Outstanding job Sage!
Knowing I'm going to miss a WOD or two this week due to being out of town, I took some inspiration from Sage and did the following overhead squat/pullup workout:
45 x 3 / 5 - all squats started with bar on rack overhead; all squats below parallel
45 x 3 / 5
65 x 3 / 5
85 x 3 / 5
95 x 2 / 5
100 x 1 / 5
105 x 1 / 5
110 x 1 / 5
115 x 1 / 5 PR and several pounds over bwt!
Finished with 6 sets of 10 pullups (that was the max number of sets I could do for consecutive 10 reps), starting the timer for a one minute rest after each set. Knowing my grip strength gave up yesterday during the WOD, I used the squat bar for pullups as it was set up for the overheads. The bar would rotate a little if I tried to reposition my hands during the set - it sure fried my grip in a hurry!
Bo,
The phone connection died...feel free to call me back at the same number. I'm working 2pm to midnight the next couple days. Like you, I'm taking part of my gym with me on a road trip later this week: parallettes, a pair of kettlebells, a jumprope and running shoes. I figure it will be a great time to work on running and double unders.
Took the last 3 days as rest. Plan to go back hard tomorrow. >:)

Congratulations, Sage! First Kelly Moore and Lynne Pitts, now Sage Burgener. Julia has one more female role model from the Crossfit community.
crap. that girl can clean and jerk more than me!

Sage IS awesome. I get to train with her a couple of times a month. A couple of weeks ago, she showed me how to turn a kettlebell over without banging the forearms. Earlier this year she pointed out a flaw in my pulling technique. She's quite a lifter and a real nice kid.
same here scott,
from the size of those weights she's hoisting I think she might be able to kick my ass!
God I can't c & j 100lbs which is what it looks like she's doing.
I think that's 42.5 or 45 kilos on the bar. (93 or 99 pounds.) Sage's best is around 60 kilos (132 lb.)
