Well done CF Inferno. You could not have made that any truer to form. All of us from the CrossFit Central Edmonton community applaud your work and are humbled by your effort.
Congratulations, and welcome, CrossFit Ventura! Glad to see more CrossFits opening up in Ventura County. I'll be sure to spread the good word and get some of my friends out there to visit.
As a crossfitter I'm all about pushing through a WOD and know what it's like to have painful calluses...
but am I the only one who thinks this picture is just a little lame? Bleeding calluses, okay I know what they are...I wish I could articulate my thought on this better, but the pic (not the person in it) is cheesey.
Thanks Mike, we really appreciate all your support!
leah,
the picture was taken after Matt put forth a truly phenomenal effort during our opening workout. I felt his bleeding calluses helped capture just how hard he pushed with us that day.
I'll try to let Matt know that he needs take better care of his hands during our workouts so I can take some photos that don't look so "cheesy"...
Sorry to have to say this guys, but letting your hands get to that point is just f'ing stupid. I've been doing Crossfit for over 2 years and have no problem putting on gloves when my hands start to get mangled.
That was an awesome grand opening and Matt's a savage!
Great tribute guys and strong work.

I'm reminded of Rippetoe, who says
"When you go out and buy a pair of gloves, make sure that you get the purse to go along with them."
Generally speaking, the people who think pushing to the point of a ripped callus is stupid are the people who are looking for an excuse to stay in their comfort zone.
Rip your hands every now and then...it's good for the soul!
Awesome tribute Inferno. A truly inspiring effort. And a great song too! Haven't heard AIC used in many WOD videos! Keep up the great work
You Tell Everyone At The Games That Ripped Their Hands That They Are F'cking Stupid. Intensity And Perserverance Are 2 Words That Come To Mind.
Unbelievable tribute. Great work Inferno.
