Good shot Duncan, and great running form!

My first hit in little league was also my last. At least we don't have to worry about his dad fighting in the stands.

Ah, memories.

I was truly expecting Duncan's first hit to be an overhand right to the jaw. Guess a hit in a baseball game is just as exciting! Can't wait for my boy to start playing ball next year. For now, gymnastics will do.

Way to go Duncan.

I went to the gym to GTG, but I couldn't take today off. After warm-up, I decided to practice OHS and ended up doing last Friday's WOD (which I missed) of progressive OHS, FS, and BS.

I came within about an inch of my first bar muscle up. If my bar was configured better, I could have leaned over it. One difference today was that I moved my hands closer together... probably spaced around 8". I was so close, that I wouldn't have left without getting one if I didn't have to get back to work.

I murdered today's WOD. My personal WOD is to eat a lot. 3 days left and then my first off week. WOOT!!

The running form is so cool, hands loose, head up, knee drive...

Did 7 rounds of a modified version of the CF warmup. I added 10/10 fast 24kg snatches to each round. Trying to work on he technique so they're very fast and easy. After 2 months I'm able to do a rock bottom OHSQ w/ the Oly bar barefoot.

After the 3 rd round the pullups and dips became pullup bar MU work. Started at the top did a slow "dip" down and back to the top then did a controlled negative MU with a quick pullup out of the bottom, 3x per round. Did the situps holding a 20lb med ball.

Will be scouting playgrounds at the shore tomorrow for some very early morning MU practice - don't want to scare any Mommies.

Howdy from CrossFit Austin!

Newbie - 3rd workout. Did modified "Grace" today in 5:18. Only used 55lbs, I'm 48 and don't want to break anything.

Am training with Adam Davila - he had to teach me the technique first. Little carryover from yoga or track except the sheer joy of pushing to the limit.

Hey Duncan-

Here’s some Uncle Rutman smack for your next outing.

1. Hey BLUE cut a hole in that mask. It's a long game and we need you all night. A GUARANTEED EJECTION.
2. Hey Pitcher- your stuff is so bad your Mom and Dad are out in the parking lot tossing tacos.

Attention...Matt G and Eugene to the 'Got Lungs?' thread in the Competition section of the Message Board...lets put it this way...17:25.

Just lovin' the Uncle Rutman smack!

I always liked, "Hey Blue, you buy a ticket for this one, 'cause you're missing a hell of a game!"

Set 2 PR's today doing the 050601 WOD. Will post results there.

Uncle Rutman...that's priceless!
