Oh yeah...situps while wearing a flak jacket. Nice and light.
Run 5K.....Thats all? ; )
Sat I tackle Fri's as well......
5K
Time: 36:25:69
Ran straightaways walked the turns at
local high school track. Trying to
ease into running.
6'0 210lbs.
Jeez Wild Bill, have you learned nothing?
Don't use phrases like "that's all?" or "X is easy"...it leads to nothing but pain.
yay 5k I still have a few poounds to sweat off for Sunday's Judo tournament anyway.
Boy do I feel bad for those folks in the pic...they look like they're gonna hurl.
that is a motivational pic.
Perfect Timing! I have a 5K run to compete in on Sunday.
I'll be doing whatever Jeff thinks up for us Brand X folks tomorrow.
Not for me. Did 20 miles today for marathon prep, so running tomorrow would be a bad idea! Will catch up on Sunday.
21:55 i just woke up and did it..before brkfst or anything at all.. not the best approach but oh...well.. have fun!
"The pushup thing is easier than it looks, the situp thing is way harder than it looks."
-Ron Livingston (actor: Office Space, Band Of Brothers) on intertwined platoon exercises.
-D.
Will get my 5K in tomorrow in a lacrosse game. After last weekend, this will be my second game in 3 years. We'll see how the back holds up after today's thrashing.
Go Navy Lax!
That pic nicely shows the wide variety of ages and abilities of people in Crossfit.

24:23
my best time EVER!!
beat my previous 5km by nearly 5 and a half minutes
forgot to add...it was on treadmill with incline at 1%
Hello from St. Louis...I get to go to the Louisville vs. Illinois game today.
5K...18:46
According to the treadmill I used. I don't know a precise 5K course around here, so I just went with the tread for today. Can you say "boring"? I varied the grade from 1 to 3 for something of an interval effect, speed at a constant 10mph.
And I'll second the "Go Navy LAX" sentiment. My brother is going to that game today.
After yesterdays WO, I was glad to see todays.
In the Gagetown sludge, 5K - 23:43
What was the final solution to doing the proper "DB Burpie Hang Squat Clean Thruster"?
23 minutes at the trails in local park. Coulda been faster if it wasnt so windy and dusty.
46 minutes for the total 6 miles.
25:09 - lousy time and feeling worse. Lots of gut pain before I started the run, more or less hobbled through it.
Did this as an untimed recovery run. Haven't taken a day off from hard running since sunday, so I took it easy in the interest of not overtraining. Besides, it was hard enough in the monsoon rains that are coming down here.
Matt G.,
Just letting you know that I am soooo freaking jealous that you're going to the Final Four.
Will (rabid b-ball fan) H.
After yesterdays not-so april fools WOD, a 5K jaunt is a welcomed sight today.
Body Armor PT, good stuff.
Rest day for me...5K will be on Tues....Burbee, hang squat thruster smoke me like cheap crack thing will be on Monday. I'm sure the Squad will send their sincere thanks. I'll let ya know.
HOOAH! Great pic. Teamwork at it's finest right there.
This will have to wait until tomorrow. My cold is bothering me today and I was up coughing most of last night. Sigh!
Matt G., could you do me a favor and leave some of your warrior spirit for my Tar Heels when you exit the stadium?

30:00 w/ring dips5x6 shoulders are fried
Fridays WOD first:
All sets unbroken..Time: 31:00
Todays WOD right after Fridays; Row 5km- 22:40
My aching body then crawled home : )
23:45:58 PR, that's three PR's in the last week (10k, Helen, and 5k)! And I thought I was slowing down. By the way yesterday's wod was insane.
17.41 but it was very ,very tough and the last mile was never ending.Ran it on local school 400m track, the laps are tough when you are counting down. How the kenyans and Ethiopians run under 13.00 is unreal but I guess they cannot do many pull ups or dips....I hope anyway!
27:46...might have been a smidge under 5K...haven't clocked this route yet, but the timing was about right for me.
Ted
oh yes forgot to say ofF to Gibralter for a while so I will be running up that rock path if I can....!
wow, just mapped my run and it was a bit more than 5K! Doh!
18+k skate ski with 840 ft elevation gain for time of 66:30.
A PR for me on this route. Conditions were fast in the shade and slow in the sun. I had a massive headache, stopped at the 7-11 on the way there and bought a packet of Advil. I would love to hit this route in fast conditions when I'm feeling good and get it in under an hour. Only 2-3 weeks left in this season so it might not happen this year.
crossfit warm up+ 5 mins jump rope
5k-19.45 done in hilly terrain
4 miles in just under 40 minutes.
First WOD and glad to be here
5k - 41.00
Today at work, stole a page from Dan John's Workout randomizer.
Big "55"

5-3-2
95 x 5

That adds 14 lbs to my PB for the OHS

did this after yesterdays b-hsc-t,pu combo
A pokey 35:25 for 3 miles
DNF. I'm posting to note my wussitude so it doesn't happen again, and simply to note that with the 10K last weekend, I suffered MAJOR shin splints. I could have walked the whole thing, but decided I wasn't actually accomplishing anything, so I quit. Ugly four letter word.
25:24. that's a 1:01 improvement over the 5k I did last Sunday.
-Brandt
6.1K in 31:40
Pushed ~80# worth of kids and jog stroller. 1st half of course downhill, 2nd half uphill.
Wife: 6.1K in 32:12
Same course. 1:38 faster than last time running this without the stroller.
Fought the wind on the first half of the course, but it gave me a push on the way back. Boy did I need it. A couple of hills on the course. Time was 24:07.
25:49 (2X liberty park=3miles)
May Cyn Bike Ride

Ran 4 miles from Kosovo. Man, the hills are big.

Slamball 150 reps 5:22
crazy rain here, so i swam with one of my friends. i did about 2500-3000 and he did something over 3000.
21:32 as part of the 10k from last week (because I still can't run properly since I did my knee in).
Instead, I did a 5k cycle (stationery) today in 4:26 (PR). I felt good, so carried on (or rather, got carried away), to 10k (9:12) and then 20k (20:58) and then a marathon (26 miles) in just under 50 mins, and then carried on to 50km in 59:42.
I had to wring out my vest afterwards big-time!
22:25
Over a minute slower thsn last time, just wasn't feelin it today!
They used to have this segment on Saturday Night Live where two of the cast went back and forth comparing "Don't you just hate it when....." and finish it off with some disturbing idea, like someone dragging their fingernails down a blackboard. Well, here's mine: Don't ya just hate it when you thought it was supposed to be a rest day and you find out you counted the days wrong? Yeah, and it's even worse when you find out at 7PM after eating Mexican and now you're guaranteed to hurl! (I can handle the hurling part, but the jalepenos are gonna be rough on the way back up)
.....and now it started raining!
Ran a loop through the neighborhood that my wife runs often. 39:11 for me, 39:38 for her. 12 minutes of running down the hill, then 27 minutes of the uphill "loop". Loads of fun. (Neighboorhood is at 6500' elevation.)
5k, 24:15. Still haven't done friday's WOD. My excuse friday was that I couldn't get to the gym. My excuse today was that I didn't have time. No excuse tomorrow. It sounds brutal; will certainly be interesting.
23:56. I wish I were skiing.
C2 5K
TOTAL TIME=18:55
felt great compared to my dismal 10K row earlier this week

CF warm-up x 3
WOD as Rx'd: 29:33
ran on the dimly lit and wet track of St Joe's University, Philadelphia
I did a workout Jeff had as one of the choices for today's class.
Pull up work: 2 P/U every minute on the minute. I used a stretch band assist and no jump. I did get a little help from the wall in front of me in the last few rounds.
Yay for the big dogs noticing my pull up improvements! *big grin*
27:50
Good time for me. I ran the 5k WOD from March 8, 2005 in 33:17. Felt very good tonight. Calves are tight but I really enjoyed the run.

Ran 30 miles this week, so I rowed instead.
Rowed 5k 19:14
Ran 10.10 miles in preperation of the Music city 1/2 Marathon coming up April 31 2005 in Nashville. Amazing thing is, I have not been doing long distance runs. Just CF, Thanks coach!

push harder...
get faster.
Carlsbad 5K: 31:34 net time (electronic chip time). Just under a 10 minute mile (31:34/3.2mi). Official pace 10:10 by the gun.
Dang. I ran the first mile in 9:40.
Second mile finished at 19:28
Last mile killed me. Over 12 minutes to do that last one. Pukie was chasing me.
Flashes of CF class at the home stretch, with a guy hollering, "400 meters ladies, let's GO!" LOL.
I think I placed 207th in my age group 35-39. I'll get the results later off the web site.
A note for comparison, last time I was running 5 miles a day 3-4 days a week. This year, I have only been doing crossfit and have actually rarely even done the 5K's when posted. Improving my time by 2 minutes is pretty cool when you think about that.
1 day late. 5K on rower 20:03
Mike Donnelly
33:41 on the gerbil wheel. Might be a world record. Still listening to the audio book about the breaking of the 4 minute mile. I love irony...and hate running!
19:21
A little dissapointed since it's about 45 seconds slower than last time. I guess I'm more tired from this week's WODs than I thought. I'd like to think it's not because I didn't push hard enough...
34:54--couple pretty big hills
hemmed and hawed until it started raining, so I ended up on a treadmill, no incline, 8.5 to 9.5 mph
20:10
did this on Sunday after spending 10am to 5pm on Saturday in the zoo with my wife and 16 month old daughter. Now that was tiring!
This was a hard run for me; I was pushing and may regret it somewhat tomorrow.
21:08 on the road. was hoping for something under 21. close.
22:14
Hills and dales: there is nothing flat in Kodiak, Alaska
3.05 miles/5k
28:31
atleast i beat my goal of 30:00. gotta get down to 6:00/mile asap.
late posting.
did this on a treadmill instead of outdoors, which really sucked.
time was really bad - somewhere around 27 min
(pressed the wrong button and had to restart the damn machine).
this makes two lousy runs in a row for me.
i don't know why my times are getting worse.
23.15 on treadmill
first 4 km's at 1% incline, last back to flat
12kmhr first km, 12.5km,13,13.5
58 seconds faster than my previous best in last 12 months
posting late. I actually did this on the correct day, though. About 27min slow and gasping on a treadmill. Last two WODs knocked out my legs.
