Phil, Karen, and Troy in their first week of operations at the new, permanent location of South Baltimore CrossFit. One week in and they already scored some press. Good luck to SBCF!

Opening your own Crossfit box (or any business) can scare the snot out of you. It's a lot of risk and investment on a dream. Will you be good at it? Will people like it? What do (or did) you say to yourself in those small moments of doubt? Tell us words to help a new affiliate owner carry on and forge ahead. So many of us have been in those sneakers . . .

So, you can get your kids to hang out at the gym, but how do you get them to eat clean? In a world of fast food and bad influences, how do you cook for your children and not succumb to the hot dog and mac cheese temptations? And how do you help your clients to do the same?

For some of us, stretching is like eating brussels sprouts when we were kids -- we know it's good for us, but we still try to avoid it. For more info on stretching, check out this CrossFit Journal article and this Wine Country CrossFit blogpost. And then go eat some brussels sprouts. Your mom would be happy.

There's just something about a 6am pull-up: Practice CrossFit (OH).

Rituals. We all got 'em. For some folks, it's the 6am WOD. For others, it's the three times they regrip the bar before they pull on a deadlift. And some folks must load metal plates facing inwards. Got any rituals you care to reveal? Or are they all too sacred to talk about?

Fight Gone Bad is a whole series of rituals. And now The Dirty South, Hell's Half Acre, and all the rest of the U.S. CrossFit Regions are on standby for Fight Gone Bad IV and its brand-new Regional Competition.
