Squats: 11 rounds, ass-to-ankles
Pushups: 10.8 rounds, chest touching deck/full extension

13 rounds, but I'm sure my form wasn't nearly the equal of Matt's. Oh an easy one, thought I, no big weights to push, no running. Not easy, no.

Comment #2 - Posted by: adam at May 8, 2004 5:35 AM

9 rounds squats
8.3 rounds pushups

Pushups were the bottleneck. Squats were not too bad.

Comment #3 - Posted by: KevinA at May 8, 2004 6:16 AM

I just realized that I shorted myself 1 round.
Actually...
10 squats
9.3 Pushups

Comment #4 - Posted by: KevinA at May 8, 2004 6:33 AM

16 rounds squats/ 16 rounds pushups plus 26 sqts B4 time ran out.

Comment #5 - Posted by: Dave K at May 8, 2004 7:10 AM

I was able to perform 7 sets of squats and 6.3 sets of push-ups before time ran out, however I had to break them up.

Squats -- 35 --- 35 --- 35 --- 20,15 - 20,15 - 20,15 - 35
Push-ups-20 - 10,10 - 10,10 - 7,7,6 - 7,7,6 - 7,7,6 - 7

Comment #6 - Posted by: Dave O at May 8, 2004 7:50 AM

8.5 rounds of squats
8 rounds of push-ups

Got to do this one with Mark Mueller and Brain Mandock, both of whom buried me.
Afterwards Mark threw in a kettlebell shuttle run which consisted of transporting 2 35-ib kettlebells individually via a 25-meter sprint with a total of 5 sprints each drill. We each did two.

Either 6.5 rounds of ass-calves squats and 6 rounds of pushups alternating each set or maybe plus 1 set I missed 'cause I was breathing so hard. 1st X-fit post. I've followed the site for a while and dabbled here and there but finally broke down and bought a subscription and tried to complete a WOD. You freaks are amazing. I'm a 43 yo ex-rugger from Baltimore who is going to try to recapture the fitness I wish I always had. Thanks to all of you who post such fantastic efforts for the great inspiration!

9 rounds.

Played Hooverball yesterday with Pappas. He won this one to even the series at 1-1. A two-man hooverball with the 20 lbs medicine ball in the sand is tough work. My triceps did not want to do push-ups this morning.

Comment #9 - Posted by: chad stclair at May 8, 2004 8:50 AM

Went 10 rounds even with 2 seconds to spare. Legs were burning from round 1 on.

Dave K- 16 rounds is ridiculous! Nice work.

Comment #10 - Posted by: Cyrus at May 8, 2004 10:21 AM

I too fell into the notion that - no weights, easy workout. Ha!

10 rounds squats, 9.9 rounds push ups (23).

Legs blasted after yesterdays DL and todays squats!

Comment #11 - Posted by: Andy P. at May 8, 2004 10:29 AM

8 rounds squats, 7 12/25 rounds pushups. Pushups slowed me way down after 3rd round.

Comment #12 - Posted by: steve h at May 8, 2004 11:19 AM

6 rounds ass-ankles squats very strict form and slow
6 rounds pushups chest to floor
harder than i thought it would be

Comment #13 - Posted by: scooter at May 8, 2004 12:18 PM

16 rounds - wow! Dave, you have nothing to fear from me...

I managed 12 rounds - finished the last shaky pushup just as the beeper sounded. Had to start breaking the pushups at round three, but at least I was never reduced to any less than 5 per breakdown. Squats started slow and stiff, but I felt better as time went on and was able to increase the speed the last rounds to make up for the slowing pushups.

Comment #14 - Posted by: kelly at May 8, 2004 12:22 PM

Did 7 rounds of both. I wanted add in some ab work so I did 35 squats, 25 pushups, and 15 unanchored situps. This slowed me down somewhat but the workout was still hard.

Comment #15 - Posted by: Brian at May 8, 2004 2:41 PM

9 rounds.
Hi Pukie, stay where you are.

Comment #16 - Posted by: SteveS at May 8, 2004 4:59 PM

14 rounds on the buzzer after doing last night's deadlift workout. Had to break the pushups up on rounds 8 and 13.

Comment #17 - Posted by: Lynne Pitts at May 8, 2004 5:24 PM

Lynne - you are whupped me good ... and unlike you, I had many hours between WODs! Impressive.

Chad - wow ... 20# Hoover ball before this WOD? I can only imagine how you would have scored today if your triceps had been fresh.

Adam - despite my best efforts 13 rounds was out of my reach. You got me on this one.

Comment #18 - Posted by: kelly at May 8, 2004 6:07 PM

10 rounds after a long road ride.
I'm dead :)

Comment #19 - Posted by: Mark Sch at May 8, 2004 6:34 PM

10 Sets + 15 Squats

Comment #20 - Posted by: Steve M at May 8, 2004 6:39 PM

My first WOD.

I almost passed out after I finished, but I managed to get in 10 sets of each with 3 seconds left.

I've changed my life and body through 2 years of the BFS program, but after today's workout I'm convinced that crossfit is the next step.

Comment #21 - Posted by: Luke at May 8, 2004 8:35 PM

10 push-ups shy of 13 rounds. Took extended rests (30-45 seconds) after every 3rd round. Broken sets on both exercises after round 3.

Comment #22 - Posted by: Ryan at May 9, 2004 7:58 AM

8 rounds of squats; 7.5 of pushups. The pushups killed me.

Comment #23 - Posted by: Jeff W at May 9, 2004 2:05 PM

I was happy with 4 -- y'all are monsters.

Hope this one reappears in a month or two!

Comment #24 - Posted by: John Frazer at May 9, 2004 6:45 PM

8 rounds
+ 20 squats

Comment #25 - Posted by: Andy at May 9, 2004 9:12 PM

5 rounds in 15 minutes...recovering from back tweak

Comment #26 - Posted by: Mike Y at May 10, 2004 5:28 AM

Did 6 rounds of both. Squats were cool, push ups were really difficult.

Comment #27 - Posted by: Lisa at May 10, 2004 2:44 PM

Comment #28 - Posted by: KEG at May 11, 2004 8:21 AM

2nd 20 and 15 squat
13, 7, 5 PU

3rd
15, 13, 7 squat
15, 10 PU from my knees ( I was junk)

Body weight 305 :)

Comment #29 - Posted by: Will at May 11, 2004 10:20 AM

6 rounds + 35 squats + 7 secs left = tired kid.

squats slow, steady, below parallel.
PU 25 for first set, 10/5/5/5 thereafter.

A very nice exercise in balancing aerobic and lactic capabilities!

Comment #30 - Posted by: Chris K at May 11, 2004 3:55 PM

7 rounds....

Comment #31 - Posted by: Philip at May 11, 2004 4:23 PM
