Comment #3 - Posted by: Amykr F/38/5'9"/145 at October 22, 2010 5:30 PM

Standard height is 10'/20# for men and 10'/12# for the ladies.

Comment #4 - Posted by: Heath at October 22, 2010 5:36 PM

what squat depth? Looked in the video like squats were not below parallel.

Brian R., what the heck is "whinges"? How about we just post our times and any helpful hints and not try to make it any more than that?

Can't do the workout as RX'd. I wish I could but there are no 20 lb balls in our Strength Center and I would probably get yelled at for throwing them if we did. So sub of thursters for me. Which is more effective barbell or dumbell thrusters?

#9~ glad I could help! You absolutely blew me away with your 25# ball!!

Wall ball height at 20# was 9.5' (there were a few that hit 9' and I did not take them away from myself!). Squat depth is hip crease below the knee.

#4~ you are correct with the men's ball weight. Women usually use 14# in a WOD and competition.

Visiting home today, so I worked out at CrossFit Impulse in Madison, AL. WOW, what a big difference working out at a box makes! It really pushed me to go 110%.

I hit the wall ball like a champ, but I'm being betrayed by the pull ups. I'm trying to learn the butterfly kip in the interest of efficiency, but I think I'm doing a bit too much with my legs.
Back to the drawing board, or the video section, I go.

Subbed WB shots for 30lb thrusters.

Just getting back from injury (caused by being a little over optimistic with heavy thrusters), so relatively chuffed (English for happy) with the time.

Hands still torn up from prev. WOD, subbed 40lb dumbbell for wallball. Kipping pullups, had to stop for a couple questions from curious onlookers. Love these couplets to push myself with. Found myself with unbroken wb's and very weak hand endurance for the pullups

Lost butterfly after round 4. normal kip for 5 and 6, then forced butterfly for round 7, so I think this would have been at least 20 seconds faster with someone to race with.

8:10.Wallballs were relatively easy-not to be overstated though. I did pull ups on the rings which I feel slowed me down considerably as opposed to doing them on a bar. I have noticed I am dropping a few pounds also. Could it be merely a coincidence that I also did my first ever Muscle up on the rings today?!?!?! Finally! After three years! I warmed up and finally got a muscle up, then about 5 more-resting between each one. So Proud!! I feel like I am truly a legitimate crossfitter now!Bethany I love you!

I was shooting for under 6, but I'm happy with this. All rounds unbroken, and only had a couple of times where I found myself waiting (gasping) before jumping onto the bar. I haven't done a ton of pull-ups this fall, so I was very pleased to get through these unbroken. This sort of felt like a longer, lighter version of Fran. Middle rounds were the hardest because of the mental drain. By the time I got to the last round, I felt like I was already on a high, b/c I knew the end was so close.
