Hey everyone - I'm a little nervous about the show - since Shannon, the woman I coached for 8 weeks to lose weight, ended up at the same weight at the end as when we started! You'll have to watch to get the details, suffice it to say she had a bunch of medical issues to deal with including complications from her gastric bypass surgery from 8 years ago (left un-dealt with until meeting me - and I don't know if they will show this in the show), and a previously unknown thyroid condition...

I'm curious how they'll deal with this in the show...

I'm visiting my folks and caught the program last night purely by chance as I had no idea it was going to air.

I have an extreme bias already being a CF convert but felt that Andy's approach to training held up well when displayed alongside the other two programs.

My parents, though, offered what I felt was a great view from people who regularly participate in athletics but have never had any exposure to CF. They loved the variety of exercises and movements that Andy was putting his client through and were impressed that he was able to "torture" (their words and stated in a positive manner after Shannon stated that "Every workout at this place is the worst workout in the world.") his clients in an obviously effective manner without having to resort to the screaming/belittling tactics employed by one of the other trainers on the program. They loved that he was courteous and continually offered encouragement while never really letting up. They were so impressed with him and the workouts they say Andy putting his client through that they have decided to try out some of the CF workouts. I've been trying, unsuccessfully, to convince them to try it for the last year and 15 minutes of them watching someone do it on TV ended up being enough to persuade them in the end.

I think the fact that they were most impressed by the CF workouts despite his client not losing weight (obviously as a result of her medical issue and not her diet or workout program) speaks volumes to the appeal of these types of workouts and the professionalism that Andy demonstrated during the sessions with his client.

Kudos Andy for being an awesome representative of the CF community.

Congrats!
