Loyd Lewis gets a little assist performing the "hollowback" (bent arm - straight hip - straight leg) press to a handstand. This is the fourth in our series of five presses to handstand and with the "stiff-stiff" is the second press of merit. This press is easily spotted with a gentle lift of the feet towards the handstand.
From American Gymnast here's a midsection conditioning drill. Midsection workouts are perfect warm-up elements.

Coach, this series of handstand progressions are terrific and challenging. Practicing trying to do these as well as the front and back levers has been fun. Keep them coming.
27:05!!!
I can't believe it! The last 5K WOD (07-22) I posted just shy of 37 minutes and that took all I had. Today I never had to stop to walk and could even step up the pace the last hundred yards. I'm going to be on cloud nine all day!
Crossfit works!!

Way to go Kelly! Keep up the hard work, it's paying off.
Dave
Good work Kelly!
I managed to do mine in 28:54 .... I haven't done anything longer than 100yds in over a year. I'm happy with that as a start.
Gary
Typo!!! Make that 38:54 .... I do have a long way to go.
28:25 Was really sucking wind at the end. The feeling when you finish is definitely worth the effort.

22:16, 3mi (4.83 k), 105 heat index. Goal is sub-18 min. Long way to go.
swam for 1/2 hour. have never swam past 5 minute intervals. it was an ugly ugly ordeal.
26:30. I was stoked. I thought it was great for a 230 lb., 36 year old man. I accelerated all the way through the last 440 yards.
