I'll be doing it this Saturday.
A kind of sickly chuckle came out of my mouth.
BTW - 9 in Roman is not VIIII but IX.
I second that question...
1) Power clean (from the hang position usually, but it can also be done from the floor)
2) Front squat
3) Push press (from front of shoulders)
4) Back squat
5) Push press (from behind the shoulders
--Also, there is a great video clip of the 'Bear' on last Tuesday's main crossfit page (9/25/07)
---and as motivating as it IS, it is really a 'BEAR' of a workout--very challenging to the core and back stabalizers! (and I LOOOVED IT!)
Jeff....it seems you are always trying to hurt your 'Big Brother'! ;^)
It's love Skip...Tough love.
I just completed my very first Crossfit work out with Leo from Crossfit in Longwood FL, regretfully it was this one. I did eight in 40 minutes.
Painstorm XXX with friends
Kempie and Leon 10 rounds as Rx-ed - straight leg bear crawls throughout
Friend of mine Tracy had arranged to come round for a workout. Not trained with the Rx-ed drills so did
AMRAP 40 min
15 SDHP, 16kg
15 DB thrusters, 2x10kg
50 m bear crawl
6 rounds in 41 min. A real strong performance.
On the subject of strong, Leon had deadlifted 185kg (407lb for a triple in the week so wanted to find a new 1rm. So as a warm-up for Painstorm he hit 200kg (440lb) then 211kg (465lb) pretty easy. This boy is not far away from 5 bills.
Definitely a CFNEE record, awesome work fella!
Cheers, kempie
