing CF for the past week to the best of my abilities and I did yesterdays work out ending with 10Tabata score and 9:05 for the mile. Im just wondering if thats a decent starting point? Any tips with running would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Preston
Let me offer EXPERT help; the song in question is Robert Tepper's "(There's) No Easy Way Out" which is featured in the montage (yes, montage) where Apollo is killed by Drago in Rocky IV. It was Tepper's only Top 40 hit and the source of today's Crossfit debate...until now. It wasn't a TRAINING video from Russia, rather a "Rocky gets upset and drives off in his sports car" video. I hope this helps...

"My guess is that for most people who have concerns about [GMO's], their concerns are based on the question of whether we are going to use these technologies wisely, whether we have the wisdom to keep up with our scientific capabilities. And their have been enough precedents when humanity has at best muddled through the application of new technology in ways that are sometimes frightening, nuclear technology being the most obvious example."

CFWU-3 from home. Superman. No HSPU 3rd. Burgener.
17:22
Decent but not o/s job of pushing. HPC toughest - grip esp. Much easier when legs straight, arms high & wide. Allows hip to get open. Jerks not too bad, esp when I would get good 2nd dip under the bar.

I have admit that my heart wasn't in it getting going. I'm feeling a little worn, so getting warmed up was slower than I like.... It was still a good one. I think there is a sub 12 in me if I cen get a little more time with weight overhead to get my wrists comfortable with it again. All this time WODing in a regular gym is hurting my OLY and overhead work....

Scaled to 115 - 13:00
Last time was at 13:20 so I'll take this as a win since I missed the past 3-4 weeks at year-end with the holidays and all. Prior to taking some time off, I was hitting pr's on most of the benchmarks, so I'm happy that this wod didn't reveal too much deterioration. Eitherway, it was really good to be back.
DL's were easiest part like last time, so I went a lot faster, this time it was atoss-up bt HC and PJ for what was more difficult. PJ's were definiteley turning into PP's after the initial rounds.
23:22, hpcs toughest, all sets broken. pjs also broken, mostly 4 and 2 but also 3 and 3. A nice pr of about 4 mins.

what a weight :S heavy!!
Hey so I'm completely new to crossfit. I'm 6'3" 245lbs. I've traditionally altered between bodybuilder and strongman style training methods but I'm very interested in trying crossfit. My question is if I'm supposed to alter the weight I use for this workout? And if so how do I do it? Is it based off of BW or is it based off of your 1RM? I'd appreciate the feedback. Thanks guys!
