26# TSC pullups: working on speed and height with pauses at top and bottom - 3,1,2,3,1
8:12 pushups and anchored situps - I managed two unbroken pushup sets; the first 50 and the final 10. The rest had more breaks than I care to mention. Situps had no breaks, but Puff insisted on supervising from under my legs and she refused to move from that spot during the entire WOD.
Worked on lower back/hamstring flexibility and balance for pistols.
I don't even get bonus points for being the first to post....
20:10 with unanchored feet for situp. All push ups broken, no situps broken.
Finished with some pullup and a dispirited job home...
Happy Fourth of July to everyone; especially all those who have served, are presently serving , And willserve Freedom's cause. Thank you !
7;44 todays WOD
Many, many breaks in pushups and anchored situps. Situps were actually slower.
Did a few pullups with 25 lbs after.
Oh how humbling these can be, huh fellow Crossfitters? I was with Kelly, first set of push-ups unbroken, last set unbroken. The rest were a grind.
It was obvious to me that here is where Greg, Dave, Matt, etc are at their best. Where I drop from 50 push-ups on the first set to 20 on the second, they crank out all 40 on the next set, and so on. But, nevertheless, I have made tremendous progress on all of these movements and my ability to finish workouts.
Chest/shoulders still feeling it from yesterday's workout. I had to break the sets of 30 and 40 for the push-ups. Anchored sit-ups for today.
Time was 8:30.
Happy 4th, all.
9:42 - unanchored situps
I did have to pause once in the 40 and 30 sets (stayed up on my hands)
10:21 Pushups done on paralletes and unanchored situps. Happy Fourth!
Unanchored feet, bent knee sit-ups, hands behind head. No breaks on push-ups. Brings back memories of the Army Physical Fitness test.
Ran 5 miles afterwards (35:01.13). Happy 4th to all. Be patriotic...go blow something up.
I just got my RINGS and it made a hell of a difference on the push-ups.
Did the first and last two rounds on the rings.
No breaks between pushups, however the unanchored sit-ups slowed me down.
Unbroken 50,20,10 push ups;trouble with unanchored sit ups--had to get anchored at 30 set...who ever did it under 15 minutes---you are the SH!!&$T!!
Happy 4th from West Point, NY
tougher than i expected. broke the 40,30,20 sets on pushups. unanchored situps.
Yuck. Warmed up with jump rope. Finished with Janda Sit-ups.
I feel like I failed the workout today, but I did the best I can as a beginner to Cross Fit.
Here are my results:
Push Ups / Crunches
45 / 45
22 / 40
25 / 30
15 / 15
10 / 10
Medicine Ball 10 lbs side to side twist 2x15
Step Mill Interval 2 sets 3 minutes each 68 step per min
1 mile walk with 20 lbs weight vest
Once again, I tore the skin off of my right knee fighting with some drunk guy at work. At this rate of continual re-injury I should be healed up by 2006. Took an elbow to the face too. I feel creaky, old and ugly today and have decided to take a premature rest day. Happy fourth everybody, where did I put that charcoal?
7:10; anchored situps. Rest-paused in the 40 and 30 pushup sets (on hands in pushup position). Everything else unbroken.
30:32 minutes. Do I get a prize for the longest time yet? Happy Fourth of July to all!
Man, this is humbling.... thought i was in good shape.. i struggled through this.
Anchored situps (not broken):
What is a TSC pullup? If it has already been discussed-a search did not produce a positive result-where can I find that. Thanks.
Five rounds, 50-40-30-20 and 10 reps for time of:
Push-ups (all sets broken)
Sit-ups (unanchored; no breaks)
Total Time= 9:53
Situps unanchored, broken sets, same with pushups. Pushups, chest to the ground, full extension.
First workout after returning from vacation in Sedona, AZ. for a week
No breaks on situps
Breaks on 40- 30/10
No break on 50 or 10
Then worked on Kettlebell Snatch and Bi's/Tri's
first two sets very strong - afterwords i could have gotten lower on pushups.
every set broken.
TSC stands for Tactical Strength Challenge. This competition has strict rules for the three lifts involved; for more information go to www.tacticalstrengthchallenge.com
A day late. Wanted badly to get under 10 minutes, but just missed: 10.03. Pushups unbroken, but all big situp sets broken. A great holiday to all.
unanchored situps standard pushups
12:32...I think, I forgot to look at the clock when I started(out of town and left the stop watch at home). I did anchored sit-ups and girly push-ups with little pauses throughout, but got it done before a day at the river and lots of firworks that night!
21:00. All pushup sets broken, sit-up sets had a few brief pauses. Thought this would be a lot easier than it was...maybe because the last time I tried anything like it I was 16 instead of 34...
Kept strict form throughout. It was a very nice change of pace to have a workout I could do at home in the middle of whatever. Perfect for the holiday weekend!
this is the first time I actually did 3 days in a row AND did the whole WOD, so I was pretty sore. Glad I pushed myself though!
sit-ups on the back extension machine done to Jim Baker standard.
push-ups done 50% legs elevated and on parellettes, 25% diamonds, 25% regular.
all broken up all over the place. Just getting wrecked.
Anchored situps were hard work - still recovering from a lower back injury from poor form in max deadlifts. Got a nice sweat going, though...
All sets complete.
