Learn the mechanics of fundamental movements; establish a consistent pattern of practicing these same movements, and, only then, ratchet up the intensity of workouts incorporating these movements. "Mechanics," then "Consistency," and then "Intensity" - this is the key to effective implementation of CrossFit programming.

The Only Easy Day was Yesterday!
Any recommendations if you are doing this at home? I don't have three bars! Thanks in advance for the help...Cheers!
I can't believe this happened today, when I'm 60 miles from a gym with olympic weights and 3000 miles from the friends I lift with. Was looking forward to this for a long time.
#7, thanks...I thought of that, but I don't have enough weight. I think I will have to pick a weight that I can do all three exercises with and use that. Thanks anyway...cheers!
What's the highest weight in DB you have, #8?
Raised the weight last time and suffered on time, this time I'm gonna' keep the weight the same and see how my time improves.
This is gonna hurt. Pukie, might be showing up...
ouch...might see some of that leftover turkey again....lovely.
will have to do this one later cuz my hands are still torn up from all the towel pullups.
Would there be any close subs no matter what the number for cleans?? Don't have a gym where i can do big movements without bumping something, any help would be great, nothin in the sub section for those...
#9 gaucoin, the highest I have is 50's...what are you thinking?
spk - You could always try single dumbell cleans, same number on each arm, you would have to drop weight obviously but you would have most of the clean there.
Can you clean a pair of DBs? If so, would you use a palms inward grip--as in the hammer position?
I have a sneaking suspicion someone named this after their ex-wife...hehehe no offense ladies...

this time: 45:09
DL broken into sets until 6
BP broken into sets until 5
CL broken into sets unitl 6
last time I did this I upped the weight on the deadlifts and cleans, and my time suffered for it. This time I use the same weight and dropped 15 min off my time. It's good to see progress. Next time "diane" shows up I will move the weight up.
BW : 70kg
WU : run to gym (6:15), dynamic stretching
Main: 16:40, with ~50% of scaling of weights
DL : 55 ; BP : 35 ; CL : 27.5kg (all power cleans from ground). I do not remember when I was sweating so much in my life
No broken sets, but some rest between the first 5 rounds. Note to self : leaving CFWU out to save time is false economy. Some squats and back extensions are essential for a good warmup and to avoid injury when doing deadlifts.
13:41 - 185# deadlifts, ring dips, 85# cleans. Bwt 114#. Off to work unexpected overtime...
Question: I'm pretty sure that I have overtrained on my bp. I benched yesterday. Should I attempt to do the workout today? or wait until the rest day?

#15 Charles: - You don't have room to CLEAN? Geesh, now THAT is a tight gym!
My gym formally does not allow cleans, c&j and snatch, but since none of the 19 year old staff knows what any of those look like, I've been doing them there for a couple months and have been ok so far.

Sbm,
It is a myth that you can't work the same body part/ exercise two days in a row. It does depend on the volume and intensity you are doing them at though. It also depends on how you feel, if you are sore take a day off, but if you benched heavy yesterday go at a lighter intensity today or use DB's.

Third CF workout ever. Still confined to tiny YMCA gym and no real olympic lift training so had to make some adjustments:
Alternated between DL (135lbs) and BP (135lbs) as Rx'd - I had to steal the only two bars to do this and one guy wanted to 'work in' on the deadlifts. Then I finished up with some 'easy' cleans: 5 sets of 5 with 75lbs. Wish I had a coach - I'm a little worried about doing these wrong so gotta be pretty conservative.

I can't wait until my weights/mats are delivered this week!!

Although I upped the weight and %BW, my time definitely suffered, where the last three times it had been similar even with upping the weight. This work out was a bear!

About 32min (forgot to start and stop but that was about right)
Best part of work out was when I finished seeing the faces of the Air Force folks around the Gym. One took over my Clean bar and said he didn't want any of what I was doing, way to hard! That mad the whole work out worthwhile, right there!

This was my first workout after coming back from a week+ holiday layoff. Don't have a bench, so did 2x pushups for each rx'd rep of bench (i.e. 20, 18, 16, etc.). Power cleans were at 135, Deadlift at 175. Bodyweight 210. I only have one bar, so I had to spend a lot of time adding and taking off weight. I ended up doing just the rounds from 10 to 6. I have to say that the speed workouts are frustrating in a commercial gym like mine. I can't set up 3 separate bars or stations because the equipment I'm not on will immediately be used as soon as I move to the next bar.
I feel like I'm always waiting, changing plates, trying to work in with some idiot who wants to use the only squat rack in the place to do shoulder shrugs he could do anywhere else in the gym.
Ok... enough crying...
