CrossFit Montgomery County (Tai Randall) steps into the CrossFit Affiliate Snapshot.

Affiliate Since: August 2009.

Location: Gaithersburg, MD, USA.

Sq Ft: 1600.

Number of Members? Around 40 (and growing!)

How many times have you moved your affiliate location? 1 - we started in the park and then moved into our box.

Number of Trainers? 3 (including myself).

Greatest joy as a CrossFit affiliate: Being able to come into the gym everyday and watch as people consistently redefine their limits.

Keep reading! There's more!

Biggest worry as a CrossFit affiliate: That someone had a bad experience at another affiliate and won't try another one because they think CrossFit affiliates are like McDonald's (same experience no matter which one you go to).

Do you Facebook? Or Twitter? Facebook.

Do you blog daily? Yes - I love writing blurbs to help educate people, make them ponder fitness and make them laugh.

If you had Coach Greg Glassman's ear, what would you ask him? If he'd like to go grab a beer.

If you could give new CrossFit affiliates one piece of advice, what would it be? Don't be afraid to outwardly love what you do - let it show.

Complete the sentence: CrossFit is . . . more than fitness - it's a transformation.

Biggest lesson you've learned as a small business owner: No matter how big my ego is about my capabilities, it simply can't be done alone.

Using 3 words or less, describe your affiliate culture: Mediocre sucks!

Gym dog? Or no gym dog? No gym dog - we have members who act as mascots.

Tai is a great coach, although he can be a pain in the ass some of the time... Since I'm a member at CFMC I'm sure this just bought me some burpees but oh well. Its a great place to Crossfit and I wouldn't want to WOD anywhere else.

Great gym - I enjoy working out at CFMC when visiting family in that area!

Tai and the other trainers at CFMC are GREAT! as a new member and long time avoider of any exercise, they've welcomed me and made me feel part of the family. I generally look forward to the WOD's! Keep up the good work!
