65# hang squat cleans/18:44
65#/1124sec=.0578

I did it! All reps below parallel. And the weights never touched the floor until the set was done. I'm glad I stayed at a lighter weight; my form is getting more solid and my traps are still sore from the thrusters. It was hard to shrug the little weight high and fast today.

It is cold this morning. Frost everywhere and a brisk wind. Running down the basement stairs to the weights became interesting as I negotiated the stairs with fogged over glasses. Winter is coming.

Good work Kelly! It was kinda brisk out here too - though not frosty yet.

135# hang cleans and 31:44
135/1904 = .0709034 (approximately)

Then when I came in post the results I re-read the fine print at the bottom and realized I should have done squat cleans vice the power version. Oh well, some day I'll read the whole thing before the workout.

Hang squat cleans: 135#

95 lbs. for the hang squat cleans.

Total time: 17:44 = 1064 seconds

95/1064 = .089

Will try 105 next time.

First time with the cleans, so I did them with just 45 lbs, concentrating on good form.

Total time: 18:40 = 1120

45/1120 = .040

I actually find the WOD makes me nervous, first when I check to see what Coach has cooked up for us today, and second, just before the workout begins. Not dread, just nervousness.

I wonder if it ever goes away.

Patrick-

Many have expressed the same sentiment...excitement mixed with a bit of dread!

Unfortunately, I just got home at 9:00 (gymnastics meet, we lost >_<) and I didn't have time to do the WOD. I guess it was meant to be, my back was killing me today for some reason, as was my wrist from all this gymnastics.

Oh well. I'll take a rest day, and get back to it Saturday. No use crying over spilled milk!
^o^

No access to barbell today. Did ~20 min of sprint-rest intervals in the local hills.

Still a day behind. Tried to match Mike J's time and weight. No such luck (keep pushin' me Mike!). Squat cleans went OK. It was trying to run fast after the cleans that gave me the most difficulty. Used 135# and a 10 inch box to ensure I was actually doing a squat clean.

Time was 17:17 for a score of (135/1037)=.13

I am really enjoying the workouts. I had to do the Thursday workout on Friday because of my work schedule. I am trying to stick to the program even though I live in Japan and the time is different. Impressed by the other scores!
