Peace to all my Ninjas in the SEAL teams diggin' graves overseas, and thanks to Crossfit and it's disciples for their support of the military. No rest for the wicked.

Grave diggin'...god I hope so and best to 'em. But they aren't frogmen, its a mix of the branches.

Comment #12 - Posted by: sd at June 29, 2005 11:11 PM

Kay--

I'm sure they appreciate your concern...but don't worry about who men in the photo are. Know that they are awake when you sleep--ready to protect. In harm's way. The hard way. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Comment #14 - Posted by: Mike M at June 29, 2005 11:43 PM

Seriously, look at those guys in the picture, what they do then think about how hard the WODs seem. Are lives just got a little easier huh?

Comment #15 - Posted by: tombrose at June 30, 2005 3:38 AM

Got a look at the GL WOD video. Nice looking chipper, but what was the guy on the top of the "fort" supposed to be doing? Counting?
Nice form on the knees-to-elbows. Now I know I have been doing the correctly, just not that fast!

Comment #18 - Posted by: Ron N. at June 30, 2005 8:37 AM

Ron,

THe guy on top and on the left of the person doing thrusters were counting reps and recording them.

The 1 minute progression workout has awesome potential in all aspects of training. Like many CF models, try it with squats, cleans, thrusters and the like.

Get to 20 minutes with 60 kg. cleans or 40 kg. snatches......wow.

Comment #21 - Posted by: skenyon at June 30, 2005 10:09 AM

re: the pic - you guys get ALL the fun toys! 8-(

re: Rest Day? nope, making up for missed work this week. I combined last Saturday's hang-squat-clean and handstand pushup beast with (after a 10min break) yesterday's pullup progression. Results posted on the appropriate days for better reference in the future, but that was a *good* combination - really worked just about everything!

Kicked my rear end good, too. %-)

To all the "Sheepdogs" in the photo:

Keep on kick'n ass, we support you.

Sometimes the word "Gratitude" just isn't enough to describe what is really felt.

A friend and I started doing the WOD about 6-7 weeks ago at our college (Indiana State University) and have a group of 5 people doing it every day now. I'd like to make a website for our little group.

Is it proper to call ourselves ISU WOD or ??? I figured Crossfit ISU would be stealing the CF name since we're not certified instructors or anything.

A big thanks for all those who will put themselves in harms way in the defense of freedom.

Rest day yesterday due to much tattoo work killing any and all desire to do anything but drink. Double WOD today, 050626 and 050629. Hey Matt, beat your time on the first one. HA! Jits later.

Dave O,
Thanks. Thought so.

Rest day:
3x5 135# Romanian DL
3x5 185# speed DL
1x20 OHS w/bar
3x5 OHS 65#

Then the fun. I'm addicted to the pyramids, so I tried a push up pyramid. First 8 rounds were cake. Next 7 were a biatch.
Got to round 15 and the arms were quivering.
Finished with shuttle runs in the basketball court and 4x5 DB swings with 70#.
I want to be Bill Fox someday and swing the 40kg monster.
Only 15lbs to go!

Comment #30 - Posted by: Ron N. at June 30, 2005 5:02 PM

grady, i'm from a few classes back and i feel bad about the class doing that skit involving your "weird" workouts we saw you do and we'd joke about later in the clubhouse. Started Crossfit this month and am absolutely hooked. Nice change from standard PT.

Comment #31 - Posted by: dan at June 30, 2005 5:03 PM

Grady,

Thanks for letting folks know about the site. The caveat is that it's a soft launch and the search functions in the archived workout area (Schedule) are not fully functional yet. Give us another day or so and we'll have it licked.
