Thank you for the early post and for what looks like a good, challenging wod.
Thank you Coach, for the chance to honor a hero.
Thank you SSgt. Davis - RIP
Joey, Nice bro!
Brothers speed Sgt. Davis... We got the watch.
First there...
Plenty of time to think about this one.
Sucks that there has to be another new Hero WOD...will certainly go all out in SSgt. Davis' honor.
"Each Warrior wants to leave the mark of his will, his signature, on important acts he touches. This is not the voice of ego but of the human spirit, rising up and declaring that it has something to contribute to the solution of the hardest problems, no matter how vexing!"
R.I.P. Tim
Wow tough one..I will definitely try it this afternoon!
To honor a fellow Airman, I will do this as my first prescribed "Hero" WOD.
R.I.P. SSgt Davis
Definately going to hit this WOD hard for the fallen. It kinda makes me forget all about how bad my hands hurt, because it could be so much more worse. Good luck everyone!
hate to see yet another Hero WOD. will give it everything shortly.
RIP Tim
You and your family are in my prayers. Your sacrifice is appreciated more than words can express.
All out on this one tomorrow.
This looks like a good WOD, but I hate to see a new 'hero' workout.
Quinn...all WODs are scaled by clicking on "Start Here" and then clicking "Brand X" which will send you to a website that scales the weights appropriately.
Gonna be a tough one! I'm still feeling the Total from three days ago!!!!! Time to hit it hard.............
Another hero wod, another angel watches over us. I will hit this one hard tomorrow, and I'm honored by the Staff Sergeant's sacrifice. I hope the good Lord watches over his wife and son.
Thanks for the post guys. Crossfit has done so much for the operators at our unit. Tim will be missed. Rest assured we'll hit hard. Hooyah, first there, that others may live!
Rest in Peace USAF SSgt Timothy P. Davis.
When you look at these hero WODs the first impression is wow GREAT!! But inmediatly a deep sadness and a silence to think and pray for this lost
I'm not well from my shoulder but i'll hit this workout to honored this hero...
Rest in peace
Big hugs to the FRAT...
Sad to see another hero workout. RIP.
SSgt Davis, thank you for your service. Rest in peace. We are forever indebtted to you.
Will give it all I got tomorrow to honor a fallen hero. Nice WOD Coach.
When a Hero WOD is posted, I workout thinking about what was done FOR me. I really push past/through discomfort and just buckle down. While I would like to do this at a heavier weight, I still need to be mindful of not making this delt situation worse... I will go lighter and make it FAST. Gonna do it 75# OR maybe do Mr.Joshua, Michael or Griff. Game time decision, methinks.
Howdy to my FRAT peeps, thanks for missing me :) No my finger is NOT broken! Makes a silly story- DL 215, jam finger slamming 2.5 plate onto one end of the bar (think about kicking something solid with your toe, thats what it felt like)I howled with pain (meanwhile I just lifted a ridiculously HEAVY bar off the ground and my eyes watered from jamming my finger-pain is a funny thing)PR DL @ 220
My finger is swollen like a vienna sausage, and was hurting like bejeebies. Better now. Had it xrayed, soft tish injury -groan-
Holy early post!
This is going to be my first time back in the gym in roughly three weeks. Will probably scale it down, as I lost TONS of muscle being in the academy (the workouts don't do much of anything). But a crossfit body out of shape is still better than anything else there.
We had our physical fitness mid-terms today. Although I have been out of action for the past month, I still outscored everyone in push-ups, vertical jump, and sit-ups. I also finished in the top 5 for the 1/2 mile shuttle run.
Keep up the good work everyone!
I can't wait to take this on! Before CrossFit, I never looked forward to a workout at the gym. Now I'm obsessed with it. CF changed my life! Thanks to all!
I will give it all I got tomorrow for SSGT Davis. Thank you Coach.
SSG Wright
Sorry I whined about my finger up there and crowed over PR. Rather trite comments for a hero. I'm in.
I hate that there is a need to have new Hero workouts, but I think that it is a testement to Coach, and the community that we choose to honor these fallen heroes in this way. I'll see how much of this I can do tomorrow.
I dont know if i can do this as Rx'd, but for a fellow AF'er, I sure as hell am gonna try
RIP, SSgt Davis.
My prayers are with your wife and son. May they find God's peace, comfort, and understanding through this difficult time.
Thank you to all those in the Armed Forces protecting the freedoms we all enjoy.
Phil 4:13
Rest In Peace SSgt Davis. My prayers are with his family, friends, and teammates.
Rest in Peace Staff Sergeant Davis. Thank you for the brave service for our country.
Also thanks to all the women and men serving, you are a great source of inspiration. Keep up the good work!
Wow...RIP Brother. Tomorrow will be for you and your sacrifice.
Best wishes to friends and family of our fallen brother.

RIP I will give it my all. My prayers are for all our brothers and sisters in harms way and for their family.
On the road with only a chinup bar and a treadmill. Please send suggestions for a workout. I have seen the comprehensive workout list for bodyweight exercises. Should I just choose a workout off the list? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

RIP Tim - this looks like a great workout
I have a Love/Hate relationship with the hero WOD's.

I don't post here much, but I can't help to send my prayers to the Sgt's Family. My brother, Army Sgt. Philip Witkowski was killed May 1, 2004 in OEF. He as well left behind a wife and children. It is so tough. Thank you Sgt Davis and R.I.P.
I love hero WODS but hate when we get new ones. RIP SSgt Davis.
This looks like a great, but tough WOD. I cant wait.
Hit this hard everyone!
RIP SSgt Davis. Its always an emotional tug of rope whenever we get a Hero WOD. The most upsetting part is no matter how hard we train we cannot bring back the fallen. But what we can do is train past the point of no return so that we can live to fight and make sure our hero's do not die in vein. Hooyah.
Thinking of you Megan and your 1 year old child. May time do for you what no words can while you dig deep and learn to live again.
Moments like these put what REALLY matters in life into perspective.
Like "MURPH" and others this one gets 110% effort.

I hate seeing new hero WODs. I will do my best to honor his memory.
RIP SSgt Davis.
man this looks like a doozie. will do it later in the week.

Hi Stephen!!! If you have Bar you can hit
"Cindy"
5 pull-ups
10 push-ups
15 squats for 20 minutes max rounds
Or 10 rounds:
12 burpees
12 pull-ups
or 21-15-9
Handstand push-ups
Knees to elbow
Burpees
Pull-ups
Let me know if you want another bro
Rest in peace my brother. I will see you in Vahalla, where the brave may live forever.
"First There...That Others May Die..."
S'more:
Thanks a ton bro. So I can't do handstands yet, much less handstand pushups, so that means I need to work on my static handstand against the wall!! I'm gonna grab some burpees, pullups, knees to elbow, and headstand holds for between 20 - 25 minutes. (I'll let you know tomorrow how it went.) I'll want to switch it up for Wednesday and Thursday though, and I'll still be limited on equipment, so keep the ideas coming bud! Thanks again so much.
Stephen M/25/5'9"/135
I would just like to thank the creators of crossfit. I became hooked towards the end of my deployment overseas. This programs has immensely helped me both physically and mentally during the very tough transition from active duty to civilian life. I will be a subscriber for life!
P.S. lets see more "Murph", by far my favorite.
You know I was in the USMC many years ago it seems now and I never get tired of seeing how the armed services pull together when it matters. There may be inter-branch competition, that is honorable, but we all love our fellow brothers in arms. The Marine Corps was the hardest times of my life, but I would never trade it for all the money in the world. I love our country and hope we can pull ourselves together during these times. I hope everyone will remember those who are putting there lives on the line for us. Semper Fi and may God Bless America. USMC 1989-1995
#44 Stephen:
In addition to S'more's suggestions, there's also Angie and Nicole
Angie:
100 pullups
100 pushups
100 situps
100 squats
Nicole:
400m run
max rep pullups
AMRAP in 20 mins
Safe travels,
Chas
RIP SSgt. May G-d look over your family. New hero WODs aren't fun to see. Going to hit this hard, not flying tomorrow, reduced hours.
Stephen you can also do
100 Burpee pull-ups, for time.
Good video of Greg doing them in the Exercise demos.
Just do a burpee and then in the jump do a chest to bar pull, repeat. Or you could do
Nancy - 20min AMRAP
400 m
Max Pull ups
Or to do a HERO WOD on a HERO WOD day you could do Murph
1 mile run
100 pull ups
200 push ups
300 air squats
1 mile run
Just some ideas, hope they help.
Thanks Ken. I am still waiting to see the post on brand x doc ;)

It belongs to the city which gives us all we have and demands no less in requital." From Gates of Fire, an account of the Spartans. Rest in peace brother.

RIP
Stephen change the handstands do regular push-ups do them fast but strict that means chest and chin to floor to full extension
Rest in peace. God bless you and your family.
Quinn, we usually use the following schemes (men/women): 45/35, 75/55, 95/65, 115/80, 135/95, 155/105, 225/155.
So the women's weight I'd recommend is 105#. Good luck!
Stephen, You know, forget what i said, hit "Angie" that's
100 pull-ups
100 push-ups
100 sit-ups
100 squats
You have to finish all the reps of an exercise to move to the next one i LOVE that workout
Stephen, CHIMBO have better ideas i though you can't run bit if you can hit "Murph"
Good one CHIMBO

I guess I was stupid enough to think I wouldn't see another new Hero WOD - Sir, may God bless and keep you and yours in a warm and loving light.
clat, if it's a power clean, no not a full squat.
#24 s'more ~ No bad english in those words of wisdom. Sending a group hug from the CF community to SSgt Davis's family -
#53 Fit Mom ~ I echo your sentiments. I can't find my own words...maybe because I'm trying to make sense of this tragic loss, and I can't.
I'll do my best tomorrow to honor CF's newest Hero.

God bless you SSgt Davis, and prayers with your wife, and child.
New hero WODs make us all remember just how little our day to day problems are, and just how bad things could be. I am 12 years in the Corps, and thak each one of my fellow service brothers and sisters, blees you all.
GySgt P
I hate these days... and love 'em too. I hate being reminded that we lost another one of the good guys, and I can't think of a better way to honor their life and sacrifice.
God speed, DT.
did a 2-a-day today in prep for the qualifier.. but saw this early post and since it was a hero WOD, chris and i had to do it.. did it as a partner workout - did 1 round, then chris went and did a round.. went back and forth like this for 5 rounds each.. total time for all 10 rounds (5 rounds each) was 17:42..did as Rx'd just had a built in rest while the other guy went.. Military Times: Honor the Fallen
Air Force Staff Sgt. Timothy P. Davis
Airman from Wash. dead in Afghanistan
The Associated Press
MONTESANO, Wash. — Air Force Staff Sgt. Timothy P. Davis, who grew up in Montesano, has been killed in the Oruzgan province of Afghanistan as the result of injuries received from an improvised explosive device.
The Daily World reported Air Force personnel delivered the news of Davis’ death to his mother, Sally Sheldon, at her home in Aberdeen on Friday. Davis’ father, Mike Davis, lives in Ocean Shores. Davis grew up in Montesano.
Timothy Davis had just turned 28 and would have been married for five years next month. He met his wife, Meagan, while training at Fairchild Air Force Base near Spokane. The couple had a 1-year-old son, Timmy Jr.
Meagan Davis told The Daily World by telephone from Spokane on Friday, “My breath has just been taken away. I am still in shock.”
Timothy Davis was assigned to Florida’s Hurlburt Field. He was with the 23rd Special Tactics Squadron.
Airman remembered at memorial service
The Associated Press
MONTESANO, Wash. — At the Montesano High School gymnasium, where he once excelled as a wrestler, Air Force Staff Sgt. Timothy Davis of Montesano was posthumously awarded a Bronze Star for valor and a Purple Heart.
The medals were presented Saturday to his wife, Meagan, of Spokane. The 28-year-old Davis was killed by a bomb Feb. 20 in Afghanistan.
Family, lifelong friends and military friends were among those who mourned his loss. Every bleacher and every chair in the gym was filled at the high school, where Davis graduated in 1999.
Davis was a member of the Air Force’s Special Tactics team, an elite group with only 300 members. At least 80 team members, in scarlet berets, came to pay their final respects.
In addition to his wife, Davis left a 1-year-old son, his mother, Sally Sheldon of Aberdeen and father Mike Davis of Ocean Shores.
Friends recall toughness, mental strength of fallen airman
The Associated Press
Matt Mensch said he and Timothy P. Davis were paired up in training in the Air Force. It was hard on him, Mensch said, because Davis was so good at everything. And while at first he thought Davis was something of a blowhard, he learned to respect his fellow airman.
“There’s a difference between being cocky and being competent,” Mensch said. “Whatever he did, he did it right.”
Davis, 28, of Aberdeen, Wash., died Feb. 20 near Bagram when his vehicle hit a roadside bomb. He was a 1999 high school graduate and was assigned to Hurlburt Field, Fla.
“He was, mentally, the strongest person I have ever known,” said Jesse Huggins, Davis’ best friend since Little League. “There are things that in life are so difficult, no one else is willing to volunteer for. He would.”
One of those things was the 800 meter race in track, which is notorious for being tough and was Davis’ preferred event. Huggins recalled seeing Davis throw up after many races, because he had pushed himself so hard.
Davis, who had previously earned a Purple Heart, is survived by his wife, Meagan, and year-old son Timmy Jr.
#84 - clat: From the FAQ
2.15. What's the difference among the clean (and snatch) types?
Squat clean aka Full Clean aka Clean = start from the floor, catch in a full squat.
Hang clean = start from the hang position (above or below the knees), catch in the full squat position.
Power clean = start from the floor, catch in a quarter or half squat position aka the power position.
Hang power clean = start from the hang position above or below the knees, catch in the quarter or half squat.
"Hang" describes where you start.
"Power" describes where you catch.
And, let us not forget the great Exercises & Demos page:

115s. Yeah, that should do it. These deadlifts are easy.

deepest thanks and gratitude for the service and sacrifice given by SSgt. Davis and his family. May we never forget or take for granted the freedoms we enjoy through the sacrifice of our men and women who serve.
Thought about this for 2 hours, and modified it for a 1-arm athlete, with the same power output in mind:
10 rounds for time of:
155 pound 1-arm Deadlift, 6 reps
80 pound (DB) 1-arm Hang power clean, 9 reps
80 pound (DB) 1-arm Push jerk, 6 reps

Push Jerks absolutely destroyed me. 5 minutes just for push jerks on my last round.
Had a dream the WOD was going to be Crossfit's first "do or die" parkour based workout. 32 minutes long, but I woke up before I got to see what it would be.
Would have been nice if it was true, as new hero workouts are never good news.
RIP my Air Force brother...
It's always tough seeing another Hero WOD. Rest in peace brother.

I was with Tim and he was a workout machine. Thanks for dedicating this to him. From all the men of ODA 3123.
Me and the boys from 14 div will be hitting this workout hard. Rest in peace brother.
I'm a featherweighter so I had to scale down the weights to 100 pounds but I got through it!
Awesome WOD if you ask me.
It's an honor to read about Staff Sgt Timothy P Davis. You can't ask more of a man than he stand between you and the bullets. He will never be forgotten.
To his wife, I am so sorry. To his son, always be proud.
Rest in peace, Warrior. Amen.
Hooyah, SSgt Davis, from another fellow Airman. Prayers offered today for the repose of your soul and for strength for your family.
From all the Balad Viper pilots, RIP brother Tim and God bless Meagan and little TJ.

Urk; 90# and still only did 3 rounds in 15 min. Embarassing, but a great WOD.
It is truly a sad day when you see one of your brothers as one of the Hero WODs.

First time posting... and first time of actually doing the HPC (killer). I have always been hesitant to do the HPC because of the complexity of the movement. I have completed my level 1 cert in Chandler, AZ and now feel comfortable to do the move. I pushed myself today, but I was more concern about form and it showed in my time. None the less feels good to be able to perform these movements with the confidence one gains after a cert. Thanks to CF Trainers for providing that!

Awesome quote, thanks Art. Paul
RIP SSgt Davis. I will do this WOD in your honor.
***Blessings Megan and TJ. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.***
Last days of vacation I hit in some Tabata work (366, not so good), swimming, and then on a huge trampoline on the ocean. I had all the kids out there trying to do handstands, and I did some back flips. Everyone thought I was my niece’s sister/ my sister’s daughter, thus making me giggle, my niece happy, and my sister not so much. But I was the only adult acting like a kid on the trampoline and the only adult lined up right beside my niece to get a few braid/ beads in my hair ;) So I am 30 and mistaken for 19, I’ll take it.

I was very excited when I saw this because it looked great and I had never done it before. Kicked my butt. The deadlifts were easy, but the Hang Power Cleans just ate my lunch. The push jerks were just there. Loved the workout!!
After two weeks on Crossfit, I am loving the feeling of accomplishing a WOD no matter how long it takes!

Hey guys,
Started crossfit 3 1/2 weeks ago after doing conventional lifting for the past 2 years after playing college football. After severe boredom with my workouts and definitely feeling a plateau effect my friend turned me on these workouts and I have been loving the intensity and the fact that each day is a competition against myself. I look forward to posting daily in the future and keeping up with the WOD's for years to come.

First true WOD today, scaled down to Puppy because I was being a coward.
Stopwatch screwed up so didn't get an exact time, but sub-4 minutes. Evidently NOT a Puppy - this is encouraging considering the amount of time I've toiled on and off with Starting Strength in several Globos. Tomorrow's workout at or near Pack scaling I think!

Total time: 52:57. I did Rx'd this. Considering my best clean was 135lb I think I did find. I have to say I was very proud of myself for doing this Rx'd and not scaling.
I have pretty bad hang power clean technique at the moment. I pretty much had to single all 9 for each round. By the 4th round my hand split open and had to stop and get some band aids. I think the bar I was using was all wrong. I think I took about 10 min patching up my hands as well.
Really technique and grip strength caught up with me on this one. I was very humbled today.

CFT from Sat was postponed due to the Pear Blossom run in Southern Oregon. I took a whopping 4 minutes off my 5k time! Thanks CF!
CFT was up 30 pounds, done yesterday.
Interestingly, my knees were trashed after the run, loose tendons and popping knee caps, really sore. So after yesterdays CFT obviously whole body tired and worked out, but my knees stopped hurting.? Any ideas why? I was thinking because the weight and pressure on the joint as opposed to the repetitive movement, and the muscles tightend back up? Please email any thoughts to my link.

Brutal wod. One of the most mentally difficult ones I have done in a while. Used 95# for all three lifts. D.L.s were easy. HPC with many singles and many failures. Wanted to drop down in wt after the 3rd round but pushed on. Stopped concentrating on the time just getting one rep at a time. Really wanted to make them true Hang cleans and not cleans from the floor, which I feel I could have gotten through so much faster. While my cleans have improved tremendously, hang cleans remain one of my many weaknesses! Kept thinking of our HERO, his wife and young son throughout the wod, and gave it my all. MUCH room for improvement: 24:20.

If I have to scale the Hang Power Cleans should I scale the other two even if I can do them? 155# on 1 and 3 should be very doalbe but that HPC is just too much for me as of yet. So - keep 1 and 3 as Rx'd and scale 2 or scale all three equally?

Very admirable of you to stick it out, as rx'd...and to proudly post your time - I'm ashamed to say I was considering not posting mine...until I saw yours.
I chose to go as rx'd (for females, 70% = 110#), and it took me 54:36. My limitation was also the HPCs (my form is not consistent due to lack of practice), and after the first round, I was pretty much 1-for-1 failed-to-successful attempts. I walked away from the bar several times, pissed as hell, but I *refused* to scale down, even as my workout partners sailed by me, finishing in 11:15 and 14:56.
Yes, the goal of our WODs may often be "for time" or "metcon" but sometimes, especially with these Hero WODs, what's most important is digging down and powering through even as we realize we've met our limits.
You certainly have my respect for pushing through to the end!!

I love the hero workouts, and every one of them deserve to be remembered in such a way as a grueling body-punishing workout that makes you thankful to be alive. But I'm curious; exactly HOW is a particular hero chosen to be a hero?
For example: five servicemembers have been awarded the nation's highest award for valor, the Medal of Honor, since the War on Terror began in 2003. Only one, Navy Lt. Michael Murphy, is recognized with a hero workout.
Maybe this is the Marine in me screaming, "Where are the Jarheads?" or maybe I'm wondering what makes any of the current hero workout heroes any more of a hero than the remaining four MOH recipients.
All I'm saying is that the Hero Workout list is missing Cpl Jason Dunham, PFC Ross McGinnis, MA2C Michael Monsoor, and SFC Paul Smith.
I'm not calling to question the heroism of any other servicemember, recognized or not, but both Marines and MOH recipients are underrepresented in the Hero Workouts.

yesterdays workouts tired me out:
Max push jerk then 21-15-19 135lb jerk, burpees plus a mountain climb
I hit today hard though. Unfortunately my watch stopped at around the 3rd round which when I completed round 3 I was at 10:45; that's about 3:35 per round, do that for 5 rounds and I calculated right around 18 minutes. I am impressed with the way the posters have chosen to tackle this workout. Some like me, chose to stick with one weight, others used multiple bars to either make the DL harder or work their HPC or PJ with better form.
Some chose to blow through it- dam^ the torpedoes, and others, not scaling- doing it as RX'ed, taking over 40 minutes, one rep at a time.
This is what I love about my CF fam. We're all different, we all walked up to this with varying plans, but with the same goal- DO THIS. Just like that. In caps. STRONG & FIERCE. A tribute.

If I need to scale one piece back, I usually just scale one part of it. I would increase the reps to make up for lack of work production, for example, today I did double the reps at half the weight for the HPCs and PJs with an 80# dumbbell.
Use 105# for the HPC, and do 12 reps.

Welcome, Benny. I like keeping the workload the same as if I were doing these WODs 2-armed and as Rx'ed. I'm neurotic about wondering if I'm still doing as much as I should on some WODs and this helps to ease my mind.

Thanks for the ideas today guys. I did for about 18 minutes - max rep pullups, same number of burpees, same number of pushups, same number of squat jumps. As I fatigued the pullup number went down, so I adjusted the other exercise down to match it. I was really already pretty tired from a full day of bridge inspections(walking up and down hills, along roadways, etc.)

Man, if i didn't have the grip of a fish i know i could definitely get sub-20 on this. Deadlifts were no problem whatsoever. HPCs really tested the hands/grip and a bit of my wrists tolerance for the racked position. And then the PJs were easy to get overhead, but i could barely hold that bar with the aching wrists. Oddly enough, my PJ form was the best on the last round as i did all 6 unbroken. Hopefully next time this comes up, my grip will have improved tremendously so I can do justice to SSgt. Davis.

How are "Hero" WOD's chosen? Those who are honored with these workouts share two characteristics. They are each first responders, the sharp point of the spear. They are also Crossfitters, known either to Coach or to those close to Coach as such.

just a question about grip and continuity:
how many of you are doing this workout without releasing the bar for a full 'round' ?
I ended up having to pull the 10kg bumpers off the end for scaling so it wasn't an option...then after the first round it really wasn't an option anyhow, since I had to stop else drop the weights during HPC. the 'claw grip' is not recommended.

Thanks for your thoughts Strong Lil Pony.
I read a lot of comments last night and really prepared mentally. At one point during the WOD this am, I kept on moving by telling myself that SSgt Davis did NOT stop to rest. That and fit mom x3 and fit mom's mom in my face helped get the job done. THANKS ;)
I went a bit light on the weight, intended to do 105 for DL but ended up with 95 by mistake of not double checking the bar first.
Tried 45 for the HPC and it was not happening (right arm just not there today) so went to 40 for HPC and PJ.
Even with lighter weight, this was TOUGH, form was good, probably weakest on the PJs, they are NOT my friend.

Really liked this Wod. Good Pain.
Gym was empty when we were warming up and setting up the bars and as soon as we stated lifting, these 4 eejits decided that they had to workout in and around us. They must have been blind and left there guide dogs outside. If they were not using their dumbbells right beside us, infront and behind us, they were standing watching and gererally getting in the way or when I nearly dropped the bar on my head again during a PJ they were passing comments like " are you sure this is beneficial to you" (P&*s off and go back to your dumbbells and tight shorts).

#807 after doing this WOD I to would think that there is ano way that someone could get 8:00 or better, however the guy that I work out with is a freak and if I had not seen it with my own eyes I would not have believed it... He did as Rx'd with full ROM on all lifts and got 7:45... He didn't break any of the sets and only took a 3 to 5 second "breather" after each set of deadlifts... It is possible and there are Fire Breathers out there that can do it. Don't be a hater... just try to get to where they are. Just because you can't do it yet (neither can I by the way 23:13 was my time) don't take away from those who are amazing atheletes!

On one of the push jerks I almost had to bail behind me. After I almost dropped the bar on his head, the dimwit finally decided to move away from the mirror. A forearm killer. My 6th week with CF, still learning olympic lifts, and weak still. Time was 21:10, did all 5 rds. Time sucked due to forearm burning tremendously. Used 115# for rds 1 & 2, then 95# the last 3 rounds. Never did HPC or PJ before, & wanted to avoid back trouble. Will try more next time. Great workout though.

?? I'm setting up my garage gym and there's a sale where I can buy standard 45lb barbells for $65/ea. (some globo gym closed...) Will this standard barbell work with bumper plate or is there something special about barbells made for bumper plates?? Seems like a good buy instead of $200-$300 for a new bar. Please comment, thanks.
