15:12 running on the human gerbil wheel and definitely NOT tabata speed squats! My traps are very sore from yesterdays thrusters.

Comment #3 - Posted by: kelly at February 2, 2004 8:10 AM

17:34, treadmill. Slight improvement in time; for me that's a big deal.

NOTHING!Laid low with a virus ,very fustrating reading these workouts. However I know from past experience that exercising hard whislt suffering from a virus can lead to more problems. On this note do the crossfit coaches ever recommend 3-4 days off just to recharge batteries? Evolutionary speaking Man must have had fallow periods after a hunt or in bad weather!

Squats very tough, had to break the last three sets. Each one to 9" off floor. Gonna feel this one for a couple days.

Comment #8 - Posted by: Steve D. at February 2, 2004 12:19 PM

27:22 treadmill 3% grade

Very tough. Tried to keep my 400m times under 2 minutes, only succeeded on the first two. Had to break up the squats into two sets for the first two rounds and three for the last two rounds. And to think I was excited because it was "only" four rounds today.

17:30 on an indoor track.

Very nice.

Dang it!! My time was for 5 rounds. OH well.
So my adjusted 4 round time is probably around 22:48.

Comment #12 - Posted by: Eagle_Eye at February 2, 2004 1:08 PM

Eagle eye - 5 ROUNDS?! I nearly died at four.

Total time - 13:53. Used a treadmill for the runs, kept it at 10 MPH all the time. I really need it to be summer again, that thing is gonna break soon. -_-;

The squats destroyed me. By the end, I was almost sure that I was going to puke. Thankfully, I did not.

I continued my work on L sits and planche hold today. I'm still doing the frog sit hold, but my set times have improved on both. AND I was wearing shoes today, so I'm surprised. My l-sit time asofar is 26 seconds. W00t, hehe.

15:36 running outdoors on snowy road. Off to ski now.

Comment #15 - Posted by: MikeY at February 2, 2004 2:04 PM

Kevin,
Well I was dying, but as you can see from my time I was cruising and was not a flash of lightning. I ran at 7 mph.

Comment #16 - Posted by: Eagle_Eye at February 2, 2004 2:39 PM

17:35 and felt strong, should have pushed harder. Some of these work are a bear and I am a little gun shy. I'll push harder on this one the next time it comes around.

Comment #18 - Posted by: trey at February 2, 2004 4:18 PM

15:30 treadmill. Did yesterdays wod this morning. Being TDY is hell on the workouts.

Comment #19 - Posted by: Tony at February 2, 2004 5:31 PM

16:40 -- I subbed 400m on the Concept2 for the run.

Comment #20 - Posted by: Brock at February 2, 2004 5:55 PM

Comment #21 - Posted by: Josh C at February 2, 2004 6:02 PM

12:54 I like the running. This stuff is perfect for indoor soccer fitness.

Comment #22 - Posted by: cajh at February 2, 2004 6:14 PM

15:19

Legs burning at the end, but a nice WOD.

Comment #23 - Posted by: chad stclair at February 2, 2004 7:35 PM

Changed it up a bit and did 4 rounds of
400m run
225x10 back squat
probably not as much lactic acid as the air squats but pretty good workout nontheless

Finished up with 3 rounds of
BP 205 max reps
incline pushups same reps as above

Comment #24 - Posted by: Mike Wallace at February 2, 2004 7:42 PM

11:12 used the treadmill.
1. 10.3mph
2. 10.5mph
3. 10.5mph
4. 11.0mph
168 avr. heartrate, 185 max...

Mike Wallace, ouch! Those squats must have made the running difficult....

it felt good to get back into it. i didn't do yesterday's wod as i was driving back from vegas after watching the ufc 46.

Comment #26 - Posted by: jerme at February 2, 2004 11:01 PM

14:54. Outdoor track at midnight.

I was quite stunned to have a time that wasn't double everyone else's. I even paced the track and it does appear to be about 400m.

I've been following the WOD for 10 weeks now. I guess this Crossfit thing does work.

18:11 on the tmill @ 2%. Does this running biz *ever* get better?

Comment #30 - Posted by: Lynne Pitts at February 3, 2004 3:46 PM

21:24. I did the whole thing! My first ever WOD completed with no "cheats" and my time wasn't signifigantly higher than others. Either this stuff is working, or I had a really good day.
