CrossFit Oahu posts a new gym record. Congrats to Emilia on the birth of her son! (Emilia has been CrossFitting for about two years -- with her mother, father, sister, and husband -- and felt it really helped her during the the pregnancy, physically and mentally.)

One life begins at CF Oahu, but a life ends at Albany CrossFit, where a beloved member was lost. Read ACF trainer Joy's note about the loss of her husband Steve, and the support of the ACF community during such hard times.

Witnessing the birth of my first grandchild was an unforgettable and treasured experience. As Emilia's mother I was lucky to help coach Emilia thru her (EXTREMELY rapid and intense) labor along with her husband, JP. Emilia stayed right on top of every contraction without panic, breathed perfectly and pushed like a champ as we counted for her. When told NOT to bear down or push she was able to transfer the energy from her lower body to her upper by imagining hanging from a pull up bar using our arms to grip. I have given birth to three beautiful daughters (long ago - my youngest is 13), all WITH meds ,2 c-sections. I was SO proud to witness the power and strength of my eldest child as she took what she has learned as a crossfit athlete to give birth to my handsome grandson, Joaquin. She certainly kicked MY ass in the birthing department :) Yes, that time reads right: 1 hour and 56 minutes from water breaking to holding her son in her arms. She worked out at CFO till days before his birth, healed incredibly quickly, and is already back on the black mat (DR ok'd). Mahalo to the CFO family for all the love and support given to ALL our new Mama's (we had 5 babies born total within ONE month!!!) and big thanks, also, for the post!

Congratulations Emilia! Your new "boss" has arrived!

Albany CrossFit~ standing by one of your own in probably one of her darkest times-you guys/ladies are good people. CrossFit Persevere will take on Steve's WOD in honor of him for sure.

Where is Steve's WOD posted? I would like to pass it on to CFO. Our sympathy and thoughts are with the family. Glad you had Albany CrossFit to support you and give you all such wonderful memories of your loved one.

Congratulations Emilia and all the other new moms at CFO. under 2 hours is amazing, and way to get right back at it!

Albany CF - you guys have been awesomely supportive of your people - our sympathies go to the family, losing a loved one is a terrible time. lucky for them they have such a strong support system in you guys.

Caroline -- I don't think Albany CrossFit has posted Steve's WOD yet. I believe they will be doing it soon, so their website is probably the best place to check. Thanks.

Yes, we will post the WOD on Friday.

Crossfit should take data from women who participate in cf and their birth times. It would just be another reason to Crossfit.
