Adam Eidson, owner of RARE Crossfit, completed the Mountain Masochist 50 ++ Mile Trail Marathon in 10 hours. Immediately afterward, he competed in the Iron Horse and bench pressed his bodyweight 20 times. Then, he lifted parked cars off of children and levitated kettlebells. (*One of these statements is not true. Pick which one.)
Birthday WODs! What do you do at your affiliate? Post to Comments. (And Happy Birthday to the Marine Corps today!)

Adam - awesome job! Guess that running cert really helped!
To all my USMC brothers - Happy Birthday and Semper Fi!
I workout with SPC-crossfit (Ohio) and I turned 22 a little over a month ago, so we did a workout called "22 Son"
22 son
3 rounds for time of:
400 meter run
11 thrusters (95/65 lbs.)
11 pood and a half KB swings
22 Pull-ups
Give it a go sometime, it was fun.
Ohh Rah! Happy 233rd Birthday Marines!
Semper Fi!
At CFK OKC our daughter Tabitha does "Tabitha" Someting Else on her birthday. Her age equals the number of total minutes that she does. This year she turned 17 so we added two rounds of rowing to equal 17 minutes.
We do it the day after someones Bday.
'Hung Overrrrr'
3 rounds of;
3min row
3min double unders
usually does the trick
Hahahaha! Yeah! That'll teach him to turn 25!
I usually have the person's significant other send me a list of all the exercises they hate the most and then construct a workout around the number of the age they're turning.
Next week we have a "Lordy Forty" coming up! Stay tuned for THAT vid!
I have my trainees pick what they want to do for their b-day WOD. They either pick one of their favorites or they come up with an original. There have been some really creative ones so far! The rule is they have to be there to do the workout too. I think they all get really excited about making up the WOD and coming to workout on their b-day.
Wow Adam...you take my breath away.
I WOD @ home, work, & CF Snohomish. For my CF birthday (1 year of Crossfitting) I did 365 pullups for time. One for every day CF has truly changed my life. SemperFi, 3/7 Kilo, 29 Stumps!
One of our athletes had her 17th birthday the other day. Here is what we did:
Accumulate 3 minutes L-Hold (she loves ab work)
Find your 1 RM squat clean, then...
"Mariah's 17th"
17 reps for time:
Squat clean 75% of your 1 rep max
YEA CFED! Yea Marshall!!
(I really like that 'touch the ground with your other hand' on the dumbell snatches...)
