26# TSC pullups: working on speed and height with pauses at top and bottom - 3,1,2,3,1

8:12 pushups and anchored situps - I managed two unbroken pushup sets; the first 50 and the final 10. The rest had more breaks than I care to mention. Situps had no breaks, but Puff insisted on supervising from under my legs and she refused to move from that spot during the entire WOD.

Worked on lower back/hamstring flexibility and balance for pistols.

I don't even get bonus points for being the first to post....
20:10 with unanchored feet for situp. All push ups broken, no situps broken.
Finished with some pullup and a dispirited job home...
Stephen

Many, many breaks in pushups and anchored situps. Situps were actually slower.
19:00
Did a few pullups with 25 lbs after.

10:43,

Oh how humbling these can be, huh fellow Crossfitters? I was with Kelly, first set of push-ups unbroken, last set unbroken. The rest were a grind.

It was obvious to me that here is where Greg, Dave, Matt, etc are at their best. Where I drop from 50 push-ups on the first set to 20 on the second, they crank out all 40 on the next set, and so on. But, nevertheless, I have made tremendous progress on all of these movements and my ability to finish workouts.

Comment #5 - Posted by: chad stclair at July 4, 2004 8:12 AM

Chest/shoulders still feeling it from yesterday's workout. I had to break the sets of 30 and 40 for the push-ups. Anchored sit-ups for today.

Time was 8:30.

Happy 4th, all.

Unanchored feet, bent knee sit-ups, hands behind head. No breaks on push-ups. Brings back memories of the Army Physical Fitness test.

Once again, I tore the skin off of my right knee fighting with some drunk guy at work. At this rate of continual re-injury I should be healed up by 2006. Took an elbow to the face too. I feel creaky, old and ugly today and have decided to take a premature rest day. Happy fourth everybody, where did I put that charcoal?

Comment #23 - Posted by: Dan at July 4, 2004 3:11 PM

7:10; anchored situps. Rest-paused in the 40 and 30 pushup sets (on hands in pushup position). Everything else unbroken.

What is a TSC pullup? If it has already been discussed-a search did not produce a positive result-where can I find that. Thanks.

A day late. Wanted badly to get under 10 minutes, but just missed: 10.03. Pushups unbroken, but all big situp sets broken. A great holiday to all.

unanchored situps standard pushups

Comment #35 - Posted by: Paresh at July 5, 2004 5:48 PM

12:32...I think, I forgot to look at the clock when I started(out of town and left the stop watch at home). I did anchored sit-ups and girly push-ups with little pauses throughout, but got it done before a day at the river and lots of firworks that night!

Comment #36 - Posted by: Richard & Felicia at July 5, 2004 8:17 PM

21:00. All pushup sets broken, sit-up sets had a few brief pauses. Thought this would be a lot easier than it was...maybe because the last time I tried anything like it I was 16 instead of 34...

Kept strict form throughout. It was a very nice change of pace to have a workout I could do at home in the middle of whatever. Perfect for the holiday weekend!

Anchored situps were hard work - still recovering from a lower back injury from poor form in max deadlifts. Got a nice sweat going, though...

Comment #44 - Posted by: Pat at July 13, 2004 9:22 PM

All sets complete.
Non-anchored situps.
