Hats off to you for all the work that goes into crafting a handmade brew. Lotta love and work there. Great label to boot.

With a nod and tip of the hat to Rippetoe for inspiring the brew - my tastes run a bit darker. I'd like to submit a motion to petition the Brewmeister to create something like a "Big Barbell Stout - rich in iron." Or even a "Push Press Porter," if a stout is out of the question. Motto for the brew is "Go Heavy or Go Home."

Same message posted on the Brock's brew blog (link above on his name).

I think there is a serious market for this.

I love the name and label for the Overhead Pale Ale.

I also love John T.'s ideas about "Big Barbell Stout - rich in iron." Or even a "Push Press Porter," if a stout is out of the question. Motto for the brew is "Go Heavy or Go Home."

O.K. so how do I "get some".

Finally a real beer being considered as the official CF beer. Not that lame Coors Light as in previous videos!!

Beer and fitness go together like peanut butter and jelly..or do they? Ha Either way, I'm curious to give it a taste.

Man I hope this stuff turns out OK after all the build-up.

Andy T. - I've actually got a porter fermenting right now as well and another CF Eastside homebrewer (Sean McDaniel) has a stout. We've been trying to think of applicable names for them, so don't be surprised if we 'borrow' your suggestions!

I don't know that CrossFit really needs an 'official' beer, but pretty much anything would be better than conceding the title to Coors Light.

As alluded to previously, Overhead Pale is just one of several homebrews created by myself and another brewer at CFES. Altogether, we'll be featuring 6 beers at the gym on 10/26 for our pre-barbell-cert party (it made sense to *us*).

Here's the latest round of labels/names. The first three are mine, the last three are Sean McDaniel's:

Overhead Pale Ale
Halfwit Belgian Wit
Past Parallel Porter
Bent Bar Imperial Stout
Dead Weight Dunkelweizen
YBF Special Bitter

It should definitely be an interesting evening...

I give my most hearty endorsement to the Dunkelweizen. Smooth, creamy. Very nice.

The labels were/are hysterical. Thanks for posting those.

Great working out with you guys, Brock and Sean, on the "dwarf" team. Sorry I couldn't spend more time, but I should be back in November.

Thanks also to Carrie and Street - you guys are great trainers. I worked on handstand walking sideways against a fence as part of my warmup. If I'm back in November, I'm hoping I'll have some progress to show.

Cheers.

Dale
