Cindy
Finished 18 rounds with 12 seconds to spare then I lay down and watched in anticipation for my heart to explode through the wall of my chest. In hindsight I guess I should have tried to fire off some pullups but the thought just didn't occur to me at the time. That's an improvement from just shy of 16 rounds last time I did this one in January so I'm happy about that. Kipping really helps the speed on the pullups, pushups are by far the weekest link.

Team Fallujah, making our triumphant debut on the site after wrangling with the web wonks and net nerds out here for over a month to get cf.com unlocked, for some reason it was firewalled. We're up and running now though, chose Cindy:

Gunner - 18 rounds +5+10+10
Capt S - 12 rounds +5+10+11

Comment #31 - Posted by: Gunner at April 9, 2006 8:27 AM

23+5+5 last time. Took it really slow on the squats working on keeping my knee tracking right. Squats were to parallel. Nice even pace all the way through.

Not sure if it was Cindy, the adult beverages last night, or the 2 week old lasagna I had at 0300 this morning that made me almost meet pukie by the end. Made a nice "Sweat Angel" afterward.

Steve HB- Strong work as always!

I figured out why Coach has us getting our Arrsssss's kicked by all the girls lately. I believe in nature, it's called "Thinning the herd". Hmmmm.... Just a thought.

Cindy, as prescribed.

I was too late to do the CrossPit workout so I did Cindy:

How many rounds can you do in 20 minutes
5 pullups
10 pushups
15 squats

This is the first time I've ever done Cindy at Brand X - ie kipping pull ups. I was able to do all the sets unbroken.

Pushups broken except for the first round.

Squats - no problem.

The kipping pullups really had me sucking wind right after the squats. The pushups, you'd think would give me a rest - intensity wise, but NO, I was still dying after them and had to rest before hopping up on the bar.

But hello, I am really getting my chest up to the bar on most reps. That rocks so hard.

8 rounds + 5 pull ups.

Cindy
10 rounds 5 pull ups

Same as last time except dropped assistance weight by 100lbs, all push-ups were full only last 4 sets broken, no broken squat sets.

pull ups 70lb assistance
push ups full, sets 5, 6, 7, and 8 broken
all squats unbroken except set 8 used b/w because there is a lot of it!

20 rounds. The gym was crowded.

13 rounds of cindy. When I started this a few months back, I could barely squeak out two pullups. Today I did all the pullups unassisted on a tree branch. Cross fit rules!

Joe and I did a modded vs of Cindy instead of the 10k run posted on the 11th. Instead of 5 pull-ups, did 10, instead of squats, did squat thrusters with dumbells.

Both of us hit 9 rounds, 10 pull ups and 10 push ups.

Comment #259 - Posted by: Anthony Utah at April 12, 2006 6:02 AM

Did 11 rounds of Cindy in the first 8 min, then had a call.

Comment #261 - Posted by: Steve T at April 12, 2006 6:50 AM

Hello everyone!

Well this is my first time doing this totally unassisted (I'm not counting little jumps). Which I was happy with but this made this harder than I had imagined. Was going to do Mary but did Cindy instead will try Mary on a rest day.

"Cindy"
Complete as many rounds in 20 minutes as you can of:
5 Pull-ups (added jumps after round three when i got stuck)
10 Push-ups
15 Squats

Rounds = 10

PB = 14 (with assisted pull ups)

Cindy

15 rounds + 5 PU's.

One more pullup than last time. Push-ups continue to be the weak link. Push-ups from the knees starting with round 13.

Did this Monday 4/10/06

CFWU x 3 (modified - 1 round normal & other rounds no dips of pull-ups)
BW = 220

"Cindy" = 17 rounds (working on 3 hours of sleep)

Comment #275 - Posted by: Ted Cam at April 12, 2006 7:19 PM

Cindy - 13 + 2 pullups. Down from last good Cindy, but kept better form. All pullups kipping- no jumpers. First 9 sets of pushups full weight, last 4 sets on knees (last time, 4 full weight and 11 on knees) Squats with good form, no assists.

Good effort, good results, good improvement.

Comment #276 - Posted by: Baron at April 12, 2006 8:18 PM

"Cindy" 22 1/3 rounds.

23 rounds feasible with maximum effort.

Comment #281 - Posted by: GregEv at April 13, 2006 7:48 PM

15 rounds of cindy. needed to jump assist on approx 40% of pull ups. will learn kipping when soreness is gone.

Comment #282 - Posted by: Joe-713 at April 13, 2006 7:54 PM

3 rounds of the CF w/u minus OH squats, pull-ups and dips, then 19 full rounds of Cindy (LOVE her!) using 60 lbs. on Chin Assist, plus 2 more pull-ups. Pushups were on hands and toes, squats were body weight, legs parallel to the floor.

Finally, I ran 3.5 miles on the treadmill after catching my breath from realizing I had just done 285 squats in 20 minutes. ;-)

Comment #283 - Posted by: Cyndi at April 14, 2006 6:47 AM

I just checked my time from the last time I did "Cyndi"...it was 20 rounds in 20 minutes, but I had 75 lbs. on the Chin Assist then. I only used 60 lbs. today and only fell short by 3 pull-ups. I'm so PSYCHED!!! This crossfit stuff must be working!

Comment #284 - Posted by: Cyndi at April 14, 2006 7:03 AM

17 times and 5 p/u. new p/u bar with no room for kipping, all p/u reg

Comment #285 - Posted by: Brett at April 15, 2006 9:24 AM

Did PU's on bar in neighbors yard
Talissa: 16 rounds
Thayer: 10 rounds (but accidentally did 20 squats)
Sheila: 11 rounds

Comment #286 - Posted by: Dublin Girls at April 15, 2006 9:42 AM

I've been biking alot so the 15 squats only lasted for 5 rounds and then made a switch to 15 situps... but i got 3 situps shy of 16 rounds done.

then finished up with 25 db thrusters, 400 meeter run, and 30 35lbs db swings. next time i hope to get 20 rounds
